Just a helpful tip if you ever have to beat on a castle nut like you did on the outer tie rod flip the nut over so the “castle “ part is down bc sometimes if you hit it like you did it’ll bend the castle part and mess up the nut and threads
I raised mine the same way but I also did 3 inch pylon blocks in the bed and the cab. I have SMV shocks as well. My tool box is the Trail Boss tool box black.
I just put this lift on my 96 obs and I added 1.5 inch add a leafs in the rear with the blocks. Only problem I’m having is I need long body upper control arms to align it properly cause there is an issue with the stock ones.
Please leave it like it is don’t put them rear blocks in! Also I hope your gonna get some spacers for the rear so them wheels are even and lined up! Tires you should get are some mud grapplers
Very good content! AND you also have a very good understanding of mechanics. BTW, you stated early on that "you are old". You are not old, you have your entire life ahead of you if you play your cards right! I am old at 63. LoL. Your vid = A+
So far" you and I seem to be the only ones left with a 1999 C/K 1500 Chevrolet pick up 4x4 5.7 350 Z71 same color too. Sunset Gold metallic. I can't find another one anywhere. Nice truck dude.
I just bought a 4” lift kit but only having the mechanic lift the front, hoping I can clear 33x12.50 in the rear without rubbing at stock height in the back
Hopefully I can help some comment folks. You don’t need extended brake lines you just need to loosen a brake line holding bracket which gives you that extra brake line but you could benefit from extending brake lines. Another mention is he does not mention how to actually remove the front shock I removed my driver side with a vice grip and a wrench on the right side I didn’t even try to remove the shock and was able to install the spindle no problem.
question for you. I bought the same spindles, haven't received them yet. from the looks of it it looks like the offset has changed with the new lift spindles. In your opinion, did the offset change at all?
So installed these spindles on my 1998 c1500 and put a new front end all the way around and now noone can fix the camber in the alignment. What am I missing?
I love the fact that this video is him literally working on my truck just mines a single cab long bed,I got everything spot on took me a while to find something helpful.I do still have that to issue I took it to get aligned and they couldn’t because my control arms need adjusting but I don’t know how to get that done can anyone tip me on what to mess with?
I have a 2.5 inch level kit on my 02 f150. I have had alot of problems with getting alignments, and wierd noises have started comin from the front end. Should i change to a spindle lift and if so is it difficult to remove a level kit?
@lmfscrew I'm curious how much the 4" lift spindles moved the same wheel and tire combo out? I know you mentioned in a different video installing spacers in the rear to match the front tire track after the spindles moved them out.
@@hightalkswithej89 I just wanted to be able to clear a 33” 10 ply tire, plus with the add a leaf kit and the RAS kit I still sit slightly higher in the back, and the truck tows amazingly. Building a roller cam 350 for it as we speak, and regearing to 4.10s and adding a rear locker.
thank god I thought it was gonna get lowered lol
Ikr!
It’s a 2wd. It makes more sense to lower it. Plus it was lowered before he put the spindle lift on.
Bro same I was so worried
@@0311tard lowered would hurt it
@@pepeiann no it wouldn’t
Do you still have the tractor tires if so put them on when you 6 lug convert it

Lift the rear and get some wheels like Larry used to have the old style with some beefy tires it would look clean as hell man!
I raised mine the same way but I also did 3 inch pylon blocks in the bed and the cab. I have SMV shocks as well. My tool box is the Trail Boss tool box black.
Those new headlights make a huge difference, safer and really freshen the look.
I just put this lift on my 96 obs and I added 1.5 inch add a leafs in the rear with the blocks. Only problem I’m having is I need long body upper control arms to align it properly cause there is an issue with the stock ones.
The OBS would look good with Mickey Thompson bullet holes
I second that
Fuk NO!!
Agreed that's what I have on my truck with 33 inch toyo m/t's
Please leave it like it is don’t put them rear blocks in! Also I hope your gonna get some spacers for the rear so them wheels are even and lined up! Tires you should get are some mud grapplers
What in the Carolina squattin queer shii are you talking about buddy
Chevy blue I love it I just got a c2500 454 from the vintage year of 94 and I'm so excited keep making vids
I’ve been waiting for this 🔥‼️✅

That's pewter metallic and I have a c2500 long bed 5.7 similar to it
I love the way he remembers his torque specs. 🤣 Awesome video bro!
Put the 420s on the obs with some wides wheels
Not to nitpick, but it seems like this would be a perfect time to replace bearings and ball joints since you had it all apart, right?
I thought the same thing. These keyed lifts destroy ball joints.
@@lelenbates3367 there's no keys
Just did the rc spindles on my 98 obs, so far love it! It does scrub since i put some wides with 33s tho
Did u have any problems with the brake line length?
Definitely needs the rear blocks and shackle but love how this build is coming!!! Wish we could find old rust free trucks up here in NH!!
You gotta raise the back end , the front end of tht with the lift is 🔥🔥
I just bought a 4” lift kit but only having the mechanic lift the front, hoping I can clear 33x12.50 in the rear without rubbing at stock height in the back
Hey buddy love the videos I just got a super clean 97 z71 probably the nicest original one in my area
in my opinion the back sits perfect
It's so lit larry and baby squat obs works good with it now
Just did my 6 lug conversion today love how it turned out
Just get a real 4x4 😂
@@jjmccloud got the truck for a hell of a deal

