Fun fact for you, MJ: The woman that asked, "what would you know about love?" at the reunion, is the great poet, Maya Angelou. She wrote all the poetry for this movie.
👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Correct me if I'm wrong but was she also the Radio host on "The Warrior's" movie?
I love that they had Maya Angelou in this movie. She’s the one sitting at the table at the reunion asking esha why she didn’t wear a ring.
I read somewhere that she wrote the poems for the movie too 🔥
@@brandon-lavelleShe did she was an phenomenal poet 🔥🔥
The scene where Janet Jackson trips while she's walking away was an accident in real life and the reason why they laughed was because their reaction was genuine, it was Pac who was in character that kept the scene going
Janet’s first movie role ever and she was the headliner along with PAC! Directed by the late great John Singleton. Also , Janet’s first husband Rene’ Elizondo was S.A. at the post office scene. She was also nominated for an academy award for Best Song from a movie with “Again”. She did perform at the ceremony , but lost to Bruce Springsteen for his song from the movie “Philadelphia “.
He was SA’d?
This & Boyz N Da Hood was both Directed by John Singleton. He also did Baby Boy, Higher Learning, 4 Brothers. He also did the show Snowfall on FX.
Talk that shit!!! 🔥🔥 I was about to say.
@@takiablack994 Also Shaft, Rosewood & 2 Fast 2 Furious are a couple more I left out
@@YoungKingCJ I was just thinking that too
@@kenyattatucker1279 Are you randomly mentioning movies??? lol What does coach carter,Get rich,All about the benjamins have to do with John Singelton???
That’s a fact 😊
This is a good movie btw but rest in peace Shakur Tupac💯🙏🏽
RIP to John Singleton the Director who passed away in 2019🙏🏾
RIP Maya Angelou too.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Regina, Janet & Tupac 🔥🔥
MJ: "What is that candy?... Oh, that's not candy." I can't be there only one who thinks that, MJ is one of the most naturally beautiful people in existence. Keep going, Queen. Positive vibes and blessings.
First and foremost, nice reaction.
A few things to point out;
First: @1:25 The bald guy in the movie within the movie(,Deadly Diva,) is Billy Zane, who you may remember from the classic movie, Titanic. And the lady he was talking to and made out with is Lori Petty.
Second: The song you heard when he turns on the CD player is Between The Sheets by The Isley Brothers.
Third: The song you hear after that is Bonita Applebum (Remix) by A Tribe Called Quest.
Fourth: Justice’s first boyfriend, Markell, @2:29, is played by rapper Q-Tip from the rap group, A Tribe Called Quest.
Fifth: @3:22 The tall guy standing by the arcade game is played by Lloyd Avery,(the same guy who killed Ricky in Boyz In The Hood). And the other guy with the hat on playing the video game is his real life brother.
Sixth: Bone is played by rapper Tone Loc.
Seventh and final: The guy named Dexter is played by singer Keith Washington.
Sorry if this comment is too long for you to read but, once again, nice reaction.👍🏾
Telling Maya Angelou to "shut up" is wild lol.
Can Maya Angelou hear me from the grave... Clearly didn't say it in that way 😭
@@MJWITHOUTSPIDERMAN That's whats up big holmes.
if she can hear you, tell her ghost im sorry 🙏
@@MJWITHOUTSPIDERMAN I'll let her know chief.
@@MJWITHOUTSPIDERMANShake the family tree… you may be Puerto Rican and Dominican, but I think there’s some Black in your family. Just saying.
The first scene, dudes at the arcade game with beef, they shot Ricky. (boys in the Hood) many of the same actors. I love this movie and its fun to watch reactions to it. Thank you. 💗
Only the tall one (Lloyd Avery) was in Boyz N The Hood. He's the one who shot Ricky. But let me add to your fun fact: the short one is Ché Avery.. they were brothers.
Yep that is correct 😊😊yep Lloyd was hot and fine ❤❤
"Love Jones" should probably be the next movie you watch. A nice segue.... Also, all of the poetry you heard in the movie is by Maya Angelou, one of the older women you was talking about at the family reunion...
Yes I think she’d loveee Love Jones.
I use to like love jones too
One of those all three ladies that was talking about things is very famous, and she was speaking the truth and she’s a poet she was a civil rights activist. Her name is Maya Angelou, a really great poet.
Johnson Family Vacation a classic movie too
its good to see you becoming more acknowledged on black culture, i’m puerto rican and black and grew up in a more suburban area and my friends would gas me for the same stuff people in the comments gassing you for 😭
@@user-jd5ls1ro9osome of the comments in her reaction says she don't know much about black culture. As she said she's young n she's learning. They need 2 educate n not hate
Black- *American* culture, to wit.
Fun fact:
Ice cube is supposed to play "Lucky" in this film.
I seen an interview where ice cube said that and i was like Thank God 2pac got it LOL
For the record that cheek stroke neck massage deal she did for Pac is exactly how you soothe a man…
Exactly. I feel some folks ain't really had love or romance like that. It's very natural.
