You have saved my life Dr Berg. I have followed the advice in this video and within one month, I am completely balanced. This time last month (pre period) I was bed bound and contemplating taking my own life 🤦🏾♀️ I feel like I have been freed from mental prison. I can’t thank you enough 👏🏾🙏🏿
I can't wait to try these things. It scares me how out of control my emotions are before my menstrual cycle. Feel exhausted and suicidal. The rest of the month I'm fine. As a person with faith, it really bothers me that I don't seem to have any control over my emotions. Thank you for posting this video. I'm positive that your advice will be beneficial, it always is.
I’ve dealt with this for many years and I’m almost healed completely. It has alot to do with past trauma and holding on to stuff. Listen to Louise Haye and you will see changes if you are open to it! Plus diet changes
I cried the second this notification popped up. I have been suffering for a few years with this, and just went up on Zoloft because of it... nobody talks about this. I felt so alone and hopeless. I haven't even watched the video yet but want you to know how grateful I am that you are speaking on it. 🥺🖤 Thank you!
I am almost healed after suffering from this almost 7 years. It has to do a lot with emotional trauma holding on to guilt and anger. Listen to Louise Haye and you will see changes if you are open to it!
You're not alone! I wish women talked more about this and professionals as well. I was diagnosed with it 6 months ago and I though I had major depression. It's awful!
@@mirandam5746 I also healed from this and fibroids from doing deep inner work, letting go of so much anger and shame that I had in me. I love Louis Hays work and also Dr Joe dispenza
I can’t explain how grateful I am that you made this video. I am going to try your recommendations. The struggle of PMDD is something I wouldn’t even wish on my worst enemy.. it’s debilitating
Last month was horrible for me. Each month I lose 10 days to this nightmare and I dread those days. It is like I’m a totally different person during that period. I will definitely try all of these. My life, my work, my relationships everything goes upside down before my periods. Thank God I found this video. Reading these comments is giving me a lot of hope
You don’t have PMDD so you wouldn’t know it’s not great advice. They are two completely different things. Many people with pmdd already omit dairy, sugar and caffeine. They still have pmdd because it’s not a hormonal imbalance. Dr Berg has not shown any evidence-based or scientific evidence for his “solution”. It just feeds his bank account.
You are the first person to ever explain these symptoms I’ve been having after my third child. And every doctor or document would say it’s an estrogenic issue… but I never had estrogen dominance. It was exactly what you said it was! And dairy products would throw it off even more!!!
That's what I love about Dr. Berg!! He EXPLAINS things and then gives you natural suggestions to help you overcome them!! You surely DO NOT get this from a regular medical doctor who just pulls out his prescription pad to throw drugs at the issue or tells you that's just how it is. 🤦♀
Maybe we don't have to be estrogent dominant, but consuming dairy before our menstruation cycle does elevate the estrogen. I remember taking a big tall coffee and milk 2 days in a row, before my cycle begin, and i got a terrible headache now, but it's not always like that with my other cycle.
I am so incredibly grateful. I have suffered from extreme depression symptoms every month for years. It was usually a week at least of being completely exhausted, sometimes bedbound with pain all over my body and some very frightening thoughts. It was completely debilitating causing problems in my work life and relationships. But I am so happy to report that after 3 months of this protocol, my last two periods came as a surprise for the first time ever. I had almost no pms symptoms, no extreme moods, no fatigue except for the day before which is natural. Thank you so so much.
I had PMDD years starting early on in my teens without knowing what it was or what was going on with me. It wasn't until my late 20s til I started to connect the dots that for 2 WHOLE WEEKS before my period I was a total disaster. IT WAS AWFUL. PMDD made a mess of my relationships and jobs and life and doctors were absolutely no help, they didn't even hear of PMDD back then. I was 45 when I had my ovaries removed - the only real cure to this debilitating disease. I feel 1000% better but if I'm being honest, I am very angry and resentful for having to be the 1% that has (had) it and for it basically ruining my life. Sorry for the rant, but to say what I suffered through was a nightmare is an understatement, glad you're talking about Dr. Berg, more of this is needed.
My symptoms started 10 days before my period like clockwork, I had bad period pain, back pain, breast pain, severe anger and depression, OCD symptoms, severe anxiety, sore gums… the list goes on. I got help once I became suicidal after dealing with it for 10 years and am now on Sertraline which helps immensely.
Thank you!!!! I have suffered with PMDD since I was a Pre-teen when no one knew what to call it. They just kept telling my parents that I was depressed. I’m so grateful that they never stopped seeking answers and help for me. We finally found a doctor who diagnosed me correctly and had me on 10k iu of vitamin D. Recently symptoms starting coming back so I am going to do everything else you said. I track my cycle and you posted this video right when I’m about to enter what I call “hell week”. Thank you so much!
Hell week haha exactly! I wish more people understood the pain. I literally have to plan around it and when a friend tries to make a plan during this time I’m like hell no! Ask me when the week is over and it’ll be a hell yes!
