That 1000th Grand Prix livery was incredible
It's the white trim they miss... it used to really make the red pop whereas the black/raw carbon along the sides and bottom is nowhere near as smart.

Should have done a modern twist on the 2002 car. Gone for a candy red (like the Alpine but red of course) with white spoiler and white front wing.
Red and green looks horrendous together.

I like how Sky Sports News now search out Craig Slater as their go to guy for F1 analysis: He knows nothing, he's a generic sports news broadcaster. He spent most of his career covering football and now he's been shoehorned in to Sky's F1 team for some bizarre reason.

Why does Sky talk up Red Bull so much every single year? Hamilton would not give anything away for them to tear it apart in their worship of Max and Red Bull... I see Ferrari and McLaren as their main competition as without doubt that Merc will be way down the track come race day.
They're just playing devil's advocate to create excitement and frenzy around the upcoming race, plus everybody's desperate to finally see a true battle at the front of the grid

Even if Mercedes isn't the fastest team in testing and Red Bull is we've seen that story before and come the first race of the season we see Mercedes dominate
If Mercedes win another season, it's just another nail in the coffin for f1.
Ferrari should be better, though not great this year...Merc/Ham should easily wrap up the titles. As usual, the press has to hype up RBR for sake of public interest and Mercedes does the usual sandbagging/deflection game till they show up and crush it. Its like a movie remake every year 😃

If they fixed the engine issue from last year while being legal, Ferrari can definitely beat Mercedes with Leclerc. Because last year aerodynamically Ferrari was strong, problem was power...
I don't think so. The engine was not the only critical part of the SF1000 and, due to the chassis freezing, they won't be able to change the car radically (see the nose). Morevore, even if the car were good enough, Binotto has already pointed out they do not intend to develop it during the year in order to invest in the 2022 project. As far as the engine is concerned then, the competitors have improved too, and the real revolutionary engine is going to be put into the car in 2022, not this year.

It was a weird and aggressive launch. The guy at the end made me feel like I was being pressured by a mobster. It was strange.
Nice livery though
I'm a tifoso through and through so I'm biased. But if SF1000 that many of you dubbed the tractor could finish on the podium last year, then with improvements this year if the car indeed is faster, then a shot at the victory isn't completely off the table once RBR and Mercs screw themselves again which very likely can happen.

Ehm Well if you had a brain you would realise the team is Italian so...
Mercedes is sandbagging as usual. They will hide their strengths during testing, and have the fastest car as usual during the season. If a constructor wins the title before the last race, don't expect them to go all out, they have nothing to prove anymore.
The car launches tell us less and less each year. They’ve become almost meaningless. Only once testing is over will we see the real versions fo the cars anyhow.
Even in terms of the liveries.
The mission winnow logo will be removed come race 1 for example

@2:10. This is why Ferrari and LEC won't be competitive. In the Schumacher era, Michael gave direct feedback based on what HE wanted the car to feel like and they built and avenue of feeling around Michael and allowed him to gain confidence in the car and suit his driving style. Charles is too naive and Ferrari too oppressive to allow this to happen. As well as the rules being too stringent to allow it to grow. Italians have flair. Germans and English have an ability to work within set boundaries. This is why nothing will change in F1 this season.

I honestly am beginning to think Mercedes biggest competition could be from itself. Aston Martin and McLaren are right there. Red Bull is a hope, but the last few years it never seems to be quite what they thought... Ferrari has to be a question mark until the first race. I still think Lewis will retire at the end of 21... but I think now I need to qualify it.... If he wins the championship.

Craig presented the Ferrari better than Ferrari itself, in English, a language that anyone in the world understands contrary to the chosen language by the Italian team.

It looks like an evolution of the 2019 car that nose really irritates me. Ferrari really haven't had any innovation on the aerodynamics front since 2018. If it wasn't for their ( illegal) engine, 2019 would of been just as bad as last year.

I wonder it is a requirement from the FIA, that the halo must be clearly distinguishable from the rest of the car, in case of an accident, so the marshals and fire fighters can help the driver as quickly as possible... I dunno. Haven't checked out the other cars yet.
@@mikaelbiilmann6826 Doubt it. Ferrari used to have a red halo, and aston martin this year has a green color identical to the rest of the livery. And I think Red Bull has same shade of black as rest of the main color scheme.
