RIP David. Many, many hours of enjoyment listening to you with one live concert that was awesome! Who is the guitarist playing with David here?

Some Selmers are really cool.I am no expert but i am now playing(practicing) with a Yamaha YAS-475 (ALTO),...Dukoff D8......I try but i don't fly .....I am using Sanborn's sound to keep in tune with my Tinnitus....lol...Love this guy especially on CLOSE UP album.

Selmer is a very nice sax. Thats what our friend David plays! I play a Yamaha, but I wouldn't suggest getting it if you're looking for a pro sax. I would get a Selmer, they sound really nice AND a lot of pros use them.

I have a Yamaha custom Z pro Alto black lacquer . They are one of the most consistent brands on the market for playability and sound project EVEN the intermediate models. I'll take a cheap Yamaha over a pro selmer .

Yeah his mouth piece looks nice. I've had the great honor of meeting him twice, and got a five minute Saxophone lecture one time. He plays top brand of Sax. And I have looked up his mouthpiece before. He doesn't play with anything less than the best. Nice man. You play the sax?

Is it safe to assume that the mouthpiece
      that the late-great Dave Sanborn
was also a Selmer (metal in lieu of plastic).... 🤔

marcus miller and his bass put his signature stamp on the songs he writes for David and no other player can replicate it

@@Jason5818UI I don't think it is Marcus Miller (this player has a different face). But also good!

@MrRitzema I meant the studio version.. Marcus wrote ..played bass and produced this and many other songs for David sanborn

@@Jason5818UI It is Richard Patterson on bass... Played with everyone including Miles...

@milesdust3465 I said the original studio version Marcus wrote and played bass on ...not the live performance...yeah ...Marcus played with Miles too in the early 80s..later produced Tutu and Amandla album writing the majority of the songs.