Thank you Dr. Berg! This protocol has changed my life in two months. I have no more symptoms of PMDD, I don't even get PMS anymore. This has changed my life and my relationship with my hubby has improved ten fold. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Fantastic, this is great to hear, I'm right behind you on this, I trust Dr. Berg. Enough misery!! I always thought I just had ferocious pmt until I spoke to my Mum. She had an awful time before hysterectomy. Yes, I've read all the blah in detail but no ACTUAL SOLUTION to the problem. The light was getting dimmer each time. Thank God for this man! Best of luck in future..
Suffered with this every month for every year for 45 years. My mom asked our doc my first year what could be done. He said when I had my first child it would go away. She commented that hers didn't go away until her first hysterectomy. Lol. Loved my mom's sense of humor.
@@diauser3327 - did they remove your ovaries with your hysterectomy? I think if they only take your uterus, but leave your ovaries you can continue to have hormone-driven symptoms.
Thank you so much for doing a video on this, Dr. Berg!!! There are so few doctors out there that recognize the impact this disorder has on one’s life and that makes it even harder to find help. It’s debilitating. This gives me hope. God bless. ❤️❤️❤️
After years of having these symptoms that have literally destroyed relationships and made me feel like a monster or a crazy person for several days a month, I have just learnt that this is why. I knew you’d know how to help and bless you for all you do dr berg. You are literally a life saver
Mee too! I remember people I used to be with used to ask me why am I like that. And I used to feel so sad knowing they wouldnt believe that around period time I felt like a different perosn! It suuucks to have PMDD ! but its nice to know it can be fixed quickly
This man is a genius. This has changed the whole game for me. Thank you Dr. Eric Berg. I stumbled upon this video two months ago and the symptoms have gone down so much!!!
Dr Berg. I’ve been implementing this for the past 3 weeks after having one of the worst PMDD before my last menstrual period. I can tell that from 1-10 being 10 the worst my pmdd this month was at a 3. I’ll keep doing this. I almost want to cry bc I feel so much better. This month I had barely any bloating and my emotions were so well balanced! I went from not wanting to be alive the pass month to feel sad for probably 5 min this month. I was so worried about this time of the month coming again and I woke up with my period I didn’t even realized 😩. I feel like I’m getting out of a mental prison 🙏🏼❤️. God bless you for sharing this to us for free!
@@songforguy1 still great, from 1-10 being 10 my worst, this month I was at a 3! Minimal cramping, no swollen lymph nodes. I got a little sad for 2 min, easy to control 😂. I used to get the worst pimples, well, I have no acne now. It’s just amazing how much have my life changed.
@@heidypreston5914 that's great! My daughter has this but doesn't believe that a male doctor would know how to fix it, little alone state that it's an easy fix! Lol.
This really works! Thank you so much Dr Berg! I have been doing this for three months now and the change is absolutely incredible. I have suffered from PMDD for the past 25 years gradually getting worse as I get older. I was on the absolute brink a few months ago, completely desperate and have been begging for help from GPs and gynaecologists for years and they keep telling me it’s ‘just depression’ I was already subscribed to your channel and find your videos fascinating so I searched to see if you had one on PMDD…and here we are. I have been taking 20,000 iu of Vitamin D, organic sea kelp, cut out all dairy and started a low GI diet. For the first time in my life my nervous system is calm. I’m no longer in fight or flight mode. I have had 3 menstrual cycles now with next to no symptoms 😮 I still get some physical symptoms but my emotions are regulated and I feel like this is how ‘normal me’ should be. I was so sceptical when you said at the start of the video it was an ‘easy fix’ because nobody has maned to fix this in 25 years! But you were right. I have so much gratitude for you and hope this video helps many women get through this absolute hell. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
Dr Berg, a doctor who legitimately cares about your health not just gauging what they tell you on how much they are getting from your HMO amd telling you come back in two weeks for years
I had to come back and leave this comment because doing these small things has CHANGED everything. It happened almost immediately, and I'm still shocked
OMG thank you so much for talking about this🙏💕. My daughter has PMDD and holy crap the struggle is REAL😭. What she goes through every couple weeks is unbelievable and even worse, every year or so, something will happen that throws her so far off balance that she actually goes into a deep debilitating depression with a racing mind that won't stop. We have to give her a combo of Ativan and Adderall. It pulls her through but it's hell while she's there. I'm totally going to try and get her to stop dairy. It's a favorite food and soup for her.
Hi as someone who used to be in a somewhat similar situation, magnesium 300 mg had also helped. But I just took it for a week or so before the period with 1000 IU vit D. I also take liposomal glutathione or opitac glutathione, it has a huge impact on lowering fatigue.
@@namastehindustan9879 I just started her on the Keto diet with intermittent fasting and the great advice on this video. We'll see next month if it's better😊
Dr. Berg I am so grateful for you, thank you so much for saving me from this monthly mental struggle. I have completed 4 months now following your advice, for the first time in a while I felt like a normal person and in control of my life, sometimes I would cry from joy because It’s unbelievable how simple this was. It makes me mad that these information was hidden from us, I kept talking about my issue with many doctors and no one have helped me. I was losing hope and the ideas of ending my life kepts getting worse and worse. Thank you for saving the lives of so many women. 🙏🏻❤️
Came back to say thank you so much for the advice on this video! I have been following your tips consistently for 4 months and my PMDD has now completely gone. The awful depressive episodes and intrusive thoughts are no more. Even my menstrual cramps are pretty much non existent. I can’t thank you enough this has literally changed my life for the better!
