- In this video, Dr. Ross Hauser discusses cervical radiculopathy and lumbar radiculopathy, and how many cases diagnosed as "radiculopathy" are actually "pseudo radiculopathy" and best treated with comprehensive Prolotherapy. In addition, how the staff at Caring Medical can help potential patients understand if they are a good candidate for Prolotherapy for neck pain, back pain, and/or radiculopathy. If you have chronic neck or back pain and are looking for a treatment alternative to surgery and spinal fusion, we are happy to see you for a Prolotherapy treatment evaluation, please visit: www.caringmedi...

You're funny 😄 😆 🤣.
Great video, one of the few Doctors that really know how cervical radiculopathy feels like, I had the same symtoms, my neck was exactly as Dr. Hauser described.
You get spine fused you feel good 😊
I’ve been dealing with this mess for almost six months now. Had an X-ray done in May which revealed disk space narrowing at c4-5 and c5-6. In June, I was diagnosed with cervical degenerative disk disease. Still doing physical therapy, done with the chiropractic treatment. MRI scheduled for Monday to see if I have herniated disks, bone spurs, stenosis or other degeneration.
are you doing any better
Very informative and
cleared up the possible
guess my Primary Physician gave me for
neurological problems I was having!! She referred me to Neurological Surgeon!
They might be able to
analyze my MRI and give me a better diagnosis!!
Thank you for posting this very helpful information! I was not looking forward to any kinds of Surgery,!!!
these nerve studies hurt like hell...
I know I've had 3 of them before.they said I needed a reverse shoulder replacement ulner nerve and corporal tunnel surgery and a neck fusion but my surgeons said I needed all 3 . Ended up on social security disability.try nerve blocks and radiofrequency 1 time only .the mayo clinic pain clinic doctor told me those nerve blocks cause scar tissue damage after 128 neck injections and 128 back injections its destroy me
The less numbness the more pain.
Yep. EMGs aren’t fun
Oh wow
No way
No more pain
My pain is mentally fatiguing besides physically wears me out

I had an MRI that confirmed I have cervical radiculopathy. My hands hurt when I am on the computer or texting on my phone. I have been doing physical therapy since April 2021, but the pain is still there when I do the before mentioned activities. I am worried that if I keep doing these tasks, my symptoms will increase and not sure what direction to take.
Thank you!
How do you feel now?
If you still have it
Try for kathi basti (Ayurvedic treatment)

You are so welcome - thank you for being a viewer!
Doctor's don't listen when I go to them for this. I do it everytime I do a push up. I am basically disabled. The pain is horrendous and the urgent care won't give you anything.
The same thing happens to me can’t do push ups or chest presses anymore because my neck tightens up for days with excruciating pain plus headaches and dizziness it’s horrible, have you figured out anything that helps?
I had this problem for 16 months now, but the pain less compared to what has been before. I had an epidural injection in July and after that due some exercises on my neck and the pain now just comes and goes, but it is not so severe as it used to be. I was scheduled for a fusion, but canceled at the last moment.
Hi @natalia6381 how do feel now? After almost 2 years?
@@NamanSeth1 I still have pins and needles in my arms and my hands get numb when I am stressed.
@jerryjaxson8637 I don’t carry anything. I don’t sit in front of the PC anymore. I wear a neck brace.
@@natalia6381sounds horrible
After 2 years I'm feel about 80%better. I've had 2 epidurals and 3x a week PT. I would never have neck fusion surgery unless it was absolutely necessary.
Do you recommend seeing a chiropractor? I lost a lot of strength in my shoulders/arms and have tingly and hot/cold nerve sensations from my shoulders to fingertips. Chiropractor made these nerve sensations worse and my ortho doctor thinks I need physical therapy. I haven't been able to lift my arms well for the past 8 months I feel like I'm going crazy no one believes me. I can barely feed myself without assistance...
Hi Claire Lee, We're so sorry to hear about your nerve pain and tingly sensations, and that you're losing function of your arm- just awful! We do encourage you to seek care somewhere to not let this nerve damage continue. Perhaps trying your doctor's recommendation would be a good start. Not all chiropractors practice the same way, just like any doctor, and sometimes too aggressive of high velocity adjustments can worsen symptoms, as you're describing. We understand completely what you're saying. This is why we find it important to have a chiropractor who can assess the level of instability and tailor the level of adjustments very carefully so as to not further stretch or damage already weakened ligaments. Our patients will often receive a mild chiropractic adjustment right before Prolotherapy, so we do like the combination approach of getting the alignment as good as we can prior to Prolotherapy, as appropriate for the patient's case. If you would like our team to review your case in more detail and see if you sound like a good candidate for our testing and treatment center, please feel free to reach out. We wish you all the best in health and navigating the treatment option that will address the underlying reason why you are having these symptoms and help you to resolve them so you can get on with your life! Take good care.
Can you recommend any doctors in Rhode Island?
needs your actual demo exercises..
I was diagnosed with Lumbar Radiculopathy and did epidural non invasive surgery. After the surgery, I had a very bad neck pain and the pain radiates going to my arm and hands. I had an xray with my neck and my doctor said my neck seems to have caused me pain from bad posture. I don't know if I have cervical radiculopathy as well due to how the symptoms are also related to what I am feeling right now. It's been 5 months of lumbar pain and neck pain goes on and off.
Do. Give pain patches
Whilst my pain has reduced after 6 weeks of on-going issues, I still have little feeling in my middle/index finger, however my biggest issue is currently the lack of contraction my muscle can perform on my left side? Is this typical for radiculopathy?
What muscle? All of them?
Typical
Should see a neuro

