This feature is totally underrated. I wish Inmotion had gone with 6 to 8 plug-n-play quick release packs instead of the 4 semi-removable packs but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
It would definetly be amazing with quick-release plug and play batteries! I had dropped the idea of doing deliveries after I sold my sherman s and got the v14s (sherman s was way too heavy for fun riding imo) but maybe it's possible with the v14s anyway. Perhaps I'd remove the kickstand and make a solution without screws for the front bumpers(stick on/off).. this way it would only be the side pads + the actual battery packs that needs to come off/on. a lightweight screwdriver and the job would probably be done in 4minutes with some practice =) If I'd do deliveries though, I would have the 4 battery packs installed, then swap with 4 ready ones. How to charge the separated four batterypacks without them being plugged into the unicycle though? Anyone know of a product or easy DIY mod that could make this possible? :) According to chatgpt, it would take 107minutes to charge a 2400wh battery with 10amps at 134v, if that's true. maybe one should just grab a lunchbox and chill though xD.. But then again, maybe not, if one needs to do it atleast twice a day it would be too much down time probably. Gotto make those deliveries! :'D (never really have properly though, but it seems fun!)
@@ThePwnagealle you can have an adapter made from $10-$20 in parts to charge the batteries separately from the wheel. Any EUC repair facility should be able to make a harness for you or tell you how to do it. Double batteries are good for many reasons but then again, so is having multiple wheels.
You good sir are a hero and a friend. 90% of my riding would not need more than 30-40km/range & I'm so. fucking. excited. To shed that ammount of weight.. it'll be lighter than the EXN ffs! And I loved that nimbleness! It'll be lighter than the S16 and not far from the falcon! I thought I was gonna "need" to buy the falcon, but now I think I'll be close enough with this modification! Please share more of how you like it and what wheel(s) you compare it to now :D I've always loved my small wheels (mcm5 v2 and v10f) and I often find myself at a sweetspot of 53km/h (wheel readout) up to 63km/h sometimes. (And very rarely do i push the max).. so, shredding this weight could make this wheel really hit the spot for me :D 🎉 will see how it fares & report back! :D (bought your files now, thanks! ❤)
Alright, preliminary rapport: my good friend and euc rider helped me 3D print these, and it was a lot of effort 😅 since he didn't have a printer which could print on the vertical like the stl file is in, so he had to do it lying down. After some 10hours he managed to modify the design so it works for that kind of printing machine. Not the best experience unfortunately, but here we are! Feedback from my friend about the design: it could be much lighter given that the only function the fake battery packs actually have is to provide a support for the fairing.. so if you could create an innovative lightweight solution there that would be cool! :) With fairings, pads and afeez pedal (lowering for me) kit, my wheel came in at 42.4kg before the modification and 36~ after. The prints weighed in at 550grams each roughly(1.1kg), and I weighed in my two battery packs at 7.46kg - so total weight saving = 6.36kg I don't quite make out how your wheel could weigh only 30.4kg without even the mock batterypacks. With the mockbattery packs mine weighed 34 something, so should've been atleast 33kg~. or 32.something given your prints may be lighter due to better printing capability~. I notice quite the improvement in agility and fun! Feels faster in lower speeds & feels easier and safer to turn deeper than before. Carving is more effortless too. I'm a bit dissapointed I wasn't able to get down under 32, but It is still better, I just idolized the idea of having a s16pro on roids i seppouse ;) I think I'll like this mod a lot and stick with it unless I really find i need the battery, which I don't think I will. We'll see! Will keep you posted! Awesome idea and cool that you made it into something I could get to try so quick! :D
I've written inmotion and basically posted your video & said I want dual battery mode to work with my wheel haha, no reply yet. Also, seems like I can't charge my wheel in this.. what i'm assuming to be "locked" mode. Sent them my wheel serial number/id. Will just have to wait and see!
curious if you could modify the frame (maybe with additional brackets) to make the batteries hot-swappable, then you could do some insanely long range trips if you just carry extra battery packs
Another benefit too, you could potentially charge both sets of batteries, and hot swap them while on a ride since it only requires a few allen keys, giving you access to the full range of the wheel if you really needed it
@@EUCRAZY_AU honestly really good idea. I rode a v14 for a few feet and I instantly felt it was kinda heavy. I bet with this mod it feels amazing to ride and completely different to stock
@@ryangross5446 honestly it's night and day and a wheel that can be thrown around with the same MASSIVE power and torque people need to jump on this mod it's will worth doing.

When you connect all the batteries again, do you need to be wary of the battery packs having the same voltage to avoid voltage spikes on motherboard? Not sure how Inmotion handles that..
I did this modification yesterday, my batteries weighed in at 7.46kg. The mock batteries at 1.1kg total. So total weight loss = 6.4kg ~. My wheel with fairingplate(as all v14 have) and a bit larger than normal powerpads + Afeez pedal lowering/heightening kit = 42.4kg before the change. 36kg after the change. I don't have that nice seat that EUCRAZY has.. So with that it would weigh a bit more.
@@casperpedersen1690 Data is me pushing it as hard as i can but i can do some EUCWORLD figures if you like ? just remember 50S can handle 25A as apposed to 10A on GB
Charge two batteries while you run two batteries then swap… zero wait, except the swap. With quick release, plug-n-play, this feature would mean total dominance within the competitive category.
Pretty cool, although I imagine the cells will get hotter and may degrade faster with the higher amp draw. The 2-pack V14 is still 2.25 kg (5 lbs) heavier and 550 Wh less capacity than a V12 HT, which goes to show how much all that metal and suspension weighs in the V14. For the price retailers are asking for these, I think Inmotion needs to find a way to cut more weight out of the box. Begode just upped their game with the Blitz with a larger 20" wheel and 2400 Wh battery at 3.17 kg (7 lbs) lighter than the V14, and only 10lbs heavier than 2-Pack V14 but with double the capacity. If Begode ever offers the ability to 2-pack their wheels, look out! That'd bring it down to about 64-65 lbs on a 20" wheel, although I imagine it wouldn't still be able to hit those 55 mph peak speeds.

Is there a lot more voltage sag with the batteries removed? Does it affect the acceleration? Whats it like when it gets down to lower battery %?
No more than normal each battery pack is separate from the ESC the wheel performs as normal :) just less range is all that would be different :)