I dated a woman with PMDD (severe), She even knew she had it, but could not control it, After 2.5 years I had to call it quits. I have empathy for any woman going through this, and their significant others.
Thank you for being the reason for changing my whole life!! Last month my PMDD was a real nightmare.. I was so sad that I'm gonna retake antidepressants again! After watching this video, I started to take vitamin D with K2 , DIM , iodine with selenium & cut off the dairy milk products as much as I can. This month I can say that I don't feel any of the PMDD symptoms!!! I feel very normal , doing my daily activities actively & in a good mood ! Thank you so much Dr. Berg!
This worked! I have terrible endometriosis and adenomyosis. I am not on birth control. Last month (despite copious amounts of alcohol while on vacation the week of my period) I had NO cramps, mild bloating (prob alcohol) and no depression. Thanks, Doc!
It is weird how everyone isn’t willing to change themselves to resolve a health issue. We are all where we are because we want to be. Thank you for helping those of us who are willing to do the work ❤️
They complained their pain but when we tell tips from dr berg they ignore it. They r addicted to carbs, brainwashed by 'love urself by what satisfy u', etc . . . . Some will realize this later age, only few younger . .
I get eye rolls, etc from my mom every time I mention keto. My sister won’t do it for fear of ketoacidosis (she tried keto but incorrectly and ended up in the hospital. She has type 1.5 diabetes and is morbidly obese. I watched her put carbs/sugar on her plate at Thanksgiving while I ate strictly my keto sides. It’s really sad how many people play victim but refuse to take their health seriously enough to change it. I’ve lost almost 70 since February and feel incredible! It’s totally worth the hard work!
@@sandib9921 how did she do keto incorrectly? I'm asking bc my FIL ended up in the hospital as well after keto. He ate animal products and fat only, all day. No fruits no veg.
@@CG-mj8tk She didn’t use electrolytes, which is HUGE! Dr Berg also recommends IF and clean keto along with monitoring blood sugar levels. She didn’t do this. Now she’s too afraid to try yet she continues to eat carbs and sugar.
Dear Dr. Berg: You have truly changed the game when it comes to my PMDD (I can't say I really have it anymore). Aside from some minor physical discomfort just before and during my period, I can say that my emotional symptoms are virtually gone (and I've only been following this routine for two weeks). Thank you for treating this disorder from the ground up! You are incredible!!! ☆
Anyone doubting this information, I feel for you. I was in horrible shape so desperate for help. Went to many, many doctors. They gave me ssri’s, diazepam, birth control, IUD, progesterone pills all to no avail! Years, and years and years of battling this!! So many wasted years! 😫😩!!!! Doctor! Why couldn’t I have found you sooner. I’m just happy I found you. Thank you! Thank you. Not enough thank you’s. In Existence! To express how grateful I am for you! When God made you he broke the MOLD!!! You are amazing!! Keep being you!
I've been suffering since I was 11. I'm now 44. I have to take pain killers days before my period just to function and to avoid vomiting for the entire first day of my period. I also had to take birth control just to function. Can't wait to try these tips
I introduced my friends to Dr. Berg just today after binge watching his videos for the last couple of weeks and today of all days this video pops up which addresses a problem that’s plagued my BFF for quite a while. Thank you Dr Berg and thank you fate!
Things that I have found make my PMDD worse: 1. Caffeine 2. Dairy - Cheese etc 3. Lack of sleep 4. Stress And its particularly bad if these things build up through the month before my period. oh boy watch out. Im experimenting with vitamin levels and taking sugar out now and will be taking Dr Bergs advice too.
I noticed the same 4 points you mentioned plus sugar and nicotine. I eliminated all of them, eat only homemade food, exercise everyday and take vitamin D3, fish oil, B6, magnesium and C. My symptoms are 80% less. The best part I started to feel happy and no longer trying to kill someone 2 weeks before my period.
I've also stopped helping people who love attention through pity. I've discovered that they don't really want the help as well. Mostly family, sadly. Severely obese (they take offense to that statement); diabetic ("You took everything away! What else can I eat??!!")...sigh. I've have healed MY body through food and knowing my deficiencies. These people are toxic to my growth so, I've stopped. So, thanking you for confirming many areas of healing. Great info as usual, Dr. :)
Amen, well said. I had to walk away from my family for that same reason. So Much Drama and not a single soul wants to get rid of their problems, they wanna stay stuck so they can continue in their lake of self pity while trying to drag everyone down with them🤦
I'm 7 days before þy period, i can feel everything changing. This is usually when i start falling off the mountain of stability. I'm going to try this all now. I'm so tired of this roller-coaster every month. Meditation has helped but it in no way eliminates it. Thanks for this advice ill come back and leave a review after these 7 days!
I WANT help! 😭❤️ Thank you SO MUCH! FINALLY a video that gives me hope! I've been searching far and all over to find resource like this! I really prayed a lot to find a solution! Thank You Jesus!! 🙏🙌
i;m shaking as i watch this. my mood was so low and dark last week. i'm so scared for the next month. thank you. i will have to follow these guidelines. i'm going to have to trash the dairy products. i drank an unusual amount of hot chocolate and ate so many cheese slices in january 2022, in cheese and cracker sandwiches. could explain why the first week of february 2022 was a dark shitshow for myself. binge-watching all of your videos Dr Berg! i need my life back!