We cannot make referrals to other providers - especially if we have not yet seen the patient and have conducted our own testing. We can recommend that you do some research and find a Prolotherapy provider who specializes in your area of concern. If you find that you are able to travel to FL, we would love to get you in for a consult. Wishing all the best in your healing!
I do not have arm pain nor tingleness. But my right neck and upper back pain whenever i use my right arm on the computer, since 1 year. MRI says c3-c7 bulged and t1 herniated. When i sleep on high pillow, i get Occipital Pain. Is it Cervical radiculopathy?
Why would it hurt in the hand but not in the neck?
Nerves extends to the arm
Wow
But what is prolotherapy? Obv a trademarked methodology but what are u doing? Just chiropractic adjusting? Use of a machine? Massage technique?
Great question!
Prolotherapy is a regenerative medicine technique used to treat joint pain and instability by repairing damaged and weakened ligaments and tendons. Dr. Hauser recently made a video about this 😊

We have a lot of resources on our website if you’d like to further your research www.caringmedical.com
I hope this helps!

I’m terrified of more pain as my pain is so bad and unrelieved now. I couldn’t bear anymore. My reserves are all drained.
I suppose I have intermittent, nevertheless my MRI reads Moderate right and severe left foraminal stenosis from uncovertebral spurring ...
Is prolotherapy something I should speak to my neurologist about ?
Neurologist doesn’t do prolotherapy lol
emg vs mri,mri cervical said no pinch nerve ,would i still need an emg, dont want one, surgeon said no tumor,so i guess i just do physical therapy and/or accupuncture?mri said c6-c7 mild stenosis, both hands sandpaper/vinal ,slooooooooolwy getting better bit not fast enough, not sure whats going on,no diabetes.also my lumbar pain 24/7 L5S1,thinking maybe compress nerve in lumbar need mri lumbar in midback too- who knows so frustrating,THANK YOU for your knowledge and video
Hi Reesa, Thanks for reaching out. Prolotherapy is a way to accelerate the healing. It is more comprehensive than PT and acupuncture, though those treatments have merit in appropriate cases. We'd love to help you be less frustrated and overcome your pain. If you would like us to review your case and schedule you to see a specialist, we'd be happy to help you. Please email us directly to discuss your medical case privately: info@caringmedical.com. Look forward to helping you soon. All the best to you!
Thank you

I am currently being treated for Cervical Radiculopathy at your Ft Myers location. I stared treatments last November, had 3 so far, usually around the middle of the month. What should a patient expect this far in to prolo treatments for this injury? Or what should I be expecting so far? I'm not where I want to be,( I am following a diet, exercise, and supplement plan perfectly.) I am impatient also, but are my hopes possibly too high? Curious because he and I suffer the same affliction, and reading about Dr Hauser brought me to caring Medical. Thanks!
Hi JVH5151, Good question. Thanks for the explanation of your current status. Let's look closer into your case and discuss your current symptoms, severity, progress, etc... The average number of treatments someone needs is 3-6, and that depends on different factors. Like you mentioned that you're following a healthy diet and exercise plan, and taking supplements, etc.. those are part of the puzzle. But we can look a little closer at the treatment too and see if there is anything additional that can be recommended to get you where you want to be. Do you want to email us directly so we can look at your case and talk privately over the phone or email? drhauser@caringmedical.com or call the office at 708-848-7789.

I have had pain for 4 months now. Went to Nucca Chiro - regular Chiro - physio and nothing. Went to a neurologist and said occipital neuralgia most likely. Gave a nerve shot/freeze but did nothing. Also put me on meds. Upper neck c2 pain causing headaches around the ear and jaw but not all the time. Very frustrating. Would prolotherapy help? Nothing is working.
Just on the left side. At the base on the skull I put my thumb to apply pressure and it feels better - it relieves it momentarily. It feels like the upper cervical is unstable but none of the typical things you would do like Chiro work
Hi Matt, Sorry to hear you've been dealing with this for the past 4 months. It is an absolutely awful pain and we understand how frustrating it is. Glad you tried some other more conservative methods first to see if that would have an effect. Sounds like looking into Prolotherapy would be an appropriate next step. We'd be happy to review your case in more detail and talk with you directly. We have a very detailed case intake form to really understand your symptoms as well as overall health and functional and athletic goals: www.caringmedical.com/neck-patient-candidate-form/
Wish you all the very best in healing so you can get on with your life. Take care, Matt.
Same symptoms have you done any successful treatments?
Where can I look up certified prolotherapy in my area? Is there a website to search for certified prolotherapy Dr?
Hi Mo Mo, You could try getprolo.com or a general internet search and email/call the office to ask about how they approach cases like yours if it is not clear from their site. Ultimately, with any/all medical treatments (not just Prolotherapy), you would want to know that they feel you'd be a good fit for their clinic and if they've treated cases similar to yours. No 2 cases are exactly alike, of course. But having a general knowledge of any doctor's office and what types of cases they see and how they treat conditions is good to know. Wish you all the best in health!
I think I have cervical radiculopathy
Sorry to hear that NOUM, and feel free to reach out to us directly if you would like our opinion on your case. We'd love to help you get rid of your radiating pain. Wish you all the best in your search for an optimal treatment.
I had an MRI & was found to have 7 bone spurs in my neck. I'm in constant pain. Steroids worked but doctor did not want to keep me on them. What do you suggest?
