The opening of this sonata is sublime. And I've fallen in love with the pianist.
So wonderful to see the mischief and joy in the piece reflected in the pianist's eyes. He embodies the very mercurial nature of this music.

Ashamed to say I did not know this Schumann work, but Robert Neumann is a poetically persuasive advocate for it.
Schumann wasn't a strange composer but very very human and in love with Clara....
