I bought one in Ottawa and the fluid leads can be stunning 'cause of amazing action, also mine doesn't go out of tune. Small adjustments here and there but hardly any. Yeah, I love this Guitar.
I have this guitar and it's really good. It's gorgeous to look at, the neck is terrific for playing and the overall build quality is pretty awesome for the price. However, the pickups are really disappointing. Upgrade the pickups and you'll have a wonderful guitar for less than 400 bucks.
@@suetruett3812 I have not switched them out on my guitar...I simply treat this guitar like I do with my other "low output" pickups: I use an Ibanez Tube Screamer to boost the input on the amp. My suggestion to swap the pickups was only for those who want "hotter" pickups for rock or metal, as this guitar's appearance seems to suit those types of music.

these guitars just became available lately, guess Ibanez was late in getting them to the stores. I have been playing for over 15+ years and have Jacksons, Schecters, and other Ibanez but wanted this guitar due to the color. Grab one if they are available. Yeah had to have this color.. It still holds my attention playing and sounds almost as good as my more expensive guitars. It does not play like a beginner guitar IMO..

Ibanez should really consider making more reverse headstock variations on their RGs and higher end guitars because it's not just beneficial for metal down tuning but the reverse headstock is also kinda very cool looking for metal shredding guitar and it is also the biggest reason why I got into their brand it's because how awesome looking their headstocks when it's reverse and I know some of you will probably say that "Yeah you'll probably just go for the solar guitars" hahaha I like Solars too because their guitars has reverse headstocks, but for me Ibanez has just perfect headstock shape for me not too pointy and not too curvy and body is just perfect for me and solar guitars is just too expensive for me they have no cheaper and affordable models so yeah this is just only my opinion, and I really hope in the future they would make a reverse headstock variations 😁
GODDAMMIT!!!!! Now I gotta go out and buy this....lol. I was planning on getting a GIO anyway. About $200 dollars which isn’t bad. As long as when I play it sounds like one of the Nameless Ghouls playing I’m happy. (Yes big fan of Ghost).

@@CrocsAndCos well tbh a tremolo in this price range wouldnt be too benefic as theyd be cheaper tremolo's, which would then go out of tune easier so personally i prefer a guitar with a fixed bridge for the cheaper side of things
Love Ibanez guitars I own few of the but not GIO series yet and I'm waiting today for my first one the grg121sp. I do own few Ibanez GIO basses and they are really good. I think the last couple year Ibanez GIO series had improved 300% mostly due to the really hard competition on cheap high quality guitar from other companies like Sterling which is making really good instruments although they are not cheap but they are a reasonable price and a lot of options meaning models. I hope Ibanez add other models to the GIO line. Great demo thanks 👍😎
1 thing i did notice about this guitar is that the tuners are positioned in a way that makes the bass side strings very long, unlike most guitars. Do you find this string length increase is better for drop lower tunings like D standard or drop C or B? Also does it make bending/vibrato easier or harder on certain strings?
I have owned mine for 6 months at least, mine was the most torturous to play out the box(didn't come in a box) razor sharp bridge hex nuts that I don't recommend anyone try to adjust, they either thread, snap or just plain ol make things worse!! The vol/tone pots work, 5way switch is sketchy cheap, but there is 5 different sounds... The finish was in truth 'crappy' but... Due to lockdowns, limited funds and all the time required, I put a Schaller hardtail bridge, graphtech nut & locking tuners, I dressed the neck and fretboard myself, also cut back and re-coated the body, electro shielded the guts and I've just put some Seymour pickups in too, (worth every penny) why, because it's an awesome guitar, it had the bones, it needed some passion 'n' bling, (the bridge is perfect, and the satin black nickel finish match the tuners and knobs too! In total its cost less than $1100.00 and plays as if it was worth double that...

And u upgraded this 300$ guitar with hundreds of dollars to an almost 1100$ guitar and now u think it's awesome?! Lol?! That would have been an insane waste of money! Hey I have been playing for years. And have a few Axions which I frickin love. But boy I also love the hell out of my 4 GIO 7s I have and I have like 5 GIO 6's along with the RG8(the one that's like 500). I'm proud of my more expensive guitars cause those we a goal I accomplished. And I wanted them so badly. But my GIOs all were amazing buys with perfect setups not tuning issues and not really a must need for pickup upgrades. Which I did on my 2 blue GIO 7 's and that was only to be able to tell which one is what tuning lol. And I did change the necks to reverse headstocks. I love that look. I'm just wondering if I could get a monorail system bridge. Not a must, cause the stock ones are comfortable to play on and have amazing sustain. I just love monorail systems. Lol. But straight stock these are some phenomenal guitars. You get what you paid for and then some. I'm a huge fan of them.
It's very good for beginners (ergonomic, covers a lot of tones, fixed bridge so less tuning problems, looks inspiring to play). It's nice to be a beginner in 2021 ;)

Most who get a guitar in this price range will remove the bar, add some extra tension springs in the back, and maybe locking nuts as they can't hold the tune for any time. Honestly, it's easier to just get a hardtail like this one... if you want a whammy bar/floyd rose, better look for guitars around $700 range, maybe a grand

Personally, I prefer the slim neck of Ibanezes. Jacksons are good, heavy on the top strings, but I got big fingers and their strings are way too close for me. Jacksons sounds more metal/heavy while this are a bit jazz/blues? I had a Jackson mid-range model and I liked it a bit, but I still prefer Ibanezes personally
No. Its good for large hands with long fat fingers. It has jumbo frets so that means the spacing between each fret is wider than most guitars . If you a beginner to intermediate its good because of wide fret spacing . You dont have to be as accurate . Ibanez is known for building quality guitars for while now. If you can get your hands on a cheap Japanese model you'll get a great instrument . The Chinese have gotten a lot better though . But hey for 200 bucks its a good deal .

This guitar is great for small hands because it has a very thin neck making it easier to play for someone with small hands, frets have nothing to do with whether a guitar is good or bad for small hands.
Not gonna lie. I have one and don't love it. The neck is very finicky. Easy to put too much hand tension and sharpen notes. The pickups are easily some of crappiest I've ever had. Going to definitely replace them with some Seymour duncans or something.

Reverse headstocks are better for down tuning - so - metal…..mostly
More tension on heavy strings so u dont go outta tune👌

Great sounding guitar but I hate that it doesn't have a tremelo. Come on Ibanez... If you're marketing a budget shred machine don't make it a hardtail 🤦