The tall guy with the nice features in real life was crazy. Crazy story he’s name was Lloyd Avery II
Yeah this the movie that taught me to keep my nails clean 😂
When I was a teenager. I lived overseas cuz my dad was in the navy.. lived on a base in a duplex. The couple who lived next door. The husband who lived next door. He was a MP (military police). In an incident he got shot 3 times in the head. He survived..
The bigger your platform gets I'd recommend not reading comments, some people literally LIVE to antagonize people, that's their joy in life
Girl that’s Maya Angelou have some respect lol. Just do some research those were her poems Janet was reciting lol
This is a classic man, gotta subscribe now! These older movies are classics and should be shared with many people.
10:10 Aye that's just goes to show you that even hood niggas just wanna chill and watch cartoons at the house, every now and then. It be like that 😂😂😂
This was an awesome experience with you and im a freak for poetry too girl so your not alone lol hope your having a great day!
Listen, as a HUGE MJ fan, I have to say this. Michael Jackson was and is a beautiful man. Janet Jackson will and always be beautiful! Just thought I say😘
The Irony Janet Jackson's Character Justice Sits In A Room Listening To Stevie Wonder's "Never Thought You Leave In Summer", Stevie Wonder Sang That Same Song At Her Brother Michael's Memorial😢
Fun fact Stevie Wonder and The Jackson Family are related
Looking at the scene between Lucky & Dookie makes me very sad. We all know what happened to Pac, but the actor who played Dookie was murdered a year after this movie came out. All I see are two black men that are no longer with us. And both were very talented.
RIP to Pac & Dedrick Gobert (aka V-Dub)
I like the fact that she has never seen Poetic Justice. It makes me smile to see her reaction. Very cute.🥰
I dont really be into people reacting to full on movies but im glued to this video because sum bout you, your really good!
John Singleton (R.I.P.) directed both Boyz n the Hood & Poetic Justice! That's why it's similar actors in both movies! When free, check out his other classic movie Higher Learning
I can’t believe this is your first time. I loved this movie, I remember BET kept playing it over and over.❤😂
You don't get it all but your transparent and honest about it ...I respect that and the videos are ENTERTAINING...and that's the most important thing..salute
damn sometimes I wish I was older so I could witness these movies (and females) in their prime 💀
I love watching your reactions,
I could be having a bad day and watching somehow makes it all better 😅
The bald man in the very beginning plays Cal in Titanic and the woman he’s with plays Kit in a league of their own
Your commentary is entertaining, much respect fam!… keep it up
You should watch Jason's Lyric is a romantic movie so good, and Jada Pickett Smith is in it.
Good reaction. Keep ‘em coming! Found you in my recommended. Subscribed!!!!!!!
This is my absolute favorite John Singleton film.
Aww love 💕 this reaction. A true classic.
When she said sucker for love she made me think of “Do for love “ by Tupac btw Mj if u see this pls listen to the song it’s good fr fr
I could say this movie word for word so funny it came up in my suggestions
Just because a woman has a good relationship with kids doesn’t mean she wants to have kids of her own. Everybody isn’t meant to have kids and everybody got different paths in life. There’s pressure on women to get married and have kids. I got nieces and i have a great relationship with them and I don’t want any children in the present or future. Children/babies are expensive asl and are a big responsibility.
Fun Fact : The one that played Tupac’s baby mother is his high school friend.
You are around my daughter's age but I like your content and commentary on these movies. It's good to see the younger generation watching some of these classics I grew up on. Keep it up!
❤️
First time watching this movie on your reaction it was a good movie little kid in the beginning was so adorable Tupac was an underrated actor every part he played was great thank you for reacting to this movie MJ I enjoyed it 🎥🔥🌙🍿💖
Hispanic people in the Americas are usually about half Indigenous American so they do have a lot of real culture and history unlike europe/spain which just has christianity and broccoli : P
The reason it's the same ppl in it is because it's the same director.
“Leave them hoes 😩”
Lol
Your a Vibe‼️,Watching all the Classics😎❤️😎💪🏾
25:22 he is combing the fade
Thanks for your review of Poetic Justice . By the way , im sure you are aware that regardless of racial self- identity, Puerto Ricans and Dominicans as well as other Caribbean people have at least 21% - 41% African Ancestry which attributes to the features , skintone, and hair of most Caribbean people. Even some language and foods are all examples of Puerto Rican and other ethnic expressions with African origins.
Came here to say this. She should look into her lineage. She very likely has some African Ancestry. You can honestly tell by some of her features.
It's funny when i was younger and i saw this movie I always thought the short dude at the drive end theater wss the rapper eazy e 😅 but now he looks like a short Terrence Howard 😂
You should do Juice another Tupac movie
Fr and Above The Rim
Juice a classic. It was like the first of a string of great Black movies to come out in the 90s.
I can't believe nobody in your comments pointed out Q-Tip playing Markell. Whatchu know about A Tribe Called Quest?
I'm Dominican and Puerto Rican too. We black....lol!
