As a Mexican I'm not offended not even a lil. He was hilarious! One of my favorite comedies growing up. "Have you ever had feelings for a nun?"😂
Same! Our fam loves this movie! 😁
Yup don’t know any Mexican that doesn’t adore this movie🇲🇽 🤎
We Latinos don’t get offended when play by white or black actors, it’s just the democrats and woke culture use that to promote racisms here in America.
He's actually not making fun of us! Which is cool lol it's not funny because "the Mexican accent sounds stupid harharhar". It's funny because Jack Black sounds stupid doing this as a white guy. This movie has such a big heart that there's no way there's I'll intent behind it. I'm Mexican and my dad and I used to have a lot of laughs with this one.
Ah thanks everyone for all the likes😂 but yeh his take on it just feels super genuine if that makes sense lol
Nacho Libre is inspired on a real person: Sergio Gutiérrez Benítez, aka "Fray Tormenta" (Fray Storm), who was a Mexican teacher and priest who enter Lucha Libre to help the kids at his orphanage :)
I didn’t know that! Thank you for the info.
damn first i learn Rames is really Silver king and now nacho is based on someone too?
Additional fact, one of his rivals found out his identity, and threatened to expose him if he didn't quit wrestling. He agreed on the condition that his rival donate the equivalent of what he got paid to the orphanage.... His rival never said a word and he continued to wrestle.
This just made the movie even better.
Lucha libre
Nacho libre and Napoleon Dynamite were my favorite movies growing up. Then I found out years later they were both directed by the same person. And you can totally feel the similarities between movies. I think they’re the only two movies where i genuinely felt sad when they ended, because the worlds and characters feel like a real place that we were just lucky to live in for a moment. I have to watch the rest of Jared Hess’s movies.
If you haven't seen Gentlemen Broncos or Don Verdean, they are fantastic Hess movies! Both also have Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords.
Facts
Mine too and Borat
Oh snap! Do you mess with Wes Anderson? He's like Jared Hess for the upper middle class
@@StreetHierarchy Love Wes Anderson. Similar to Hess, but definitely steps above for me. From Tenenbaums and Life Aquatic, then to do movies like Fantastic Mr. Fox and Isle of Dogs, Wes is so versatile as a director!
The way this was filmed was very reminiscent of 60's and 70's Mexican cinema... for that reason alone it's one of my favorites. Also back then in Mexico, the action stars in movies were the actual luchadores you'd see in the ring. Blue Demon was a big deal and is very important to Mexican cinema history and Lucha Libre.
Love the old Mexico feel in this movie
I love that you brought this up! It was never offensive to me, it was more of a homage to a type of culture that not many know of and Jared Hess pulled it off in such a way that the film is a classic in my books and it’s in my top 25 films
The ending always gets me all worked up and emotional, the music playing when Nacho's girl and the orphans come to cheer him on and he finally gets his eagle powers. 😭👏👏
And the old man his number 1 fan cheerin ppl on to say NACHO NACHO! didn't notice till 5th time watching lol
I tear up everytime lol
I am I am!
@@dallymoo7816 that old man was freaking adorable, he never gave up on nacho 🥺
I do have a headcanon/theory that the old man used to be a luchador in his younger days, a wrestler who had so much passion for wrestling, someone who was so strong and never lost a fight. Then one day he actually did lost to a much stronger wrestler, it affected him so much that he quit wrestling and never wanted anything to do with it anymore. That is until in present time when he saw Nacho for the first time, seeing Nacho optimism and not giving up so easily not only it reminded of him in his young years but it also slowly makes him enjoy wrestling again and becomes Nacho’s number one fan. That is just my own headcanon/theory 😊
But yea, that old man admired Nacho’s passion for wrestling so much that no matter how much nacho lost, he still didn’t gave up on nacho.
@firemiracle I heard somewhere that the old man represented God, and that he's been cheering nacho on since the beginning
I honestly think that Jack Black is still very underrated. He always gives 100% on his acting and he's a unique actor that can nail characters most actors couldn't. To me, he's a top comedic actor the same level as Jim Carrey. He's also a talented musician/songwriter.
Same bro haha
Much better than creepy Epstein client Jim Carrey
Nacho, School of Rock, Tenacious D, all great.
I know you have knowledge on American Wrestling, but if you didn't know, Ramses was portrayed by César Cuauhtémoc González Barrón a.k.a. "Silver King", a professional Mexican Luchador who also was the third wrestler to don the title "Black Tiger" in New Japan Pro Wrestling(NJPW).
Interesting that he's known as "Silver King" in the real world then they give him a golden mask in the movie. Like they wanna be clear to differentiate the real and fictional wrestlers because wrestler personas are so important. Pretty respectful to the guy playing the villain, if you ask me.
Rip Silver King L.W.O. por Vida!!!!