I’m going to try these things. I’m on disability and feel my life go by. Nothing worked!!! I’m feeling hopeful and will definitely let you know after I start on the vitamins! ❤
I just came here after 1.5 year to post my comment. THIS HELPED ME WITHIN a MONTH ! I 'have' PMDD and PCOS. The supplements you advised to take just solved both problems. I had irregular periods and 2 weeks PMDD symptoms (depression like state, latargy, crying, anger, huge cravings, huge bloating and water retention) just horrible waste of time and bad vibes. It was like this from when I was 16. It took me 10 years to figure out that this is related to my hormones and not my personality... And I ended up researching PMDD. One day when it was so sunny and beautiful summer day and I was on the beach but I felt like a cloud was on my head, I was so angry without any reason I search through all Internet and found this video. I've implemented your advice + I tried to manage more stress. And it helped! I just wanted to thank you so much!👼 I'm finally sane, my cycle is somewhat regular, no or little symptoms of PMS, sometime even I am surprised when period comes, because nothing builds me up for this event. I am so happy that I will not waste half of my life for the depressed state of being! WOMEN try it out!
WOW @sunshinebabe777 I am SO happy for you! I feel like crying reading this comment. PMDD is such a hard thing to live with. I will start trying all these tips starting tomorrow. Can i ask a few more questions re your PMDD journey? I don't know anyone else with it. Thanks
I have PMDD and have been taking H5TP for a few months-- it helps a good deal but not completely. I'll try your advice starting tomorrow! Btw PMDD is hell and most doctors don't even know it.
OMG!!! I cannot believe you're talking about PMDD.... I've been trying to rid myself of this for eons!! And having Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele it's hits me hard. Thank Dr. Berg I'm going to follow your advice!
@@Blessednesting My doctor mentioned a type of birth control that had great results easing PMDD. She also thought I was beginning the Menopause stage so I declined. My daughter was recently put on it for PMDD & it's been a blessing for sure.
Thank you, Doctor! I was cured of the PMDD in two months following your advice. I used DIM, vitamins with iodine with kelp, vitamin D in tablets (10,000). I did not change my diet. I used to suffer not only mentally but also physically. Now even the pains are almost gone. Thank you!
Wow did you read my mind or something? Ive been searching your videos for a few weeks to see if you covered this but I could only find videos on PMS which, dont get me wrong were helpful, but not the same as PMDD which is much much much worse. This is a real thing many women suffer with. Thanks for this.
Dr. Berg thank you so so much for this video. I have been suffering from PMDD for as long as I can remember.. I was diagnosed with it in 2017, I'm 27 years old. First, I have to say it's comforting (in a sad way) to know that I am not alone in this crazy imbalance issue.. Reading the comments of each woman who has suffered this can understand firsthand what it's like to not feel like yourself during that awful time.. Second, I just want to say I appreciate this video so much.. It cuts to the chase. I have been reading articles and trying to research ways to combat this.. Yesterday I went to the doctor's and am trying a new prescription. I am so so tired of dealing with this and not only do I suffer from it, but my loved ones do as well.. I am going to try all four suggestions in this video. I will report back to you if it helps, and YOU have officially given me hope.
After watching this video I started taking DIM, sea-iodine capsule, vitamin D3 and two things I included myself- vitamin B12 and Omega 3. One pill each every day. Also stopped taking Yoghurt for breakfast. It has been a month now. I already felt the change in my mood and energy level from the first week. I’ve been suffering from period related depression for already many years. So I know quite clearly when I feel good or not, from all the past experiences. I can tell that this last month was pretty amazing. I am not so depressed as I used to be, and I also have much more energy throughout the day. I do still sometimes have depressive feelings but it does not last so long anymore. Previously it would last days to weeks. Now just for half a day i might feel bad and much more days are filled with good energy. Life is much more liveable now. I really hope this will continue on.
@@LenaMele If you can please share for how long should we take these supplements? And do we have to stop taking dairy products for lifetime? & how is it going for you?
I'm 42yrs, having lots of health problems of recent before my menstrual such as breast tenderness, headaches, nausea. Was told it could be premenopausal symptoms. Love to watch your videos.
I suffer from undiagnosed PMDD - only have one good week a month. The rest of the time I'm crying and feeling depressed, mood swings, dark thoughts - it's hard to live like this. Had PMS for the past 5 years, but it's exacerbated in the last year. Ordered all of these products and will update you once I start taking them.
Thank you, I've thought the same. If symptoms are predicable according to one's cycle, seems like it's more of a medical one vs. a mental one even if the manifestation is mental. Thank you for these suggestions!
Gonna try this! I was just on my Facebook PMDD group and saw someone mention you. I hopped on there because i'm having a super hard time today dealing with everything in life. I am super excited to try this!!
I just started a gluten free diet a couple days ago and eliminated the jug of creamer I go through a week with my coffee & have noticed an incredible difference. This video gives me hope that I can bring quality back to my life again! I’m going to add the sea kelp and cruciferous veggies along with violating the vitamin D to see how it goes!!