So many PR and DR keep saying they not black and its sad.. Rosie Perez talked about that.
Dominican and Puerto Ricans are not races.
I'm just realizing Maya Angelou was in the movie
Yesssss keep the hood clasics coming pleaseeee❤❤
Too late we as the black delegation already adopted you as one of us 😂
Facts like girl boo besides Puerto Ricans ain't nothing but hispanic niggas n those r my stepdad words who's Puerto Rican

Tales From the Hood was 🔥🔥🔥
@3:33- wasn’t bro in boyz in da hood? Lol why he playing a killer in this movie too?😂
He ended getting killed in prison in real life. Took those characters to serious
You should do Love Jones & Tge Wood. All time favorite 90s movies definitely
Even though you don't know the history right away, it's fine, there are a lot of things in black culture that a lot of black people have yet to know, especially your smooth Chocolate King right here LOL, so in any case, you're good, trust me, I'm still supporting and rooting for you regardless👑
Gotta watch "Juice"and "above the rim" now luv..shyt 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks! Let me say first I love your reactions I have a ball watching them and I hope to continue to see more from you. 🖤💯👍🏾 Now with that said. I would like to request a classic and one of my favorite movies The color purple I would love to see your reaction to this all time classic. Much 🖤 stay 🙏🏾 . ✌🏿 Also I subscribed after I saw your reaction to Boyz in the Hood. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿‼️💯
This movie and JJ reciting Phenomenal Woman set me on a path of writing poetry, falling in love at any opportunity and loving myself more with each heartbreak. I discovered the beauty in the ordinary world around me and ordinary acts of kindness in a world full of walls and heartbreak. Ordinary miracles as phenomenal as the parting of a sea, and heartbroken yet resilient, kind women, just as phenomenal, as me.
The dude at the video game with the gold chain in the beginning of the film is the same actor who killed Ricky in boyz n the hood.
He also got killed in prison 🤦🏾♂️ bro was bible thumping to a satanist
Aye sista. I apologize. i kinda came at you on the boyz n that hood response. The fault lies with me and I apologize. I support what you are doing and you now have me as a subscriber.
This is one of my favorite movies I cnt wait to c how u react to it
Great movie reaction
You're 4'11???
I won't tease you about it, but the temptation is there😂.
The bald headed dude at the very beginning is Billy Zane. He's been in a bunch of good movies over the years. One well known movie he had a supporting role in is Titanic.
A lesser known movie he was in that's one of my favorites is "Demon Knight". It's a horror movie, you should check it out if you like horror stuff. Surprised the hell out of me when it was in theaters. Crowd loved it too.
The woman with him is Lori Petty, been around for a long time, has even done some directing.
Tupac would have had a great acting career if he had lived. He was in Juice, another one of my favorite movies. If you haven't seen it it's a must watch!
Great reaction MJ
First time seeing this too 🔥
The lingo of “capped or popped” means he got shot dead. 8:41
Sheesh u fine🔥. Dope reaction 💯
I love that you want to learn and love your commentary. I would love to learn about your culture and diff cultures too.
A fight at the drive in was common back in the 90s or any event even low rider car shows
I'm new and I love your channel
7:39 that was Janet Jackson's boyfriend (later husband) René Elizondo Jr
And damn did he screw her over 😒
Well mystery solved as far as your ethnicity. Had me guessing for like 10+ videos. Either way keep up the good work. We'll keep watching.
her tellin maya angelou to shut up is wild.😀
Fun fact: the Mexican dude in the mail room with Tupac and the other guy was Janet Jackson's husband well at least at the time when she was married.
OMG..Billy Zane from Titanic! I saw this before; but I don't remember him being in it!
Girl it's a movie 😂
You should do Love Jones next.. the poetry scene with larenz Tate will foreva be fire 🙏🏿
"U cant sneek me from the back like this, hit me from the front" PAUUUSW
My favorite movie glad you enjoyed it
The way you look at every situation makes me like you even more . More females needa think like you
It took me a while before I got my license too. Don’t worry, you’ll get there one day.
Tupac survived 2 shots to the head before he died from the second shooting
what does that have to do with the reaction
She literally said nobody survived a gun shot to the head once you’re shot youre dead
Well since you want to know a few things about black culture The lady at the family reunion doing most of the talking with the hat on is Maya Angelo She's was poet and a civil rights activist
I requested this movie. Also Juice with Tupac/2Pac.
Like your reaction!
Damn MJ without Spider-Man. You really gorgeous. Like your reaction. ❤ from S.A 🇿🇦
As long as she's willing to learn that's all that matters. No need to attack her.
John singleton directed this film..he wrote and directed boyz n the hood
I’m black and Puerto Rican and I’ve seen this movie in the theater back in 1993
Same here!!!
21:47 - DON'T YOU DISRESPECT THEM ELDERS LIKE THAT! YOU'RE 21. I'M ABOUT TO TURN 34! You got to learn about 💙. If you don't, you will be doomed.
But it's her opinion how she feels.
