Did you use the same parts that they use in this video. Front rotors from O'Reilly and spacers from amazon. Can i re-use my bearings on the new rotors? . Let me know. Thanks
Thank you for the informative video! I was gonna go with wheels for the 5 lug bolt pattern, but now I have more options for wheels with the 6 lug bolt pattern!
If you get a suburban rear end then the drums will be bigger which will give you more stopping power, have a buddy who did a straight 5 lug swap and his truck stops instantly... It's insane
Hey brother just wanted to tell you thank you for your video you give excellent detail on video as well. Your friend and new subscriber from Austin Texas.
Great video and you are telling the truth. I have always had 5 lug tundra 07 and up with the rare 5 by 1.50 pattern and I'm running 2 inch spacers to change lug pattern to 6 by 135 Ford for my OFFROAD RBP wheels and even more my wheel offset is negative 44. It's got a stance so wide I had to shave front bumper edges and wheel well etc
My 99 Yukon 2wd comes 5x5 lug standard. It's pretty annoying trying to find rims. 5 lug universals don't fit neither. So I'm going the same route as you. I'll keep you posted on how it works for me by the 24th when the parts come in. Putting 22" rims on.
@@crockettsummers42 Q: Will 2018 JK Sahara Unlimited wheels with 18 x 7.5 by 5 x 5.5 lug bolt pattern work on a 1998 Silverado ext.cab 2wd? I'm looking at getting this truck and have these wheels and what you just stated just hit me 💡
@@crockettsummers42 Obviously, the rear end will have to have spacers but I can get rough country 5 on 5.5 - 2 inch spacers and the offset should be about the same as what was done in this video and the front hubs should be able to be the same 5 on 5 and with a spacer converted to 5 on 5.5 for the JK wheels? Correct me if I'm wrong please?
I dug up this old video to see what adapters you used on the rear and Amazon link didn't work. Can you help me out? I'm getting ready to 6 lug swap mine. I have a lifted 2wd like this.
Wanting to do this on my wife's 99 burb. For the rear axle I will get the axle from a NBS suburban. That way it will have 4 wheel disc brakes. Then it's getting a 6.2diesel and a th400. Was in junkyard today. Saw a 2500 van with the 6lug rotors. Of course the gears in my head started turning
Be careful with van versus truck..pretty sure the 6 lug vans were mainly like 03 up chevy express/ possibly astro van as well as gmc counterparts. These vans would have hub assembles not older style rotor/bearing setup. Parts won't work if that's the case. 99 burb is older gm platform
You know buddy. I think to complete your collection. A nice square body chevy an a brick nose ford would be awesome. I mean i am not a expert on nice fleets or anything haha. But hell these trucks is beautiful man glad i subed
Hey where are you got to do is put the six lug axles out of wheel drive rear end right into your 5 lug axle 2wd rear end no problem you just have to use the six lug brake Hub too or take your 5 lug axles and hubs to a machine shop and let them drill and tap it to a 6 lug chevy, I did that on a 9-inch rear end for $80
I went to your oreilly link and it said wont fit my vehicle which is 93 C1500 Suburban vin with K but i also know oreilly parts can say that and be wrong. This is why im wondering if you know if can do this or not? Thanks
Only thing i would do different is get hub centric and ditch the tractor tires i recommended venum wheel accessories they have all sorts of truck stuff and conversion stuff even 10 lug conversions

So.... issue im running into is the 20 inch wheels i have wont fit on the rotors. I got the rotors and bought the wheels off a buddy. Tonight i wanted to make sure the rotors would fit the wheels and the center hole on the wheels are too small for the rotor to fit flush against the wheel. The wheels came off a 2005 gmc yukon denali so i figured theyd work. And if i do spacers i dont think theirs gonna be much thread holding the wheels on. Any ideas?
I'm having the same problem I've got a 1995 all-wheel drive Astro van that's five lug that I was wanting to trade my six lug wheels from my 03 Astro van

I had titan 2” spacers on my bronco. Lots of crazy offroad driving, left the ground a few times even and I never had an issue with them. I loved them

lol "Earl" nice. named my 90 k1500 single cab short bed "Buford." was my dads and it got passed to me.

LOL, Larry is so dang wide and Earl is so narrow, it’s funny!
The 4wd rear is wider, so that would help you push the wheels out in the back.
