Yes, Carolyn IS a genius!!! She demonstrated this method at her retreat called "What If?" and the possibilities for creation kept coming at us, one after another, after another. She is a national treasure, our Carolyn!!!
I was so excited when I saw the thumb nail for this video because I thought you made your rollers just like me. Turns out not quite. I use toilet and paper towel rolls. But otherwise pretty much the same. As tp rolls have a slightly wider diameter, I just made a bumper for my roller out of fun foam. I love using die cuts for these rollers. I really like using the fall out pieces to make patterns. Here’s the tip I use to get evenly dispersed patterns. I measure the circumference and length of the roll and then draw out the same size rectangle on graph paper. Then I use die cuts on the graph paper to get the spacing right. I used to have to actually use die cuts on the graph paper but I’ve gotten to the point that I can draw sketches. I also tape the graph paper to a tube so I can recreate the design on a different tube. Come to think of it though, I could just glue the graph paper sketch to the toilet roll and then glue foam on top of the graph paper. I hadn’t thought of this till now 😅This method might be better since I’d use matte medium to do this which means I’d have a layer of acrylic on the roll from the beginning. Like paper die cuts, the cardboard tubes are actually strengthened by acrylic paint.

Do you have a glue gun recommendation?
Do the nozzles for the paint tubes fit other brands besides Amsterdam?
No idea, I haven't tried them on other brands.
Hi how are you doing beautiful
Can you use chunky glitter on your gelplate
Do you mean a glitter paint? Or using glitter to make a pattern in paint or ink.
@@rtd1791 paint I've got some really chunky glitter in the paint thank you for getting back so soon
