You should get yourself an immersion blender, makes mixing small batches much more consistant. I like your balloon idea for masking off the inside! Thats genius.
I would imagine so, but I don't really use many commercial glazes. You can start with just your regular transparent glaze and see how it works for you. Also, if anyone else here in the comments has any suggestions, feel free to add them.
Huh. different minds. i would have thought you would have dipped half the pot in one glaze, and then the other half in the other glaze. not sure if it would make a difference, but surface tension might play a role.
I've tried that but the result was rather inconsistent. It will also become more important when I add colors to the mix and I am still interested in the raw clay finish as well
