- As per Saudi-run news outlet reports, Israeli F-35 stealth fighter jets penetrated Iranian airspace several times during the last two months. According to an unverified report in Elaph, the jets successfully evaded Russian and Iranian radars during ‘military exercises.’ The report says Israel and the U.S also carried out ‘secret exercises’ over the Red Sea. They simulated a strike on Iran from the sea and air and the seizing of Iranian warships. Watch this video for more details.

Add up the total cost of any fighter development program from the United States including lifetime implementation I bet it's close to the same once you add in parity of monetary value . But Northrop did not have the same funding as Lockheed, which is why the YF-23 prototype was very crude and badly put together. And having a stealth advantage and a small speed advantage couldn't compete against the F-22's better maneuverability, weapons package and overall cost. Also Lockheed Martin's buying power is nothing to joke about.
