She was burning the ends of her braids so they don't unravel its synthetic hair so it melts like plastic 😁 and Aunt June was played by Maya Angelou the woman who wrote all the poems in the movie ❤🥰
I love how her wardrobe reflects how she feels through out the movie . At the beginning she's wearing yellow which suggests that she's happy and in a good place in her life . Next she's seen wearing black which shows that she's in mourning and that blue shirt she wears means she's sad and the end she's in white which suggests that she's whole again .
Yes, I absolutely loved that how they used her wardrobe to tell you where she was mentally throughout the film; loved seeing her get her confidence back by the end and really putting in a bigger effort in how she looked.
BOOMERANG is a cult classic with Eddie Murphy, Halle Barry, Martin Lawrence, David Allen Grier, Chris Rock, Robin Givens, Grace Jones. Eartha Kitt & John Witherspoon.
-The guy who was eyeing Justice's boyfriend (rapper QTip) in the beginning, was the one who shot Ricky in Boyz N the Hood. He was murdered in prison by his cellmate. And that was his real brother next to him playing the video game. -The Mexican arguing with 2Pac & Chicago in the mailroom was Janet's real life husband (Rene Elizondo Jr)
@OctoKrool At @10:57, she is burning the end of her braids. Back in the 90s, when black girls got their hair braided with synthetic extensions, they would burn the end of the braid to seal the ends so the braid wouldn't unravel. Nowadays, the braids are sealed differently, but some black girls still burn the end of their braids that way.
Y'all give that shit out to easily. If all it takes is a white guy to watch a bunch of black movies then my ex-racist white friend from college deserves an invite too.
At 11:00 when you asked what she was doing, she was burning the end of her braids (extensions) so they won’t unravel. It’s an old school technique to seal the hair. Some people still use it today for the ends of their braids for that 90s look. So glad y’all watched this!
