As of today it doesn't use Navmesh on the infinite terrains, you must use a pinned or stored terrain which restricts the size of your openworld significantly due to performance. I've asked MM team to add feature for Runtime Navmesh generation.....hope he does this.
This one is very good, 5 starts asset no doubt. Once you learn how it work and how to use it following the tutorials provided by the author, you will end up creating really good terrains in a few weeks. One thing that i really love from this asset is that the package is very clean it dont destroy your project like other world generators out there for unity, and its very fast aswell, very easy to tweek and try diferent settings and all. I only use it for like 2 weeks once a year ago from a pirated version, becouse i wanted to see how good it is, and believe me, if i have the money to buy it i whould probably the best terrain tool i have seen so far.
Hi guys, well I am not saying that MM is not right but it is very messy and makes you too dependent on its plugins. For this you can use TYLER, it does the same, a thousand times easier and works directly with unity. I spent 6 months wasting my time with MM, and in the end I solved my problems in a week with the other. So, a lot of MapMagic but little to be able to make a project in conditions.
@Roar Roon Why? if you have paid for the asset then there is nothing to be shame about. You pay with money or you pay with time, but making a game is not easy at all specially a good game, many things can fail and make your effort and money worthless and go to garbaje. Even using free assets i will not feel guilty, instead i will lower my spectations on how much attention or money will i get from that project. The only thing that ashames me is using pirated tools and assets, i download those from time to time, just by curiosity mostly and to learn more, but anytime i think that i may use a tool or anything ilegaly obtained and that no one will even know of it, then i really feel shame and end thinking that will be better to work more or use free stuff instead of steal others work. As i said, if you paid for it, you have the right to use it. After all in game making industry the budget of a project is something very important that will determine how much effort you can buy and equipments.

RobosergTV 2 years old an you bother to reply lol? My points was that it‘s so easy slapping some assets together and claiming you made a game. When using Windows or a game engine, you never claimed you made it, but with art assets or a stupid FPS kit the game is already made for you and you just sit there tweaking 2 variables, claiming you made a video game. Now sometimes, you can‘t make absolutely everything yourself and in those cases I‘d say it‘s fine. It‘s just my personal opinion.
@@roarroon1666 I agree if you talk about game kits, but not when you talk about fundamental, artistic tools like Map Magic, its doesnt allow you, as you say, tweaking 2 variables and have a game. MM makes 3D terrians, nothing more. Its like saying dont use 3DS max for modeling.
