For more of Ad Infinitum try Marching on Versailes from their first album or Afterlife from their second. Both popular and good. For more of Melissa growling try heading over to Feuerschwanz and their cover of Ding! Featuring Melissa (also its a funny video)

Edit: Fire and ice is a great follow up!

Melissa seems like an incredibly nice person from seeing interviews- probably one of many reasons she's had a _lot_ of collaboration opportunities. Even her growls are smooth as honey. I too wish she used them more heh. Funny that the first I heard from her was See You In Hell with no growls and I wished she growled not even knowing that was part of her skillset. I Am The Storm is another I'd bet you'll enjoy. My favorite is Marching On Versailles about the women marching on that fortress in the French Revolution (French is her first language). Lots more from Ad Infinitum which is the band she started after singing with Rage Of Light and I think another band where she just did cleans, and her featured vocal projects. For all growls, check out Rage of Light's cover of Amon Amarth's Twilight of the Thunder God with backing growls by that band's founder.

Ad Infinitum is an incredibly underrated band with some songs that really belong on worldwide stages.
Among my favorites are "Somewhere better", "Upside down", "From the Ashes" and "Eternal rain", I could listen to these tracks every day.

Melissa Bonny is such a force of nature - Ad Infinitum began as a crowd funded project, she has done lead growls with other groups, she toured with Kamelot (doing the role Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy used to do in that she can mix growls/cleans on a word if she wants) and all though the summer festival season and touring this year with Ad Infinitum her stage presence has become complete fire. Total package.
Ad Infinitum is a fascinating project in taking events or figures from history and using them as inspiration (rather than a direct narrative re-telling like Sabaton). Chapter I was French Revolution, Chapter II was Vlad Tepes and Chapter III is Cleopatra. I also cannot help but notice the speed at which they are pushing out albums. Their stuff is *interesting* as well as well-produced and well-performed.

Melissa Bonny is such a sweetheart, and oh so talented. She recently married her long time boyfriend Morten, the drummer from Amaranthe(and her Dark Side of the Moon side project).
For Ad Infinitum's first album, the band was mostly wearing medieval plague doctor masks with huge crow beaks... which turned out to be WAY too on the nose for a 2020 release. :P
Melissa was in Rage of Light when I first heard her, a Swiss Trance Metal/Death Metal band, but she left them after one album, because she was doing so much already. She's done guest vocals with Feuerschwanz, with Warkings, with Kamelot, and more. She's really in demand.

With Rage Of Light: "Twilight Of The Thundergod" (Amon Amarth)
With The Dark Side Of The Moon: "Jenny Of Oldstones" (from GOT)
With Feuerschwanz: "Warriors Of The World" (Manowar), "Ding" (Seeed)

This is the song that got me into them as well. After that I listened to all their music and was amazed when their latest album (chapter III - downfall) dropped. It's their best album ever imo. I had to buy it. My favorite song by them is called "somewhere better". Cheers!

Welcome to the Mel Army Ray! Ad Infinitum's albums are based on historical figured. Chapter I was about the French revolution during the time of Henry 8th, Chapter II (that this song is from) is about Vlad Tepesh aka Dracula .. that should explain the lyrics about coming back to life and hell have to wait. Then Chapter II is about Cleopatra.
Now you need to check out her other band, The Dark Side Of The Moon as well as all her collaborations with other bands like Feuerschwanz. Oh and she used to sing in Rage Of Light as well... Take a look at their cover of Twilight of the Thundergod.

Melissa's singing is up there with Floor and Simone. Ad Infinitum was originally assembled to be a showcase for Melissa. Many of their songs have a Europop Metal sound to them. They could easily be played on the radio. You can hear her growling in the song Upside Down. one of their more recent releases. Definitely one of my favorites from them.
She is one of the busier singers in metal, being featured in songs by Feuerschwanz and Kamelot as well. She is also in a band called The Dark Side of the Moon with her new husband Morten, the drummer from Amaranthe and members of Feuerschwanz. They do a great cover of the Enya song May It Be.