There’s a good little match with Silver King and Eddie Guerrero from the WCW days. I think it’s like a tight 6 minutes. Silver King could move!
@@cripplermaximus ruclips.net/video/Wzvy8I3N6bo/видео.html If this is the fight you're referring to, you're absolutely 💯% right! Silver King is like a giant ninja! Doing flips and all kinds of feats that are so much faster than what looks like his body is capable of. Dude was in fast forward at some points!
Edit: Like was said earlier by others, RIP 🙏 Silver King. ❤
@@LilTechCricket I can see it go either way, considering like El Santo and Azul Demon, etc. used to do movies in their normal mask.
This has to be one of the most quotable movies of all time😂 my family was obsessed with it when I was young, but I still know every single line in this movie and I haven’t seen it in probably over a decade😂
I had to check to see if you were my son Jacob when I read this. 🤣🤣 This is something he would say. I did dress him up as Nacho for Halloween with a brown sweater I had. 🤣😂🤣 we watched this all the time in our house.
Nachooooooooooooo!! 🤣
Haha same here brother
Don't you want a taste of the good life? See how it tastes!!
GET THAT CORN OUTTA MY FACE!!!
To this day, I still quote this movie almost on a weekly basis 😂 my go to when some is acting a fool is “HEY! Wont ‘chu take it easy?” 😂
"Sometimes men, we like to wear stretchy pants."
Get that corn outta my face!
Do you not realize I have had diarrhea since Easters?
“I wanna Weeeeiiin!!!”
"I hwanna hweein! " edit: someone beat me to it
I’m 1st gen Mexican-American and my family quotes this movie soooooo much 😂 it always makes us laugh so hard
I love Nacho Libre! “GET THAT CORN OUTTA MY FACE!!” Haha. Thanks for reacting.
Best line for sure!
Definitely my favorite line 🤣
that was the best line ever
You disrespected me. You disrespected my corn. And now, chu gonna pay.
@@juliuskubin6701 I don’t know, I still love “I just need to borrow some sweats.”
Another classic! You're on a roll. This movie is interesting bcuz clean humor done well is always amazing.
Agree!
Yeah I can watch this with daughter and it also teahes about morals in the bible etc and that's cool
My brother and I quoting this movie and laughing our asses off, practically recreating the entire movie
Faxx broo my family used to get mad cuz i would literally say every line😂 its impossible not to
You gotta do "School of Rock" next. All of Jack Black is amazing. - And you're so right, this is super similar to Napoleon Dynamite, you Napoleon Dynamite video is probably my favourite reaction you've done. I would love for you to do some more underdog movies.
School of Rock is a favorite of mine. Pulls at the heart strings.
I was thinking of 'The Rocker' ...with the mope-y teen lead. That movie was hilarious minus that kid...
But yeah, School of Rock, was great
Named my dog Chancho because I love this movie!! Great choice Leo! ❤️
Awww I'll name my next pet Chancho too. (Or Chanchito)
Awww my family named our Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix Chancho! He passed away 2 months ago at 16 years, an absolute champ and best friend to the very end 💜
You had me dying at the Anacandaaaa Sqeeeeeeze 🤣🤣
I always said “Anaconda Squeeeeze!” When I hugged my wife and she thought it was just a cute thing until she said it at work and everyone said it with her 😂😂 she was soo confused never had seen the movie
"Cob to the eye make ya die" Words to live by... Couple of my cousins were tag team wresting twins in their 20's. It might be a show but it is quite real and people can and will get seriously hurt.
i saw a video of a match that took place in mexico where a dude died in the ring. it was a freak accident. nobody could of seen it happen. people do get hurt.
@@wonder777warrior6Was that the one against Rey Mysterio?
@@wonder777warrior6that wrestler was Hijo del perro Aguayo
You should watch the movie "The Wrestler", starring Mickey Rourke. It's kind of a sleeper film, but you would like it I think. Nit-Wit!
Another great Jack Black movie that is underrated is Envy. He stars with Ben Stiller. Doesn't get the love it deserves.
I love the first 45 minutes/ hour then I just can't really keep watching it!
VA-POO-RIZE 😆🤣😂😉👍
I think I still have my Nacho keychain from when the movie came to dvd. but being able to see you react to this underrated gem got me to laugh all over again. "The eggs were a lie, Steven... a lie!" 😂😂😂
Honestly, I love this movie. I can watch this movie multiple times and never gets old. It always brings a smile on my face.
The kid playing chancho moved to my middle school the summer this movie came out. He was picked on a lot. Everyone asking him for sweats lmao. It was sad looking back and it reminds me of it everytime I watch this movie. Still one of my favorites.
"Choncho can I borrow some sweats!?" Lmfaoo I would have been the worst
I wonder if he still gets recognized from the movie. The word is spelled "chancho" btw and it means pig. It's a common nickname used on overweight people sadly.
