How to make a proper osiris:part of its effect says that it hits the graveyard the moment the duel begins xD(joke about how I actually did that because I made that customcard really weird because I wanted it to be a reference to the last duel of GX)
I always thought that exodia was like the combined version of the wicked gods kind of like the creator God for the Egyptian gods because of their similar effects
To add my part to it, I have an own theory about Exodd. I believe Exodd may be the fossilized physical body of Exodia, which was left behind by sealing away Exodia´s soul, which actually made him that overwhelmingly powerful. Could explain why Exodd has 0 Atk, and is an Earth/Rock type monster. Also could explain why he has nothing to do with Exodia´s actual plays, as the body just has vague memories left, from the time it was once flesh.
Well but that leaves open where Exodia Necross is from. The fact that its most likely a Zombie shows that the body is taken. I think Exxod was just some shitty protection statue people build to scare Jerks away. He looks like Exodia so they won't attack.
That could also be very true. It just being a statue would also explain everything about Exodd, with the 0 Atk and everything. Though I really wonder why it has the powers it has, with the face-down conversion and stuff.
Exodia holds a special place in my heart, he's the reason why I started playing Yugioh all those years ago. I had never even seen Yugioh, I didn't even know what it was. One day while flipping through the TV channels I landed on yugioh and started watching it. The episode was when Kaiba duels his father and right then he summoned Exodia Necros. I was in awe, never had a seen a monster who looked so badass and cool. I picked up the phone and called my friend and asked him is he played a card game called "You Guy Oh" I didn't even know how to pronounce it haha. He told me yes and gave me my first starter deck and the rest is history. But I had been playing for a while at this point but never bought any packs of cards. I was just using ebay and card stores to buy what I wanted. A virgin to opening packs, my very first pack I opened I pulled Exodia Necros from it. As a kid, this was the highlight of my life. It's wasn't until later on I realized just how bad the card was in comparison to the win now strategy. But it sealed into my brain forever just how much I loved this game. All of that is gone now, I'm in my mid 30's and my cards are gone. But I have two little kids and one day I hope to show them the magic that is playing children's card games... And maybe then I'll discover what Pot of Greed actually does.
I remember playing Eternal Duelist Soul on the GBA and in a fight against Rare Hunter he was able to summon Exodia on his first turn. That’s like a 1 in 625,000 chance. I should have been in Vegas
I still remember being super excited back in the day when I opened up a pack of Dark Crisis and found an Exodia Necros in there. I damn near shit my pants. Unfortunately, no matter how many more DC packs I bought I never found Contract with Exodia. I ended up buying that one online years later.
0:30 I’d have the same reaction to duelling an Exodia deck. The guy probably didn’t even get to play, just watched as his opponent milled his entire deck
@@teguhimamsetiawan3489 Hate those duelists and duels. They're not proving any amount of skill, it just becomes a game of who gets to go first at that point and hopefully you have a card that can interrupt chains.
Exodd sounds a bit like the converted of the powerful "evil" Exodia into a benevolent guardian that accepted a doctrine of passivity similar to some Buddhist monks.
agreed it is unfortunate, but I'll take it cause I get to use him in my rock deck... obviously not tournament viable cause fuck those BS black cards and Link Monsters but... it's unbelievably troll and vile to opponents and having a monster I can swap from an uber shield over to a 4000+ beat stick is always wonderful.
I don't know why, but i get the vibe that Exodd is before Exodia was "corrupted" by power and was the guardian of the order. I little like the Osiris god, it was an order guardian before he was corrupted by the idea of being the king of gods to have all power.
Here's how to honor the anime when you have all give pieces of exodia tell you opponent "my deck has no pathetic cards(insert name of opponent here) but it does contain the unstoppable exodia".
An if you’re opponent wants to honor the anime as well, after you recite Yugi’s lines your opponent can yell in shock and in pain while a massive beam of light overtakes is physical form destroying the entire arena while their cards disintegrate into oblivion.
The funny thing about the Duelist Kingdom rules is that without the threat of direct attacks, you don't have to actually play anything. You can just keep passing your turn until you draw your best beat sticks. Also, the anime actually showed the weakness of having three copies of each Exodia piece. Your chance of drawing an individual piece goes up, but the chance of drawing the five you actually need goes down.
There's a bit of a caveat here. The first season had a rule that you needed a monster on the field. If you couldn't Summon any monsters at all, you lose, effectively a sort of deck out. Plus you could only attack with one monster per turn, normally reserved for the strongest monster in play
Atem: Ooh no!!! The "heart of the cards" is allowing me to gather All Five Pieces of Exodia!!!! Kaiba: HEY!!! You Cheated!! You pulled all of those cards out of your pocket!!! Atem: you can't prove that!!! (Kaiba brings up the camera footage of him pulling the cards at his pocket...) Atem: Weeeellllllll....... Uuuuhhhhh...... EXODIA KICK HIS ASS!!!!! lo zenz well he can also will whatever he draws into whatever he needs according to the lore. Hell in the new movie you literally see it when he summons Mahad

