Awesome! I am 52 years old and dreamed exactly 14 years to the scenes I've seen here. In 1976 there was not even able to think of something. And I swear to all that I dreamed exatemente with it. Never forget seeing these scenes and today I am reviewing my dreams.
I love it. Nice to see energy put towards something positive like mad made waves.
No wory about lack of swell, crowds, sharks, winds, sharp reefs.
The world need more of this, big time.
I grew up in this city. Beautiful Al Ain. My home was about 3 km from Ain Al Fayda....where this water park is located close to. Love UAE. 😘😘😁

Actually at this moment they can only produce waves up to 1.8m as one of the pumps is not working. I am there frequent visitor since 2014 and I can tell that it's fun and waves are consistent comparing the ocean, however it is pain in a$$ to get booking for weekend because they allow advance bookings for 2 months. Still it is one of the kind experiences especially if you book last session 7 PM-8 PM. Moon over the mountain in desert and you'r surfing.

If you prefer drinking, smoking and carousing, then every place could bet lame quickly.
I started going to wadi adventure from last summer, Although i know that there are no waves like that in the UAE but here Wadi Adventure there is. I got so addicted to Wadi Adventure!!
nothing compares to the real thing. looking at the beautiful green mountains in Hawaii and feeling the spirit of Aloha

Wish they could make home versions of this. Living in Western NY sucks. The only time Lake Ontario gets waves in when winter hits, but their to icy to surf.

Kiddie waves!! I surf Peahi (JAWS) off the North shore of Maui (where I live).. Looks fun, but I prefer the 25 footers and in the winter 40 to 50 foot waves.

No not necessarily, Antarctica is a desert but its definitely not hot there. Desert means dry not hot. And yes Antarctica is a desert because it receives almost no rain throughout the year.

Interesting, Kelly Slater's Wave Pond really just made all these wave parks obsolete. These are just a wedge and a small wall.
Tho i prefer natural waves and being arround with nature, i understand the need to create this artificial wave parks, many contries dont have the sea nearby like i do and surfing is just one of the best feeling ever.

Also, they need to complement this design with a jetty/coral reef combo with an overhead balcony as a backdrop and a walk-around path, so people can trip out the surfing experience from any possible angle. And paint the coolest art with color fading shades from sand (the dubai color) to dark blue/green.

It beats no waves but I see a future coming in ten years per say their will be NO MORE OCEANS, to explore and the real reason we chase waves endlessly. Future is the future, I would rather be in the Ocean. Thanks for sharing though.
