But now Michael Knight's son Mike is driving KITT just like his father did. I remember when Michael Knight first met KITT and when KITT spoke to Michael for the very first time and now it's his own son Mike's turn to meet KITT for the very first time too. And hear KITT's electronic computer voice for the first time too.

@@tomspeed3325 no this was the TV movie that came out in 2008 that served as the pilot for the 2008 TV series, so this movie came out before the series.
Presumably couldn't get one in the colour they wanted. And getting one in that specific colour for a single scene for a joke is quite the effort for the pilot.
@@zacm.2342 Then why not just use some color correction? I know it was filmed in 2008, but software like Photoshop and others already existed then. I refuse to believe that it was easier to make a CGI model than to just change the color in post.
@@laszlokiss4409 they already had the CGI model for the transformations, so as they used it for the scene probably was cheaper to wip up the scene with the CGI than colour correct the livery of a real car, and tbh that would have also stood out rather obviously