After having had a SEVERE PMDD for years and having researched probably all the videos on the topic, I can highly recommend trying Ashwagandha (I take 500 mg per day) right after ovulation and till mens start. Would have never tried that, but just a lucky chance came by and my husband suggested me trying vitamins which he had been taking for a while. It reduces cortisol and it WORKS. Of course, contact your MD first, but there is a lot of info on the web regarding this plant. Sending love to everyone!
I suffer from PMDD, severe mood swings, anxiety, paranoia all usually occurring 1 week before my period. I feel like if I didn't know what pmdd was before this video I don't think I would have been like oh ya thats what I have. This video didn't go into detail enough on the symptoms and the hormonal imbalance. I hope you make another video in the future with a little more info. For now I will try your suggestions. I also have found that by tracking my symptoms each month and knowing when they are going to occur has helped a ton and I can recognize that I need to have more self awareness and self care that week.
Sorry but why would you listen to a chiropract0r about womens reproductive health? I have PMDD too. In this video he basically said we are not trying to help ourselves. You deserve so much better Jacey. PMDD is rough and he’s never experienced it in his life nor has he provided any pr00f that it works. His video is so dangerous to those who suffer from PMDD so I hope he keeps his mouth shut and never shared his LACK of evidenced based opinions
After years with very little dairy, I dived in head first this month and my PMDD is awful. I find no joy in life. Applying these instructions. Thanks for the advice
I'm in my early sixties and remember having extreme PMS until I had a partial hysterectomy at thirty nine. For two weeks solid, I was miserable, and only one week out of every month I felt normal. Most gals dread their monthly periods. But for me I was RELIEVED when I started mine. My granddaughter is only five, but I PRAY she never inherits my hormones 🙄🙏❤
@@annfoster5190 Yes, but that's the point. It's because of the hormones produced by our ovaries that we have this condition. o, how is it that it improved event if your ovaries weren't removed? I'm thinking about removal too and I want to get as much information as possible.
I didnt know till just now that you made a video about this and I havnt even watched the video yet and I want to cry. I've always wondered what I would think about this!
Thank you so much Dr. Berg!!! This really works! This is the first month that I did not feel extremely depressed and emotional right before my cycle. I will continue to follow the advice you give in this video. God bless you Dr. Berg!
Dr Berg - I am so thankful for this video and to read the amazing testimonials in the comments. I just ordered your DIM and Sea Kelp iodine, I need to have an idea of how much sea kelp to take! Thank you so much- God Bless you!
I am so grateful for so many of your videos Dr. Berg. I am post menopausal, but I shared this with many ladies I know who suffer so much before and during this time of the month. God bless you for your wisdom.
I cured my pmdd after just two weeks of clean keto and intermittent fasting. 2 years of depression and strained relationships with my close ones because of the symptoms, now I am finally free! Thanks Dr Berg

This has been debilitating me for years. I recently found out about the DIM but just ordered the vitamin D and Sea Kelp supplements. Thank you for giving us this information.
Dr berg , I hope you read this , I attempted to “unlive” myself yesterday , all because of PMDD , and I am so happy to find that you are talking about it after all doors closed , I’m taking SSRI’s , I can’t take birth control (since my family have a big history of cancer) , really thank you so so much for the video , I’ll try your advices !
I really appreciate you but I don’t agree this time. It’s not just “no cheese and nori”. PMDD is a cycle that takes you from functioning to suicidal, every month. From energetic to complete exhaustion. You literally watch yourself fall apart for 2 weeks, struggle to put yourself back together and then go through it again and again. It is hell
I am currently going through PMDD now. I crave milk and dairy during my ovulation state. I would have milk and other dairy all the time. Today I’m done with it. I will be applying this today. Ordering dim now and I already have iodine supplements and vitamin D. In which I just took. I will definitely try this and keep this channel posted
@@Drberg: Ok this is a follow up. I followed your advice to the “Letter” about PMDD. Last month I started it and it was a bit shaky. This is my following cycle and I’ve eliminated dairy and I’ve been taking supplements. Omg!!! I am doing so much better. I have no cramps. I’m waking up and going to gym (something I would not be able to do)! I’m usually in bed and normally in very bad shape. I love you doctor (not in a weird way) I just truly care about you. I pray that you continue healing people who truly want to be healed. Thank you. 😢❤. I’m doing absolutely wonderful!
Okay, so I started taking these almost a month ago, right after my last cycle when my PMDD was maybe the worst I've had. Figured too many people said it worked and it was worth trying if it gave me relief. I started taking the exact supplements listed here and did not cut out dairy. The DIM did not give me headaches and after a few days of 1/day I started taking 2/day. The difference in my PMDD this cycle is noticeable and it is such a relief. Still had some days with low mood but overall the low was so much less extreme, and over the last week I even had moments where I felt peppy. In my life, PMDD is usually so intense that it throws me off track with my healthy lifestyle and habits but this time around the lows were so much less extreme and has a shorter duration so I was able to manage my symptoms and stay (relatively) on track. Anyway, I was skeptical but now I'm sold. One question though, did anyone else notice a difference in their anxiety after taking these vitamins? I feels like my anxiety is waaaaay less on a day to day basis and I'm not sure if it's from this or meditating.