Ruben Garcia When it’s summoned, it’s attack points are determined For every Forbidden Part in the graveyard, Exodios gains 1000 atk points. When it attacks, the owner of the card sends a Forbidden One part to the graveyard (giving it 1000 more points) If all 5 Forbidden cards end up in the graveyard , it’s an automatic win
@@mystery8820 Where is that in the card's text? Also if all the pieces are in the grave...how are you supposed to summon Exodua incarnate plus; if exodias' sent the exodia pieces in the grave, the game ends at that moment
I’d see Necross as the neutral ironically enough- due to it being an undead parody of Exodia who gains power from its dead self and gets stronger with each turn and is as typically seen as invincible as a card. Then there’s Exodus- the neutral, who power isn’t inherently bad because it gains power from others in addition to its self and gets the bonus of instant win as a final flip off to your opponent and Exodia the Legendary is good, sacrificing its power in order to help its player win.
I remember one time, i was facing against a cpu and i managed to get ultimate forbidden lord to over 30,000 attack. And let me tell you something. NOTHING is more satisfying than absolutely demolishing youre opponent with 5 digit damage and watch their life points drop like flies. The only thing that comes close is stalling with legendary fiend.
I had a certain yugioh DVD that was a more faithful dub of the Japanese versions episodes 1,2 and 3. In this he says in English "Hellfires rage, exodo flame". Also more importantly tristin had his later voice! I'll have go find that DVD
I feel like Exxod might be a statue made to resemble Exodia, and functions as a symbol of bravery and honor to the people of the guard (whoever they may be) seeing as how Exxod is an Earth/Rock monster instead of a Dark/Spellcaster monster.
Exodius is actually a hidden ace in my Darklord deck. With it, I can utilize rank 10 xyz plays, and climb into the seven deadly sins, or if I'm desperate and in a bad spot, it's great tribute fodder for Morningstar.
2 things: First, I do play Gustav max, as the 2000 points of burn damage makes for a nice finishing move, but with how special summon heavy the game is, I find the seven sins to be more versatile in most occasions. Secondly, I believe you mean Xyz reborn, not Overlay reborn.
Kind of. Xyz reborn revives an Xyz monster from the graveyard, and then attatches itself to that monster as xyz material. However, I've built several xyz decks, and have never heard of a card called Overlay reborn.
Yugioh sucks now, they changed the whole game and they make new cards that are op just so they cam ban them a year later after everyone has bought those cards.
when i played with toys with my other firends back in the good old days (nohomo) we always played because of black exodia, with red exoida, yellow exodia, white exodia (wich i imagine to be dope as fuck)....ahh the good old days, where we also played yugioh and the duell where awesome, and not 1 turn=1hour and 3 turns= game ends if not in the first after hours of sumonnings
Theory on Obelisk similarities: Obelisk is an Exxod, master of the guard soldier (see below) that has gained sentience and being an awakened soldier that has no limit on time awake, gains defense of exxod as attack as well, or likewise a stronger incorporeal God, Obelisk, called such for his capacity to manipulate stone structures, has possessed an Exxod, seeing it as the ultimate form he could take, but the capacity of the stone still being 4000 points. Just theory, please don't criticize too harshly.
Exodia exists in the Dungeon Dice Monsters game as well. The limbs are all level 3 & the head is level 4. You have to get all 5 pieces on the board with the head being the last piece inorder to get the auto win
What's interesting to me is that in the *German* dub of the Anime and in the general jargon used by players "Exodia" is actually perceived as female, with the anime making it canon, when she is summoned as an "ancient protectress of Egypt" in the Battle against Zorc. In part this is due to the name having a female ring to it (like Claudia, Rebecca, Christina) but I really like the idea of her being a sort of motherly figure to all other monsters, almost having a "Divine Hierarchy level" of her own - technically being able to defeat even the Divine Beasts, by outright winning the duel directly.
I like to think of Exodia Incarnate as having the same unstoppable power as the insta-win version, but since he's not sealed, he's playing with his food so to speak. Think about it: when you assemble all the pieces, he gets freed from being split into pieces and sealed away, so I would think he'd be PISSED and want to immediately obliterate the first thing he sees. But as Incarnate, he's a lot more chill, he's taking it easy and slowly building up to his full power at his own pace
I like to look at Exxod as proto-Exodia, head of the guard for all the divine/pharaoh stuff way before even Atem was born. Eventually gifted power that made him as strong as he was, prompting the panic sealing.
Good job! I had no idea what you were talking about most of the time (having only watched the original anime back when it was airing). Im mostly an mtg player but was interested in what you had to say; you have a good way of explaining clearly, good job 👌🏼

