    So you recently modified your Ender 5 to coreXY and had cooling issues I don’t know if you fixed them yet but I would recommend to install air guides on your print head like 247 printing or use a turbine like MirageC on his hevort and is used on the FLSUN s1

      I haven’t fixed them just yet, but I’m certain they will be soon. The plan is do to do exactly what you suggest. I’m looking into getting a cpap setup (like the S1’s & Hevort’s installation) from bigtreetech, that should solve all of the issues. I’ll try and get everything finalised in September for November. Cheers

    is it restricted on size of scanned objects? or i can scan like a real car with it?

    • @TommyHoughton
      @TommyHoughton  2 месяца назад

      Yes, it's does have a limitation, although It should be easily possible to combine exported 3D scans to make a larger model. 3DMakerPro advertises a max scan size of up to 1500mm, so scanning a whole car won't be possible, but individual areas would be fine. It would be difficult without adequate trackers and making sure there are no reflections though. Cheers

    is it true that the iphone 15 pro max would be good enough to 3d scan?

    • @TommyHoughton
      @TommyHoughton  6 месяцев назад +1

      I’ve heard it can certainly 3D Scan, I believe any iPhone after the 12 Pro (with the Lidar sensor) can 3D scan somewhat, but results will not be the same as a proper scanner. I’m not too experienced with this side of scanning so I can’t offer too much info. There’s a couple of well put together videos comparing the two online. Cheers

    Scanning…

    Don't buy this thing. This is not a HANDHELD scanner. It only works with the turn table

    • @TommyHoughton
      @TommyHoughton  4 месяца назад

      While the turntable helps with tracking, I wouldn’t say it’s unusable without it. It’s useful for mid-small coloured models, but using it handheld for larger objects like the motorcycle fairing is not optimal unfortunately. Cheers

      @@TommyHoughton The worst thing about this scanner is the advertisement. It is been advertised to feature AI Visual Tracking but there is no possible wat to have that tech in it.
      I tested it several times and I am sure there is no such tech in this device.

    • @TommyHoughton
      @TommyHoughton  4 месяца назад

      @@machinistnick AI features are almost always a (cheap) gimmick, you’re right on that. The most it contains is some basic algorithm or whatever software is used, nothing extraordinary.