I haven't started this yet, just found the video, but I think it'd make sense if it helps anxiety if it's mainly from the pmdd I'm so glad this helped you :D I'm going to start this
Omg, that is what i am going through, i thought it's PMS, but then why i feel depressed and so extremely emotional, feeling like giving up, i did not know, you really are a Doctor, with a capital letter☺ can't thank you enough🏆💯
This is the first month I've done keto without cheating. I've really stayed with it. I've had PMDD since I got my Merena IUD almost 4 yrs ago (was talked into it as opposed to the copper kind without synthetic hormones). This was the first month I wasn't a hurricane of emotions with severe menstrual cramps. I think all the cruciferous vegetables I'm eating have helped too! This has been just one of the many positive side effects of keo. Thank u so much Dr. Berg!
Was also put on progesterone only birth control pills and still not getting any relief I will try Dr. Bergs suggestions. They have always worked for me
Don't worry, the copper one made me feel worse as well. So don't even try that one either. You may want to remove it. You may have a sensitivity to progesterone, like many with PMDD. When you remove it, you'll feel your body literally "sigh" with relief.
I've made the same observation. I have noticed some people being "in love", for lack of better words, with their illness. They call it my ___________. Their self value comes from people feeling bad for them. It is not good for anyone.
The supplements you suggested were such a huge help ! No cramping , good moods, ample energy and sound sleep 🎉 I cannot thank you enough Dr Berg ( some info abt me, I am almost 47 been suffering from crippling perimenopause symptoms since I tuned 40 my main issues were severe mood problems and uterine cramps)
I was Keto for 18 months. Physically active, fit, healthy, sleeping, off drugs. At first it helped the luteal phase. However, after a few months the luteal phase stood out even more to me. Because I felt so clear headed and grounded in the follicular phase, it highlighted that my PMDD is very severe. I hope Keto can work for some of you, even temporarily, but I had to go on SSRI's to save my life. I hate the side effects but I was close to suicide many times. Just be careful and don't feel bad if this doesn't work for you - try many things to see what is best for your body.
Dairy is huge!!! It was enough for one cycle to skip dairy to help with that issue. I do take sea calp and vit D already for years so the dairy was my last peace of puzzle. Keto is a must!
I had to private pay a hormone specialist to get any relief. I tried Dr's for many years only to be told have this or that psych med. 1 month on progesterone and I'm so much better!
Wow! I wish I had this information way back then... Can always share this with others!! Thank you for valuable information 🙏 The medical industry along with the pharmaceutical industry really does women a disservice.
This is so comforting, i literally googled excercise for period depression and this popped up . Didn't know so many people were going through such mental pain as I am during periods . I hope we all get better and soon yess I believe very soon! this won't affect our life as it is now . As long as we work towards healing and being healthy we'll get better ❤
Eric, Dr. Berg, with all respects I love to pay to the quality work you deliver here to us, "people" don't have mestruations, mostly neither "breasts" premenstrual related pains, but "women" would do yes.
Not all people who menstruate identify as women. Trans folks can also suffer from menstrual disorders and they deserve recognition and care just as much as anyone else.
Dr. Berg you are a God sent...I really needed this info...I was just thinking of doing a research, on this when I had time (little by little), because I am getting very tired of dealing with my severe pms symptoms. Thank you!
I don't suffer from suicidal thoughts, but more so my fear of dying is intense. The anxiety, bloating, depression, always wanting to just lay down, and I have children to care for so I feel like a shitty mom because I can't really function how I want. I'm 44 and just started to experience this as of last year.
Ask your obgyn to put you on bioidentical progesterone ASAP, you only need a low dose because progesterone is the feel good hormone, the everything is going to be OK hormone which gives women resilience. This hormone decreases after 35, your body does not replenish it and it being too low in relation to estrogen, causes all kinds of malaise that many doctors simply label as ‘you’re crazy and here’s your anti-depressant pill’
today's my first day on DIM and sea kelp, im praying it helps. my pmdd symptoms start in about 7 days. will update 🤞🏼(im already taking 20,000 iu vitamin d), I also stopped eating dairy, refined carbs, refined sugar and caffeine
update: no pmdd symptoms this month !!! I had about 3 or 4 days of pms symptoms: fatigue, brain fog, slight melancholy but NOTHING nearly as devastating as pmdd. Funny how a quick youtube video can turn your life around. Thank you ❤ second update, second pms cycle since starting this routine: I added in Calcium D-Glucarate and Calcium into my supplement rotation. I had 1 day of pms symptoms and 2 days of fatigue and nothing else! If even one person out there sees this please try this regimen it really works. I used to be stuck in bed in mental agony for 7-14 days every month and now I feel like im 18 again
I used to think I had PMDD but I ended up having low vitamin D and also low ferritin. Have you ever considered doing more videos on ferritin? Low ferritin can really cause a lot of symptoms, especially for women.
Low ferritin is low stores of iron in the body, not the circulating iron, as I understand it. I had this. I get very heavy periods. I now take iron during and after. But I've still got severe pmdd so will have to try this!
I had low iron and realised my PMDD was very severe when I had anemia. I was asked to take primrose oil supplements and iron supplements. But the moment you stop the prim rose it shot up again.
