      @@martinemesguitar I try ! But to be honest it's hard for me to find enough time between my day job, personal life and the chan. I wish I could make some new recordings of my best demo tracks (some of them would be improved) and make an album I could release on streaming platforms, and I will try to do it in 2023.

      A good friend of mine also has a 90’s Gio and he’s still happy with it. I don’t know if the current models could last for 30 years and I think I’m not gonna try and check it out !

    Hello!! I only found out about your channel yesterday, and it was with the video of the LTD mh-10, and I must say that although that guitar sounds better than this Ibanez gio, I think that with the Ibanez you played the demo track better.
    By the way, what a great track the demo track is, I loved it!!

      Thanks ! I didn't realize my playing was better on the Ibanez than on the LTD, and that's a surprise for me cos' I have made the review of the LTD after the Ibanez, so I knew the track better. But maybe I have paid less attention. Happy that you enjoyed this track anyway ;)

    Hey Torok
    Cool video 👍
    I looked at the GIO series on thomann, they even come with a trem, nice guitar for beginners. They all cost around 200 euros.

    • @ToroKchannel
      @ToroKchannel  Год назад +1

      Hi Yetimatze ! I don't know how good the trem is on those GIO, I admit I didn't dare trying :) For beginners, it's a good choice indeed.

    welcome back! great review as usual - very informative. i had this guitar on my list for some time but a printed top is a no go for me. it looks nice though.
    are you also going to review the kernom ridge pedal? i haven't seen a good & informative review of it yet. the reviews i found aren't as informative & well thought out as yours usually are.

      Thanks Maggie. I didn't have an answer from Kernom so I will try and contact them again. I think this OD is interesting and I wish I could make a review about it but that will be in 2023.

    Ma première guitare il y a 13 ans était une gio GRG170dx
    À ton avis les gio et les harley benton sont elles potables pour de la scène et pour un niveau avancé?! J ai la flemme de mettre plus de 600€ dans une autre guitare...

    • @ToroKchannel
      @ToroKchannel  Год назад

      Pour moi la GIO n'est pas assez bonne pour une utilisation avancée / scène : composants de qualité douteuse, stabilité d'accordage insuffisante pour faire un set complet . Par contre, une RGA 42 ou une RG 421 ferait le job sans souci. Chez Harley Benton tu trouveras ton bonheur dans les grattes assemblées en indonésie (donc les SC custom, SC 550 / 550 plus et bien sûr les Fusion / Amarok). Tu t'en tireras à largement moins de 600€, avec un instrument très sympa à jouer et fiable. Si tu veux un profil Ibanez chez Benton, tu peux tenter le R-446. Elle a un peu le même manche que l'Ibanez Wizard III et quoi que n'étant pas made in Indonesia, elle m'a vraiment fait une excellente impression.

    Hello sir, I am a guitarist with skill level between begginer and intermediate. I am thinking of buying this guitar to play lead guitar and it fits my budget. Do you think it will be good for lead?

    • @ToroKchannel
      @ToroKchannel  6 месяцев назад

      It would be fine for leads cos the playability is pretty good, the pickups would pierce through any mix easily so it’s a good choice.

  • @echoesreflected8243
    @echoesreflected8243 Год назад +1

    I think it would be cool to revisit the SubZero guitars, they have released a few models since you uploaded that video about the cheap superstrat

    • @ToroKchannel
      @ToroKchannel  Год назад +1

      I can't see any new model on the metal side. The Generation were already there and I chose the Gen pro. I'm still interested in the Paradigm and I could go there. Under the Brand Gear4music, they also make the Harlem series and I could try one as well. After the Brig Brand Small Price series, I'm gonna go for a Distributor Brand series, that will be a good moment for reviewing at least one of these 2. And maybe they will release new models in earley 2023.

    • @echoesreflected8243
      @echoesreflected8243 Год назад +1

      @@ToroKchannel I owned a Gear4Music Harlem 6 and it was the biggest piece of shit I have ever played. The pickups were terrible (actually, the neck one was broken), the bridge was horribly installed and it did not sit properly on the body and the overall construction was a nightmare. That was a few years ago and it was a B-Stock so I do not know if it would be any better now. Moreover, the customer service did not help me at all, I sent them emails and they did not respond at all; that was during the first stages of the pandemic so MAYBE they were having some internal issues at the time. Definitely would recommend avoiding that line of guitars at least.
      On the SubZero subject, I have noticed that they have changed the Genpro models, they have a different (much better looking) bridge and have changed the construction to a bolt-on neck instead of the neck through they had before. Those are the only differences I have see from a first look

      @@echoesreflected8243 several months ago, I had read a review about the Harlem 6 from a guy who sounded satisfied with it, but I can"t find it anymore. Thanks to your comment, I know it's a hit or miss thing. Don't know if I will go there, there are many guitars that deserve attention, so I will put the Harlem on my B list. Thanks !

    • @ToroKchannel
      @ToroKchannel  Год назад

      The built quality is ok, but as I mention in the video, you could have a bit of work for polishing and intonating this axe.

    What about the frets? Can the action be very very low? I always play unplugged and for me the feeling and the unplugged playability is the unique thing

    • @O_marchese
      @O_marchese Год назад

      Without fretbuzz

    • @ToroKchannel
      @ToroKchannel  Год назад +1

      On this one I couldn't set the action really low without fret buzz (I have tried 2mm en low E and 1.8mm on high E and it was terrible ! ). The frets were not perfectly leveled, so maybe if you plan the frets you can have a better result.