Melissa Bonny is by far my favorite artist right now. Her vocals, both clean and growls, are incredible and unmatched. This song is from Ad Infinitum's second album Chapter 2 - Legacy, the theme of which iirc revolves around the character of Vlad the Impaler, so a lot of the songs have a pronounced darkness to them. If you enjoy her vocals, definitely take a look at her other project "The Dark Side of the Moon." Jenny of Oldstones was their debut and is incredible. New Horizons is a powerful original. From Ad Infinitum, as others have suggested, Afterlife , Marching on Versailles, Revenge, and Live Before You Die are among some of my favorites.

Oh - yes ... this 8(!)-String-Strandberg-Guitar is a beast - the additional 2 strings give you some additional tones - but it's certainly not easy to master.
Well - Melissa (Bonny) is some special kind of singer. Started out at Rage Of Light (Who just released a new video with their new singer Martyna Halas - it's over 9 minutes long full of Piano, guitar, techno-rhythms, speech-singing, clean, grow - vocals ...) and then started Ad Infinitum. In the meantime she started another project: "The Dark Side Of The Moon" with another famous guitar player (Hans Platz) and her husband on the drums (the drummer from Amaranthe - Morten Lowe Sorenson) and Jenny Diehl (a Harpe-player ... no joke). They sound also wonderfull, mostly they are re-doing soundtracks or game-music (have a look at "Legends Never Die" or "Double Trouble") ...
However - Ad Infinitum released three (metal) records so far - I (personally) like the first and second more than the third, but they are all rock-solid - if you like symphonic metal you can't go wrong with Ad Infinitum. There is another one with rhythm guitar and softer vocals - yes, of course she can sing, but well ... ...
This is from the 2nd album - each of it is "themed" - 2nd is about "Dracula" - therefore these lyrics ;)
For listening to the "growling" Melissa:
Ad Infinitum - Into The Night, Marching On Versailles, I Am The Storm, ...
The Dark Side Of The Moon - Jenny Of Oldstones
Rage Of Light - Mechanicals, Twilight Of The Thunder God (Cover-Version from Amon Amarth), I Can, I Will
    Warkings - Sparta
or ... if you understand German and want to see a weird video
    Feuerschwanz - Bing

For more Ad Infinitum, I would recommend "Upside down" (with some growls, as well) or "Somewhere Better" (ballad). These are songs from their latest album, with the plus that the other band members finally have dropped those ridiculous pet masks and you can see their faces.
I like Melissa's side band "The Dark Side Of The Moon" even more, check out "Legends Never Die" or "The Gates of Time". Their best song, where Melissa shows her wide range of vocals, is "If I Had a Heart", but unfortunately, there is no video to it.
For more Melissa, their collaborations with Feuerschwanz "Ding" and "Warriors Of The World United" are really great videos, but more on the goofy side.

The entire band is fantastic, but you are correct in that Melissa is an absolutely top tier singer who can do it all. Not only are her clean vocals amazing, not only does she have impressive range, she's also a really good growler as well. It's almost not fair, and it's definitely not fair that she's not more well known. If you're looking for another Ad Infinitum song to check out, my recommendation would be for the official music video for "Marching on Versailles" as there is some more growling in it from Melissa. Nice to see you reacting to "symphonic metal" again as there's a lot of bands in that genre that I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Melissa started singing in the school choir at the age of 6. She comes from French-speaking Switzerland and is a native speaker of French. Previously she was in Rage of Light:
RAGE OF LIGHT - Mechanicals (OFFICIAL VIDEO)
In 2018 she started Ad Infinitum as a studio project. The first singles were so successful that she founded a band. At the same time, she had to get out of Rage of Light because she couldn't do both.
She moves to Germany because of the cost of living, which is why her band is made up of Germans. But she falls in love with Amaranthe's Danish drummer and moves to Denmark with him. She married him this year.

lol - music is not a competition ... You don't need someone who can beat Amy Lee. Amy Lee is a great singer. Melissa Bonny, Floor Jansen, Simone Simons, Cristina Scabbia, Sharon Del Adel, Jennifer Haben, Brittney Slayes, Zora Cox, Clementine Delauney, Eli Berlin, Alissa White-Gluz are also great singers ... and these are all female metal singers that came directly in my mind. In fact there are so many, many more you, I did not know so far. But you degrade your mind if you always think about who is better. Music is for fun - for your feelings. You don't need the best to make you laugh, smile ... whatever ...
Just listen to a lot of them - if you don't like them, no problem - there are more to listen too.