My husband, sister, and mom get very upset when I try to help them. All they do is complain about their health and weight but don't like to take advice

That's amazing. I'm going to try this as well. I've been miserable from these symptoms 😫
How long shall you take the vitamin D ? I think i got bone pain in my fingers from it
I'm so pleased. I'm full of fear. Crying. Don't know how I'm going to get through work today. Luckily working from home and in bed! I need some help.
How much did you take for both ?
I can't wait to try these things. It scares me how out of control my emotions are before my menstrual cycle. Feel exhausted and suicidal. The rest of the month I'm fine. As a person with faith, it really bothers me that I don't seem to have any control over my emotions. Thank you for posting this video. I'm positive that your advice will be beneficial, it always is.
But he gaslighted everyone with pmdd. Why is everyone praising him?
I have the exact same symptoms! Good to know im not alone

Wow, 10 days, I am sorry to hear about this! May God be gracious to you and I hope these changes will help you :) I too plan to try them.
I am the same. It's a scary time. Have you started this and has it helped you?
Great advice. When I stopped doing dairy, my PMS issues got better by 80%. Vitamin D was life changing as well.
@@user-lh4lf7vu2b its an hormonal problem! What do you think causes it?
How long did it take for you to feel better?
Pms is not pmdd.
I’m dairy free and take Vit D. It has no effect on my debilitating PMDD. PMS is a breeze compared to PMDD
You are the first person to ever explain these symptoms I’ve been having after my third child. And every doctor or document would say it’s an estrogenic issue… but I never had estrogen dominance. It was exactly what you said it was! And dairy products would throw it off even more!!!
Man! And I JUST bought plain homemade-type yogurt yday. For my digestion. Sigh.
Thankfully it's a small one
Whatever I don’t eat dairy and still these things happen.
@@radioog6945 check out the Dairy food pyramid. Sometimes it can be sneaked in your food. Like Pizza ect all kinds of foods it can get that deep.

Ive mostly been taking high strength vitamin d and evening primrose oil too.
Can you please share some of your symptoms of PMDD?

My symptoms started 10 days before my period like clockwork, I had bad period pain, back pain, breast pain, severe anger and depression, OCD symptoms, severe anxiety, sore gums… the list goes on. Hell week haha exactly! I wish more people understood the pain. I literally have to plan around it and when a friend tries to make a plan during this time I’m like hell no! Ask me when the week is over and it’ll be a hell yes!

Things that I have found make my PMDD worse:
1. Caffeine
2. Dairy - Cheese etc
3. Lack of sleep
4. Stress
And its particularly bad if these things build up through the month before my period. oh boy watch out.
I will report back to you if it helps, and YOU have officially given me hope.
update?
It worked! It took less than a month and I feel so much better. Thank you!
Great. Glad this helped. Thanks for the feedback.
Started yesterday. Excited to solve this problem!
Im the same, plus raging moods ( i have to cancel social events and lock myself away) and simply feel dreadful...are u any better?
I suffer from undiagnosed PMDD - only have one good week a month.
The rest of the time I'm crying and feeling depressed, mood swings, dark thoughts - it's hard to live like this.
Had PMS for the past 5 years, but it's exacerbated in the last year.
Ordered all of these products and will update you once I start taking them.
Sorry to hear that. Hope the info I shared here will help you.
Thank you, I've thought the same. If symptoms are predicable according to one's cycle, seems like it's more of a medical one vs. a mental one even if the manifestation is mental. Thank you for these suggestions!
that's the thing, it seems like a physical hormonal disorder that causes mental symptoms
Gonna try this! I was just on my Facebook PMDD group and saw someone mention you.
I hopped on there because i'm having a super hard time today dealing with everything in life.
I am super excited to try this!!
any update ?
Could you recommend the brand and where you buy it?
@@dianasmaria in my case it was an Estonian one, but basically you could easily find it online or in most eco shops
@@tatianam4671 Thank you
Ashawaganda helpeod you with PMS?
I suffer from PMDD, severe mood swings, anxiety, paranoia all usually occurring 1 week before my period. I feel like if I didn't know what pmdd was before this video I don't think I would have been like oh ya thats what I have. This video didn't go into detail enough on the symptoms and the hormonal imbalance. I hope you make another video in the future with a little more info. For now I will try your suggestions. I also have found that by tracking my symptoms each month and knowing when they are going to occur has helped a ton and I can recognize that I need to have more self awareness and self care that week.
You might also look at the info with Progestelle progesterone... that guy has videos on youtube somewhere about balancing hormones.
Wait till you have irregular menstrual cycle plus PMDD. 😓🤬(amenorrhea)
Did you have to get in hormones after your hysterectomy?
@@Blessednesting No, because they left my ovaries so synthetic hormones weren't necessary.
How is it that a partial hysterectomy improved your PMS?
@@SeitansDaughter they left my ovaries so I could have my natural hormones
Berg!
Wonderful! Glad to help!
Dr Berg - I am so thankful for this video and to read the amazing testimonials in the comments. I just ordered your DIM and Sea Kelp iodine, I need to have an idea of how much sea kelp to take! Thank you so much- God Bless you!
