@@jomisa999 Olympia School District rank's high and I would suggest living in Lacey, Wa. Lot's of nice newer built homes near the Hawks Prairy Golf Course.
I grew up here in Olympia and went back to visit recently, the homeless and drug problems have gotten WAY out of hand. I took my kids to Burfoot park while we were there and came across two meth needles. Downtown was disgusting as well.
Oly is my heart's home though I was born in Tacoma. I love Oly the best of anyplace in the US. I've been through almost every state in the US,but none are home to me.
Living in Oympia is wonderful. Live in a nice area, nice home & next to the mall. Climate great all year round in Olympia. Last winter was a two day snow fall. Country culture. You find fault in Olympia, then you'll find fault anywhere & that will be your fault!
From downtown to downtown it's a little over an hour, (an hour to an hour and a half depending on traffic). And from downtown to the airport it's between 45 minutes and an hour, depending on traffic. 🙂
in normal traffic - which is really heavy on I5, especially going past the US military base, it takes about 90 minutes. spend a couple days checking the normal commute times for an average. 60 minutes to the airport, 90 to downtown - or a 3 hour daily (very long) commute.

And I found your video presentation to be helpful.
@@davidwysocki1004 Excellent! Let me know if you have any questions I can answer for you.
Hi! I would like to know to know more about schools in Olympia? For Elementary and intermediate Schools specifically.
Glad I was able to afford to purchase back in 2016 near the Golf Course ..........now it's just unaffordable!!@@livelovelacey

Gotta second this. I think 10 years ago Olympia was great, but now a days I don’t even feel safe living here.
Downtown is nothing compared to even 5 years ago lol. Some good food tho!
@@fookum_I was there over five years ago and it wasn’t great. It’s a shane because the city itself is so nice.

I've lived in several states and lots of different cities and agree....it's definitely home. What's your favorite thing to do in Oly?
@@livelovelacey Well,I think it was to hang out with my friends at King Sol's coffee shop.
I'm land locked in Phoenix,AZ now though,..sadly. XD

How long does it take to drive to Seattle from Olympia?
From downtown to downtown it's a little over an hour, (an hour to an hour and a half depending on traffic). And from downtown to the airport it's between 45 minutes and an hour, depending on traffic. 🙂
It's approximately 63 miles.

How much rent for 1 one bedroom or studio
I would say it's about $1,600+/month is an average.
10 min up the road
being single is ok in oly old town is great
just do not cruse down Friday night Saturday night cops will pull you over 11pm-2am
I would say Lacey is nicer than Olympia!!
I love lacey too! Do you have a favorite restaurant in Lacey?
Dear how could you IGNORE the scourge of homeless that Olympia is unwilling to fix? Could we perhaps have a bit more honesty
how could you IGNORE that she sells real estate in olympia?
It rains 9 months of the year in Olympia. If you like Leftist politics and the failure that always accompanies it, this is the place for you!
At least no state income tax like Oregon. I would literally be making 2K more a month if I moved 2 hours North.
