Great footages, that water looks so clean, I would be sticking some mangos at the point if I were there. We call those bluefish that size "Snappers" from where I grew up, they run in schools during the summer months, anything larger than that is pate ingredient. I have yet to hit the coast this year, we had plans to do some crabbing during the full moon last weekend but work scheduled changed. Still have July and August, I need to get my speargun and gear ready, time to shoot some mangos off those points. My wife does not care for trout but she sure loves those macks. Sure looks like a nice day out there, thank for sharing.
Be careful spearing off the jetty. I’m not sure if it’s legal. I’ve seen the coast guard take people out the water when they spear before. Nevertheless have fun out there when you get the chance!

I caught my PB Trout there last year, 31" (actually caught 2) on a Corky Fat Boy Texas Chicken. We were catching Reds & Sharks in X-Mas Bay a few days ago. Water was so beautiful & clear
Yeah I’ve never seen it like that at Quintana but I’ve seen it like that a few times in surfside. I saw the fish kill I went Saturday and it smelled so bad all the way to the surfside jetty
I went last week but there were a lot of dead fish and the water was a bit dirty. I caught some good fish because I wasn't sure if they were edible. I don't know how long it will take for the place to be cleaned up.

Bleeding some fish greatly enhance the cook flavor. Always bleed Spanish.
