Any time I’m in $ tree I pick up everything for a complete protein focused meal - beans/rice/broth, oatmeal/coffee, etc - and put on our small community blessing box, free for the taking. I notice these items are always taken first. Yes, you may get better deals at the grocery, but a grocery bill is so big, I find it’s more palatable to just add $4-5 to a $ tree run = I am more consistently giving versus just my grocery gifts @ holidays. Encouraging those who can to consider helping their community- every little bit helps and may ensure someone has eaten that day. Thank you for your work and videos!

Love the yellow and white gingham dress! So bright and cute! We never have the things at our Dollar Tree I see people picking up in their videos. Just an idea, I've found that going to the Mexican grocery stores has some good things. I got a good grinder and cast iron tortilla maker there! They have all kinds of tortilla bowls, to keep them warm, and other dishes, large pots! Hobby Lobby is my store! If I had money, they would never have to worry about business! 😄

I like chickens but at one time I had so many I had to choose my few favorite and sent the rest to charity. We had 127 chickens when I was young Henrietta was my 🐥. She was the 1st. I asked my grandson if he wanted a pet chicken. He said yum barbecue chicken. I loved the horse stuff in your video. We only have 1 left. She's 22 yrs old. I always love your videos. The first thrift store you went to, you showed some rugs; thinking outside the box; those particular rugs work great as countertop hot pads to protect the counter when canning, etc.

I didn’t realise that long life milk wasn’t a thing in the USA - its very common in Australia and i regularly buy the ‘specialty’ milk in long life form so i have it on hand without risking it going bad in the fridge.
I always have the milk on my shelves also. If I’m using it up, I either mix it in with the last of a gallon for drinking (disguises the flavor 😊) or cook up some Mac and cheese with it.

My "hopes and dreams" is to learn how to make my own scrubs. I always appreciate when you say you are "growing in your skills". I have a never before used sewing machine in my basement someone gave to us staring at me. I am so inspired when you show us all the homesteading skills over the years you have learned it is a great source of inspiration. Especially getting over the initial hurdle of starting. I would suggest going to dollar tree first for party decorations and party favors. You can do a lot with a dollar tree birthday.