@@Rockypf2 ….he probably doesn’t weigh as much anymore 😋
@@thepoeticbutcher3370 he doesn’t , he goes to my gym and he’s hella In shape
Noooooo I am deeply saddened by this. He looked like my older brother when we were kids :(
Honestly?? As a Christian, I love the way this movie handled the topic of Nacho’s faith. There’s an honest-to-goodness biblical lesson to be had here about how God can use a gift or passion that seems counterintuitive. 😆
Ser bueno no debe ser por una religión debe ser porque es lo correcto conozco gente que no cree en dios y son buenas personas y gente religiosa que es horrible
Being good should not be because of a religion, it should be because it is the right thing to do. I know people who do not believe in God and they are good people and religious people who are horrible.
Better than Napoleon Dynamite. This movie is criminally underrated and I still can’t believe Nickelodeon Studios produced such a funny movie.
I didn't know it was from Nickelodeon, I thought it was a movie from a big studio. 😮
it really sucks when we have bad days sometimes we need movies like this to lift our sprits up
Yeah and maybe if people who wanted to hurt other people just took a chill pill and watched this they would realize how wrong they are.. but alas they are too uptight and insane to calm down
@@dallymoo7816 yes to right take of your self
Nacho Libre plays in the background everyday. It’s my favorite movie. NUCLEUS.
It gave me no powers. .. It gave me no NUTRIENTS.
@@samwallaceart288 Sorry… 🤣🤣🤣🤣
OMG OMG OMG!!!
My ultimate favorite movie 🍿!! I quote this movie 4 time's a day. "Get that corn out of my face"
This is one of the funniest films of all time! It’s just so strange, awkward and random. It’s absolutely brilliant! The old man death, the corn, the beehive, the sweats, the butt squeeze, etc.
Remember this movie making me cry as a kid I think it was on a roadtrip watching it on a 20 dollar thrift store dvd player. Back when a Nintendo DS and some DVDs is all we needed for a 4 hour trip lol. Back when everything wasn't on your phone walking into a gas station on the way hoping there was some movies on sale for your parents to buy you on the trip I miss those days.
The most abrupt baptism ever committed to film, I died laughing!🤣
That underwear-over-the-head maneuver he did after getting unmasked is what I call "Montezuma's Atomic Revenge"... or a "Teotihuacán Tug Job"... or a "Aztec Super Wedgy"... or a "Tijuana Thong Song"... or a 'Guadalajara Grab & Pull"... or a "Yucatan Iguana Skinning"... or "Juarez Bowtie"... or a "Mayan Doomsday Hood".
VIVA ES SENOR VIDEO! :)
I love the way Jack Black makes you laugh. You laughed pretty hard at him in Jumanji too. I have watched this reaction 5 times now and I have tears in eyes from laughing so hard. You're the best Leo. 👌 🤣🤣
When I was little I just thought this movie was silly and funny. Whenever I watch it now as an adult and the sister comes in with the children during the last fight to remind Nacho what he’s fighting for, man I always start crying.
An underrated movie for sure, I’m glad you liked it
Amazing film! So fuuuny......my friend was in prison for 9 months in 2009....just by chance, he went to a movie when he got out, didn’t really care which one, but his one was it....and now, 13 years later, it still means a lot to him this movie--but even w/o all those kinds circumstances, ...it’s just a great movie, good f’n times
This movie came out on my 13th birthday and the next day I was to go down to Sinaloa, Mexico to spend time with some family but this was the first time I was going without my mother and brothers.
I was really anxious but this movie really helped me out by just making my trip seem like it was just another great time to have
There's a movie starring Micky Rourke called The Wrestler , that you might like. It's nothing like this movie. It shows how hard the life of a wrestler is.
I love nacho libre... Thanks for reacting to this.
Ps: Bret Hart didn't die in the ring... It was his brother Owen Hart
@9:23 🤣🤣🤣 I remember watching that scene the first time, I was dead💀love the reaction! Can you please react to Drillbit Taylor?? Very underrated and hilarious movie!
Love from Texas Leo❤
This is a very funny movie!😄 Shallow Hall next! That's my favorite Jack Black movie
Yes! Nobody reacts to this classic gem of a film and I’m glad you did. I think I requested this is a pretty recent video too after seeing your Napoleon dynamite reaction and somehow thought about this movie haha. Still waiting on the reaction to bad Santa 1 and 2 even if it’s not around Christmas time, those movies need to be watched when your down or having a shitty day and need some laughs😆
My dad loves this movie! He says it actually gets funnier the more you watch it.
We have a family tradition to watch Nacho Libre every Christmas. I was waiting for your reaction to this one. My expectations were high, and you blew them away. Hopefully this video inspires a bunch more reaction channels to give it a watch.
