Robert...a minor production suggestion - the camcorder is focusing on the books instead of your face (which doesn't have some nice, clear vertical lines which camcorders love to focus on), so during the close up intro, stand in front of a generic blue background with no bold patterns. Much easier for the camcorder to focus on your face that way. In the wider shot with the flip chart this is much less of a problem.
Hi Richard, Veterans come in two stripes -- White and Black. if it came to a Civil War, which is what it seems you are proposing, the Vets will not fight as a unified block, and even the Military would have problems asserting control, because every military unit I know of is fully integrated and Blacks are actually better represented in the Military than in the Greater Society -- they joined up out of economic desperation. But, yes, the Private Militias are primarily White. But then you need to consider the Urban Gangs who are mostly minority. Now imagine a Fight between fat white middle aged beer drinking militia guys against blacks and Hispanics from the cities that have been leavened with Combat Arms Military Veterans of their own. Here you need to be considering that the White Militias have only been talking and training, but the City Gangs have actually been Doing War since the 80s -- those kids are now raised to it after generations of Gangdom -- they must be as cagey, clever and shrewd as the Taliban. So a Civil War in America would be hard to call. But it would definitely fracture our Society. The economy would be destroyed. At this point I wonder whether the Collapse of America would bring down the rest of the World. maybe. But then again maybe the rest of the World would just throw and cordon around America and rescue themselves, and let America return to being a continent of savages just they way they found it 500 years ago.
I think our political system is at the crossroad of balancing from liberal to conservative or vice-versa. Trump is going to push the system as much as can to what he wanted. Future liberal administration is going to reverse it somewhat. Keep the system in balance.
