    You could also check the difference in active safety of these cars. You could perform a 100-0 km/h brake test, to see the difference in the braking performance of the same model with different horsepowers.

    For the NA market, the price between R and Clubsport probably will never be that close. Clubsport is absolutely sweet for daily driving.

      The R is such a good value if you are already at the clubsport level. The AWD gets you better launches and helps with traction. Best value is getting a GTI and using a JB4 to get to the Cs HP, you wouldn't even need to add anything else.

Wenn der VW Konzern die Software Probleme in den Griff bekommen würde, hätte man mit dem Lineup ein wirklich gut abgegrenztes Portfolio am Start. Die Performance scheint ja wirklich gut zu sein. I don´t think so. The GTI has always been like this, a fast car for everyday use with a slightly sportier exterior design that won´t make a 40 year old guy question to buy it or not because of how it looks (...Civic...)
      The Clubsport is a version of the GTI for those who like extra performance and a more agressive looks that wouldn´t appeal to everyone if it was the only version on sale.
      But we can of course discuss the pricing, I think VW just ask for a premium price tag just becasue it is a Golf, so both cars should be cheaper. Especially in this mk8 version, which has a downgraded quality interior.

    Mal ne Frage an alle 8R Fahrer...beim rolling Race ist da nicht die Driftmode einstellung der Allradeinstelkung überlegen? Da die Kraft stärker auf die Hinterräder gelenkt wird?
    Und könnte man zum Start aus dem Stand den Allrade/Race Mode nutzen und dann ab z.b. 100kmhbauf den Driftmode umschalten um mehr Vortrieb zu bekommen? Und somit z.b. bessere 1/4 Meilen Zeiten zu erzielen wie komplett im Allrad zu fahren?
    Über Feedback wäre ich dankbar :)

    • @ag8912
      @ag8912 Год назад +1

      Da es ein Haldex System ist, wird die Hinterachse automatisch entkoppelt sobald genügend Traktion an der Vorderachse vorhanden ist. Es kann eh lediglich maximal 50% des Antriebsmoments auf die Hinterachse geleitet werden und das niemals manuell. Der Driftmode betrifft lediglich die Kraftverteilung zwischen den beiden hinteren Rädern. Grundsätzlich ist also die Annahme in vielerlei Hinsicht falsch und würde selbst wenn sie zutreffen würde keinen Effekt auf die Beschleunigung haben.

The most sportier is the base model S here in USA with DSG . It is almost 200 lbs lighter than the top trim Autobahn. Base model also comes with lightweight 18 inch wheels and tires. Maybe that is why there is that much difference in your data.
