No. He does not outshine Il Maestro. But he was very good indeed in his early years. Been an avid follower since his younger days..Pavarotti tugs at the heart, Cura does not.

@@GINA6063 He is Spanish by jus sanguinis, born in Argentina. He was educated in one of the most demanding opera schools in the world, the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón, where my own father studied years ago. I can witness the excellent quality of the artists formed there.

Outstanding performance by Jose Cura. I'm not saying he is Pavarotti but her is the closest I have heard. Wonderful tone and timber to his voice with great control and compeered to other tenors I have heard he has flawless diction.

Muchas veces en programas de TV tales como este se les pide a los artistas hacer playback, le ha pasado incluso a los grandes y no es que no sean capaces de hacerlo o algo similar, si no que es una exigencia para ellos hacerlo debido a las circunstancias.
Las televisoras tendrían que tener personal especializado para adecuar el equipo de sonido como debe de ser. Probablemente asi se ahorran tiempo y dinero.
No siendo fan de José Cura, aquí me ha emocionado. Su voz rozaba ,"le stelle."
Los que dicen que esta haciendo playback o lypsinc, no creen que los de hasta adelante se habrían dado cuenta y aparte nunca han visto como tiene retraso la voz con el audio en esos tipo de eventos con micrófono? Xd
Play black desde los 10 años que escucho opera y playback con medio tono mas bajo de lo.que corresponde. ¿Los de adelante?...de opera entienden como.yo de vuelos espaciales...

José Cura maravilhoso, como sempre. Pena que a direção de tv foi péssima e não captou o rosto dele no ápice da interpretação da música. O diretor nunca deve ter escutado essa música antes.

some potential. But hearing him several years
later on youtube extremely poor technique
and almost a ruined voice. I am very
familiar with bel canto and its solid breathing
technique I practice it almost everyday.
In opera one must protect the vocal chords
and not sing roles they are not suited to.
This creates the wobble and if you do not
use the diaphragm and anchor correctly you
will not have a long career. The above singers mentioned used bel canto, Pavarotti, etc.
Del Monaco did not lose his voice I was
talking about Jose Cura. The operatic
tenors of yesteryear were magnifcent.
+mildred grossman Mario Del Monaco over sang in his career and did Melocchi excercises and that shortened his career.
