I can't believe he is the president of Aputure. Indymogul was amazing and he is the nicest dude, always shows interest when talking to professionals, perfect interview style.
This is irrelevant but we need a new contest that somehow caters to amateurs or lower budget filmmaking. Like shooting a short film using one MC light or using no lights at all hahaha

I have 4 PB12s so the new case is perfect not to mention that 8 kit case is to big for me. I've been intrigued by the 600C but the lack of raw power when set to 5600K compared to the 600D Pro limited the justification of getting that for me because I'm not about to buy two separate 600 model lights yet. But the MKII, according to the spec sheet on B&H, is close enough that I don't really care about the small difference anymore.
I heard from another Aputure guy in another video from the last event that Sidus Link Pro will be subscription based. I have been on board with you guys for many years but this is the first NO from me and it's a big one. Just let me buy it outright for couple hundred if I have to do that instead. Then let me buy yearly updates for less.

Oof, yeah subscription based is a hard pass for me even if I wasn’t already using blackout. If they’re venturing into dmx, their main competitors are going to be lumenair and blackout, neither of which are subscription based which is a huge plus. Hopefully the aputure guy you’re referring to misspoke.