@@adrianrenteria4229 If I remember right those cards were marked, which would've made them unplayable.
Exxod is the final peaceful version of it. Exodia is the normal darker version, with ultamite win conditions and a grin that shows a lust for death, while Exxod is the pure version. It has made peace with the Sphinx's who have purified him from his dark side
This is a most fitting explanation
I don’t think that’s true, the grin I believe is his thanks for being unsealed
I honestly think it's the reverse. Exxod is Exodia before he became too powerful and had to be sealed.
I started teaching my mom Yugioh the other day (she used to watch me and my brother play it and always wanted to learn) by only teaching her stuff from the duel monsters era, which she understood pretty well, so I'm gonna slowly introduce her the new summoning mechanics one at a time ^^ As you said, I think teaching new players slowly every summoning mechanic one at a time is best :)
Bruh, late comment I know. But my mom loves forbidden memories. And I have recently itroduced her to duel links

Kaiba: Pharaoh!!!
3:47- Exodia being closer to the Osiris Mythos than the card actually named after him is irony at its finest.
I agree, its very ironic.
Isn't it just?😂😂
And both cards were owned by yugi... Pretty nice coincidence
I always found it weird that Slifer was named Saint Dragon of Osiris when in fact he much more closely resembles the dragon Apep.
How to make a proper osiris:part of its effect says that it hits the graveyard the moment the duel begins xD(joke about how I actually did that because I made that customcard really weird because I wanted it to be a reference to the last duel of GX)
Tbh I always thought Exodia was the unofficial 4th God monster
Kinda like how Arcanine was an unofficial legendary Pokemon?
As did I when I was younger
forbidden one aka forbidden god? Is how I always saw it
Exodia is the unofficial first god monster. Check yo self
I always thought that exodia was like the combined version of the wicked gods kind of like the creator God for the Egyptian gods because of their similar effects
Spell binding circle actually kinda makes sense lore wise
To add my part to it, I have an own theory about Exodd.
I believe Exodd may be the fossilized physical body of Exodia, which was left behind by sealing away Exodia´s soul, which actually made him that overwhelmingly powerful.
Could explain why Exodd has 0 Atk, and is an Earth/Rock type monster.
Also could explain why he has nothing to do with Exodia´s actual plays, as the body just has vague memories left, from the time it was once flesh.
That's deep Bob. That just makes so much sense.
Thank you, though I really just wanted to share a theoretical rant.

Here's how to honor the anime when you have all give pieces of exodia tell you opponent "my deck has no pathetic cards(insert name of opponent here) but it does contain the unstoppable exodia".
I just recite Yugi's lines word for word.

Exxod is jus the statue outside exodia tomb
I feel like Exxod might be a statue made to resemble Exodia, and functions as a symbol of bravery and honor to the people of the guard (whoever they may be) seeing as how Exxod is an Earth/Rock monster instead of a Dark/Spellcaster monster.
Exodius is actually a hidden ace in my Darklord deck. With it, I can utilize rank 10 xyz plays, and climb into the seven deadly sins, or if I'm desperate and in a bad spot, it's great tribute fodder for Morningstar.
or, if you have it, SuperRailDreadnought Cannon Gustav Max, just detach 1 to deal 2k, very OP if you play overlay reborn
2 things: First, I do play Gustav max, as the 2000 points of burn damage makes for a nice finishing move, but with how special summon heavy the game is, I find the seven sins to be more versatile in most occasions. Secondly, I believe you mean Xyz reborn, not Overlay reborn.
does xyz reborn re-attach the units?

Jorge Jugar Nah, Obelisk is the Pharaohs (Exodia) dungeon keeper/prison guard
Exodia exists in the Dungeon Dice Monsters game as well. The limbs are all level 3 & the head is level 4. You have to get all 5 pieces on the board with the head being the last piece inorder to get the auto win
Exodia has always been my favorite part of y-gi-oh, I love that design so much.
Kaiba:Hah How can you summon Exodia.
Atem:Kaiba if you really wish to know, then talk to the hand.
AAHHHHHH EXODIA!!! ITS NOT POSSIBLE,NO ONE'S EVER BEEN ABLE TO SUMMON HIM!!!
Except for that one time.
AAHHHH EXPLODIA!!! NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO OUTRUN HIM!!!
In my opinion. Exodd was made as a guardian statue for exodia. Like how Christians make statues of jesus or something to pray to.