This movie is dumb in my opinion I don't like it if you want to watch a good Nickelodeon movie you should watch Good Burger.
Another GREAT movie that almost no one has reviewed (because I've looked for it) is Rudy! Rudy is one of the best sports AND inspirational movies ever! I know you love both! PLEASE do yourself and favor, watch RUDY!
Rudy is based on a true story, football, stars Sean Austin (Sam from Lord of the Rings) and is an amazing underdog story, the best one ever for me. I still choke up at the end. Please watch Rudy!
Its a crime they never went through with the sequel, this movies classic, Jack Blacks mexican accent is better than some of my actual Mexican cousins 😂😂
Seeing this movie in the theaters with a bunch of Latinos in the audience was the best! We laughed the hardest every time Nacho farted. Never gets old, I still love this movie over a decade later.
Wrestling is fake and scripted😂 wrestlers don’t go through shit lol
"Get that cornhole outta my face"
Real stuff you gotta react to "Get Him to the Greek". Insanely hilarious
Next Jack Black should be Shallow Hal
Next underdog film should be Rudy (I'm saying this not even being a sports fan!)
Trust me. These are Leo movies
Love Shallow Hal
Have you seen BERNIE? A dark comedy based on true events, directed by Richard Linklater who also did The School of rock. Jack Black is awesome as usual!
This move always been a classic , never underrated
4:50 He's riding a Mex-Am, instead of a Can-Am lmao
This is one of those movies you laughing as soon as the scene comes on because you already know you finna laugh.
My favorite Jack Black movie is shallow Hal. Crack's me up 😆
"You had me at get lost"
"Holy cow"
"What is this chair made of" ?........"steel"
"Is that a Members Only jacket" ?...."what,are you the last member"
Wait what? Bret Hart didn't die in the ring. I think you're confusing him with Owen Hart, and he died due to a harness snapping during an entrance, not in the ring as such
I had to search before I said something
LEO PLEASE WATCH WE'RE THE MILLER'S NEXT🙏🙏🙏🙏 I've been a good little patron member😬😊 I'll cut ya some slack on I CARE ALOT, 🤣 I'm jk
Ultimate bad guy move is to take off the mask because the mask is a symbol of who you are in the ring.
Hope you are doing better? Can’t go wrong with Jack Black
Please react to “A million ways to die in the west” Seth McFarland” I promise you will love it
I've never tapped a video so fast 🤣 I love this movie!
School of Rock is the movie you’re thinking of. Great movie. Also check out Year One. Jack Black is hilarious in Year One.

Owen Hart my dude. RIP. Also, those Rush Hour bloopers were immediately at the end. You must of been quick with the draw to stop the movie.
Yeah, I own the DVD. My son loved this movie as a kid.
It's like an automatic 54,000 dollars earned just stepping in the ring with Mike Tyson, your idea of losing to make money is great until you face an opponent like Tyson
Leo laughing hysterically at jack blacks accent through the movie had me dying. I’ve never laughed so hard for so long in my life!
Jack Black is always fun ❤ Please watch Eurotrip! I tried to watch other reactions to it and didn't find any. You could be first!

Nacho Libre is seriously one of my favorite movies of all time- very underrated. Thanks for reacting to it!!
School of Rock is great but you'll have an impossible time editing around all the music... it won't be a good reaction but I say watch it regardless
Hey bro I really enjoy your reactions I think you are a genuine and hilarious dude. When I'm having a rough day you always make it better thank you for that. I've requested it before but I'll ask again if you wanna be a first to react to an underrated masterpiece, walk hard the Dewey cox story is amazing. If you can't get to it no worries but I promise you'll be glad you watched it.
By the way I swear it's not a porno. It's pretty much a Johnny Cash parody that ended up being 1000 times better than it had any right to. Anyone else who loves it plz help me out with this one.

I’m telling you this. Me and my sister watched the absolute hell out of this movie. And after years passed I learned this actually happen in real life, making it even more amazing. Nickelodeon was its prime back in the day.

This is a banger, surprised to reacted to this😂. Give Night at the Roxbury a shot, I know you love Will Ferrell & no one has reacted to it yet.
The ending still makes me tear up a little, it's a very good movie about self belief and not caring what anyone else thinks.
30:40 cactus is one of the only food/ water sources in a desert for humans. Answer is yes.
The thing is that there is not much to eat in a cactus, they have a woody fiber in the middle, maybe a very tender cactus. I know because I tried to do that for this movie. 😅
I had a 7 ft Goldberg poster above my bed! I LOVED him! He's a good dude, too
In case no one mentioned it, this was made by the same people who made Napoleon Dynamite.

The story behind the commedy is based on "True Events." Of course some events and characters are changed and exagerrated.
Jack Black CAN legit sing. Look up Tenacious D. He has a band and they have been considered one of the greatest and best bands of all time.