I think Larry’s wheels would look awesome!!!
My RC shocks started to rust in less then 6 months, had to pull them & re coat with paint and wax. Ride is ok.
I’ve never clicked faster
Have the same model, level it up man. Thanks for the vid. I’m looking to do the same.
We need tint now and a whip antenna 🤣💯

It looks so good!! 👍 Lil lean looks good
Very nice. Next one you do can you show the spindles side by side to show the true difference?
He showed them in this video

Something about the 70s and 80s and 90s gmc and chevys ugh really get a guy 😍
@lmfscrew I'm curious how much the 4" lift spindles moved the same wheel and tire combo out? I know you mentioned in a different video installing spacers in the rear to match the front tire track after the spindles moved them out.
Put Larry’s mud grabs on the OBS
He sold those
@lmfscrew would this setup work on a 1990 c 2500 2wd ??
Can you make a video taking the rear blocks off
What size rims are you rubbing Against the spindle ???
what did you do for the brake hoses i got the same kit but hoses are to tight and where did you purchase the new brake hoses
Just did this on my 94. I did control arms rotors tie rodends had to get longer brake lines
Keep it squatted she lookin good
Why didn't you cut out the bump stock on the lower control arm?
Why are there no 4wd lift spindles s9ld separately like this?
Had an 88.. always wanted to lift it. Lowered it instead cause it was 2wd. Now I drove a brand new ram lifted. Get a ram and make it cool bro
Thanks for the video, where did you get the headlights and the ones below ??
are the UCAs for K1500 and C1500 the same?
Yep, looks good but the squat does have to go, what did the kit sit you back and where did you get it. Thanks and congrats.
I have the same truck but a 99 C2500. 8 lug. I can’t find a spindle lift anywhere
I have a quick question brother where do you order your parts from I would love to get the same exact parts what
Love my 6” kit gonna put rear spacers on to help even yo the track width
How was the driving wad hard to see. Did you have to look over a lot ?
Take the wheels off baby squat and put them on the obs for a video
Hell yeah
Would these spindles fit on a 4wd?
1995 Gmc Yukon SLE 4wd?
Hell yeah.... Looks good. Lift the rear & level that baby out👍
We’re you able to run stock brake lines
Do you have the link for the lift i want to lift my truck ive got a 98 5.0 silverado 2wd it should work rite ??
11/8s 👌 😆 trucks looking good bro 😎👍
Looks badass bro
Would this be the same process for 6inch spindles ??
Did you have to get different control arms bc of the camber and caster angles
should do some 22x14s on some 33x13.5 420s or somethin like that
So you didn't put a jack under the lower a arm to support before pulling spindle out?
What’s a “carter pin” or an 11/8 on the big boy? 😂 asking for a friend….
Keep it squatted and put the wides on it
Say I did a 6in rc spindle lift and my bearings didn’t fit the spindle did you run into that problem ?
Carter pins or cotter pins?
Cotter pin
Don't be afraid to go full Carolina mode on the OBS. We won't be ashamed. It would make for an interesting build for the channel
would these spindles do the trick to level the silverado 2 wd?
do you have to put spacers on it after on the front of you have the 15x7s? anwser would be very appreciated
I wanna see some of the new Walmart 24x14s on it
You know what full Carolina mode this truck , bc honestly leaning a square body looks really good
Do you have the link to the lift kit? I've looked for it and have not been able to find it
Did you have any camber issues on the front? My camber lobes are maxed out and I don’t know how to fix it
Don’t raise it leave it 🤩🤩
Hey bro would this kit work for 2500 same year?
Definitely get the back up nice job
Have you had any issues with the stock brake line to caliper or the abs sensor wire...?
When you're swapping the spindles don't u gotta have a Jack under the Lower control arms so coils don't come out or no?
Really excited for this one
I’m having problems I installed the kit , but now I’m having problems with my breaks . I did bleed them .. but I lose pressure when I turn . Any ideas
Id check to see if maybe the lines got damaged when installing. Get someone to mash the brakes while you're under it looking and listening
@@lmfscrew the lines are good.master new.but one thing that not sure if it’s ok . When I press the break the master Cylinder starts to bubble any idea
What size wheels are on that truck? 16”? I’ve heard that these spindles won’t work with 15” wheels. Have you tried a 15” wheel on it?
Those are stock 15s.
Lookin like a certified bubba truck 😂😎
What did you do for the brake lines?
Anyone know if this lift would work on 97 c2500 idk if the spindles are the same
Did you do a ball joint flip?
Love the obs btw I have a 2door regular cab
So the kit says it won’t fit 4x4 does it matter or not?
I did this lift on my c1500 about 6 months ago, and the alignment was nearly indentical after install, it was so bad 😂 got it pretty straight though
Did you get a cnotch
@@hightalkswithej89 I did not, not doing high speed off-road stuff so I wasn’t worried about adding suspension travel
