As a Canadian I have seen much of the Trump play book before, namely in Canada when Steven Harper was PM of Canada. Now Harper was 100 times smarter then Trump but the deny, deflect, belittle play book was the same. For years we had members of parliament selected as spokes persons acting the same as this Steven Miller. Harper and the Conservative lost the next elections so have hope my American friends

Thoughts from this video: "You don't become President of the United States by being stupid." But Trump did - because of the intersection and timing of various irregular factors. It is difficult for the average American to pull together the big picture as you did here. Events are not simple and require constant, precious time to process, especially in a strident, polarized climate. Trump is not smart enough, nor focused enough, to orchestrate a multi-pronged attack strategy, but his proclivity for attacking everyone achieves effectively the same result. I struggle with the "Progressive candidate" debate. I voted for Bernie in the primary, then - after literally days of internal debate - voted Hillary over Trump. For several years I volunteered with the Wolf-PAC arm of The Young Turks - DECIDEDLY Progressive! Yet I despair when I see Progressives insist on all or nothing regarding Democrats in general. I don't think they realize that it could be now or never - that the forces against us are far more numerous and powerful than most really understand: 30 years of momentum, Wall Street, Investment Banks, Goldman Sachs infiltration and deep roots in US and international finance, gerrymandering, voter suppression, Kochs, Mercers, Fox, Limbaugh, Ailes, Murdoch, Hannity, giant media, big pharma, oil, oil, and more oil, lobbyists employed by all these, and the military industrial complex's stranglehold on the national purse strings. Against all of that, the average working class citizen has what? A vote. Maybe. But they will try to split even that vote. Hi Steve, Yes, there is a struggle between Institutionalized Dems and the progressives, but would we even want the Institutionalized Dems? Look at Obama. The Banks were falling. HE COULD HAVE NATIONALIZED THEM. Maybe declared a National Emergency, or even a Global Emergency, but we would have been able to take care of the Problem THEN. But Obama simply continued the Bush bail out policy and kicked the problems of Inequality and Unsustainable Growth down the road. Indeed, going all the way back to Bill Clinton. If you look at the Dem Primaries the year Clinton got the first Nomination, Clinton was running as Ronald Regan Lite. Obama was Republican Lite. Look at Obamacare. It was handing National Health Care over to dozens of Corporate Entities. The Republicans only hated it because it came from the Dems but would have loved it if it had come from them, and Obamacare was even based on Romney's Massachusetts Plan. So, Steve, why would we want to elect Republican Lite Dems when we could vote for the Real Thing?

Now, Oprah could answer a lot of doubts if only she would announce who her Dream Cabinet would be. If we knew who she would appoint then we would know more about her. Until then Oprah is just a big Questionmark. Maybe she would make a better Republican. We don't know anything besides Fuzzy Feel Good.
