Mike manages to get them in trouble, by racing for pink slips (does KITT even have a pink slip?). Of course KITT can win, but he's supposed to be a super-secret government weapon, and showing him off to everyone ain't part of the spy deal.
When Classic KITT got damaged it was something that took a lot or careful strategy, like getting dipped into a pit full of corroding chemicals or going head to head with Goliath which has the exact same outer shell bonding, this KITT got damaged because he transformed in mid air.....what!
well the original KITT was not able to transform itself into a different car, but the new KITT could, unlike the old KITT, this new KITT is made of nano technology which gave it the ability to transform itself into different cars, so its structural integrity is more weaker, but it has the ability to heal itself quickly.

Original TransAm KITT raced a Lear Jet across the US and arrived at the same time. The female antagonist tried shooting Michael through the window only to have the bullet ricochet and kill her.

This one is a lot weaker given that its made of a material composed of nanobots that allow it to transform (like the attack mode seen here) whereas the firebird was an intermolecular bond material as far as I can remember, which was much more durable.

I don't know what's more sad: The red concept wich is a mix between a Lambo and Infiniti, the fake race with cars stood in a studio or the whole mood totally Fast & Furious, everything but original. The only good thing is the K.I.T.T voice, so relaxing and pleasant to hear, very ASMR I'd say. Obviously IMHO and with all due respect 👌

Must have been a very low budget production since the scenes of the original 80's Knight Rider were way more realistic. Maybe because the car was actually in movement.
I don't think it was most of the time - I recall this and "bomb in the trunk' when he transformed with police lights, but I think pretty much all other instances of CGI were rather well done

@@akiofujiwara3092 Jurrasic Park was made in 1993 and the visuals are still on point for current times, saying this should be given a pass because it was from 2008 doesn't make much sense.
@@RIC0H720p Jurrasic Park was a huge movie with huge budget on that time. KR 2008 was just a TV show. Similize those things doesn't make much sense.
I think had they gave this show more time and not have it cut 5 episodes short (they were supposed to have 22 episodes but ended up with 17) then this might have gone to a 2nd Season. Also I think a Second Season would have helped this show improve since it was a very hit and miss affair with how things were handled in writing and aspects that made no sense with regards to physics.
I can believe that the KITTstang could transform into other cars of similar shape and mass because that's plausible. But when I see him turning pickup trucks or Esuvees...I found that hard to swallow.
And don't get me started on Autobot-KARR. I grant that they had to make him more deadly with regards to weaponry, but making him a Mustang or KARRStang that could turn into a robot? .....That was a bit much for me.
I think it might have been down to the fact David wasn't the star, he was only in a couple of scenes in the pilot that was it.

If you hate the show that much then why are you watching clips of it on RUclips, the story is incredible (mikes memory is the story) and if you hate the fact that they made KITT into an autobot then would you be happy if he can transform to different vehicles using his nano skin
They forgot that this KITT isn't the KITT that they know from the previous series. It's an entirely different car with the same name.
The original TRANS AM Kitt took multiple beatings from an armored truck before losing. Or towed in to a vat of acid. This piece of garbage goes offline by a turbo boost because it wasn't in "attack mode". Pathetic.

Yes. That transformation - madness OUTSIDE the pilot was too much. Mustang transform into a ford van transform into a ford something. ……… the pilot transformation was juuuust right.

No, because his transformation was just pushing out spoilers for aerodynamics, not new wheels, new Chassis, new wheelbase, quick clitch into the mass of a VAN or other vehicles the same brand, into a gigant robot aaaaaaand mit attack mode. 😂😂😂😂😂

I'm going to tell you where this show failed. The whole one man can make a difference. They tried to get back to that concept a little too late. I watched the original countless times and this entire show. Want proof? Last season of this show they killed off everyone and even made the comment about him being one man making a difference. This show was lacking that and I said that from the beginning. Most don't realize Hasselhoff showed up in the pilot. He's his father. This show had SO much potential but they wanted to do Team Arrow type stuff. Show late 90's called Team Knight Rider failed for the same reason. Look it up. One man and a car. That was lost on this show. And before anyone says I didn't like it I did it just lost the concept of one man can make a difference. He'll when Karr returned in this show I screamed when Peter Cullen (voice of Optimus Prime) returned to voice KARR so yes I like this show

Yeah its really bad, in fact the full lot looks well bad! At least with the original they did race it out in scenes and there was no over the top transformers rip off either, which I think this shit is.

I agree.Knight Rider 2008 had potential until they went with the transformation stuff too much.If they hadn't done that it may have survived and if David Hasselhoff appeared in it from time to time that would have made a huge difference.

lol, that attack mode, nothing externally that changed would have helped the cars speed in the slightest. remember when pursuit mode was just like, an internal overdrive gear? (yes i'm aware super pursuit mode in the original was just as stupid looking, but of all the things to copy, you copy that?) XD
The SPM wasn't actually stupid: It was all about aerodynamics and some components had lots of sense such as the splitters and the front fascia getting out as spoilers to create a massive downforce on the front axle (very similar as idea, to the '86 Pikes Peak Audi Sport Quattro) and the rear lift spoiler (wich appeared years later on the Bugatti EB110 and Veyron for example) plus the EBS brake system was actually realistic and spectacular since was a real aero brake, a technology taken from the aviation. Definitely much better the SPM than this "attack mode". Obviously IMHO and with all due respect 👌

Yes, it's an homage to super pursiut mode. KITT 3000 has gatling guns and rockets. But he never killed someone. But Michel in other hand, he killed some, and it bothered me a lot.
Original show was way better and looks great to this day!

The problem with this series was not the new kitt but the lack of logic. For example: This kitt has nanotechnology -that is forgotten after episode one and replaced with transformer like changes that are pointless and ugly AF. Also the lead actor/character is shit.