Omg. I needed this vedio. I WAS DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR ANSWERS. THANK YOU. I HAVE TERRIBLE DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY
I am so grateful for so many of your videos Dr. Berg. I am post menopausal, but I shared this with many ladies I know who suffer so much before and during this time of the month. God bless you for your wisdom.
This is my ex-husband who was diagnosed ASPD recently, but diagnosed Bipolar as a teen. Thanks for the information!
I cured my pmdd after just two weeks of clean keto and intermittent fasting. 2 years of depression and strained relationships with my close ones because of the symptoms, now I am finally free! Thanks Dr Berg
That's amazing! Dr. Berg would love to hear about your success with Keto! Please use this link to upload your story: www.drberg.com/add-client-success-story

There is no proof that pmdd is curable
What’s funny is I tried keto and it actually caused me to be even more emotional around my period. It was a nightmare 😢
@@Blessednesting I think you did something wrong or did dirty keto. I was very strict
@@Oogaini so it was actually a low calorie diet that was like keto but not exactly keto. That’s probably why.
This has been debilitating me for years. I recently found out about the DIM but just ordered the vitamin D and Sea Kelp supplements. Thank you for giving us this information.
Did it help??
Dr berg , I hope you read this , I attempted to “unlive” myself yesterday , all because of PMDD , and I am so happy to find that you are talking about it after all doors closed , I’m taking SSRI’s , I can’t take birth control (since my family have a big history of cancer) , really thank you so so much for the video , I’ll try your advices !
PRAYING for YOU!
@@jg4939 thank you 🙏
I hope you are doing well. May God bless you, Salma. ❤️
Did you try it ? It worked ??
@@sharonhenschke1354 thank you so so much , I hope you are too ! ❤️
I have this, it wrecks my life every month. When I was on birth control, it was 100% worst
Amazing. Wishing you good health!
Thanks for the update. Just wondering if we should take these just after ovulation and stop after we get our period?
@@lauravaldez3829That’s awesome. I’m going to try this too as of today. I hope it keeps working for you 💐
Okay, so I started taking these almost a month ago, right after my last cycle when my PMDD was maybe the worst I've had.
What vitamins did you take and are you still taking them
I haven't started this yet, just found the video, but I think it'd make sense if it helps anxiety if it's mainly from the pmdd
I'm so glad this helped you :D I'm going to start this
Omg, that is what i am going through, i thought it's PMS, but then why i feel depressed and so extremely emotional, feeling like giving up, i did not know,
you really are a Doctor, with a capital letter☺ can't thank you enough🏆💯
Ditching dairy has transformed my life. No more painful cycles or migraines. Estrogen formula by Dr. Berg is a must.
The DIM?
This is the first month I've done keto without cheating. I've really stayed with it. I've had PMDD since I got my Merena IUD almost 4 yrs ago (was talked into it as opposed to the copper kind without synthetic hormones). This was the first month I wasn't a hurricane of emotions with severe menstrual cramps. I think all the cruciferous vegetables I'm eating have helped too! This has been just one of the many positive side effects of keo. Thank u so much Dr. Berg!
That's wonderful news, Mandy!
I don't think you can be in love w feeling suicidal
Or maybe it's their identity. They would feel lost without it.
The supplements you suggested were such a huge help ! No cramping , good moods, ample energy and sound sleep 🎉 I cannot thank you enough Dr Berg ( some info abt me, I am almost 47 been suffering from crippling perimenopause symptoms since I tuned 40 my main issues were severe mood problems
and uterine cramps)
Hello, do we have to continue these indefinitely?
I was Keto for 18 months. Physically active, fit, healthy, sleeping, off drugs. At first it helped the luteal phase. However, after a few months the luteal phase stood out even more to me. Because I felt so clear headed and grounded in the follicular phase, it highlighted that my PMDD is very severe. I hope Keto can work for some of you, even temporarily, but I had to go on SSRI's to save my life. I hate the side effects but I was close to suicide many times. Just be careful and don't feel bad if this doesn't work for you - try many things to see what is best for your body.
Can't you do both, SSRI and Keto?
I just found out I had this disorder today. I didn’t know what the hell was wrong with me, I thought I was going insane!
Dr. Berg, 😊 thank you. I was bracing for how to lessen the symptoms and your suggestions sound like something I can really do!!!
Wow! I wish I had this information way back then...
Can always share this with others!!
Thank you for valuable information 🙏
The medical industry along with the pharmaceutical industry really does women a disservice.
Thank you doctor.. Many days searching for the remedy abt this. Finally u gave it. Thanks again
Thank you ❤
second update, second pms cycle since starting this routine: I added in Calcium D-Glucarate and Calcium into my supplement rotation.

What’s ferritin and what are symptoms of low ferritin
This is interesting thx
@@Ohkeh640 I googled & it’s said low-iron/ anemia
Low ferritin is low stores of iron in the body, not the circulating iron, as I understand it.
I had this. I get very heavy periods. I now take iron during and after.
But I've still got severe pmdd so will have to try this!
I had low iron and realised my PMDD was very severe when I had anemia. I was asked to take primrose oil supplements and iron supplements. But the moment you stop the prim rose it shot up again.
My husband, sister, and mom get very upset when I try to help them. All they do is complain about their health and weight but don't like to take advice
