Hi you two! Thank you for this trip to Rooibos Tolla Town. It's quite a bustling place and bigger than I thought it to be. Thank you for the time you devoted to this very interesting exploration. Surprises everywhere. Your overnight place in the 'stable' was grand to say the least. Thanks for the drone view putting the cherry on the cake. I am eagerly waiting to be picked up on the next trip. Keep safe!
Clanwilliam is a beautiful town and also has the huge dam. I love this town and am impressed how they maintain the town. Thanks for showing us so much of the old buildings. You really bring reality to us in so much detail. A video well done thank you. Next trip I am on the back seat.
Of all the guesthouses youve shown us so far i like this one best.... i dont know why but i felt a weird kind of deja vu .. the whole set up is out of this world! Thanks so much.
When you left Wupperthal you drove through the beautiful Biedouw Valley. Clanwilliam is such a nice and friendly town. I also love my Rooibos tea, but I now drink Instant Rooibos and I enjoy that very much.
Hi guys loved this historical town the high street was bustling the church with the twin Bell Tower was stunning also the postal and voortrekker monument loved the wheel the museum in the old goal was brilliant loved the old wagons. Nice to see big sports fields and showroom functioning and in good order .the stone Anglecan church was beautiful Ango boer war graves lots of history. The old style shop was right up my alley and the boots you liked are the kind I wear ( IN KENT WE CALL THEM DEALER BOOTS HORSE DEALERS ETC LOT OF TRAVELERS ( GYPSY'S) ALSO WEAR THEM ) .your accommodation was topnotch absolutely loved it surrounded by oranges vine over the stoop. Amazing video thanks for taking me along cheerio till the next one
Ek is so bly Tolla se sentrum is nog daar was ĵafe terug daar toe ons gaan blomme kyk het. Julle verblyf was so mooi . Dankie het dit weer geniet.veilig ry
The Cederberg continues to impress! The drone footage sums up the busy little town of Clanwilliam beautifully. Klein Boschkloof is quite stunning. Thank you for the visit.
Another hidden gem. I loved the jail museum, the mountain's, horses, donkeys and sheep and not forgetting your beautiful overnight stay stable accommodation. Be safe till the next.❤
I had a good chuckle about the garage where you took your first flat tyre. We also took our flat tyre there when we got a flat between Calvinia and Clanwilliam.
Wow so much to see in Clanwilliam. The home of Tolla van der Merwe, Rooibos Tea and Veldskoene from Wupperthal. A very well kept museum. You guys were so lucky to stay amongst those orange trees🍊. 🌳I hope you were allowed to pick some, especially when Sonia has such an affinity with citrus.. Sonia's chicken and mayo toasted sandwiches did not look too bad.🥪 I would have eaten them in a jiffy. Just a couple of questions. Curtis when in Rome , do as the Romans do . Why a coffee and no Rooibos tee ?🍵 Also is there a railway station at Clanwilliam ?🚂 Nice drone shot, but next time try to pick a spot without all that litter on the side of the road😄. Another very interesting visit to a very historical town. Baie Dankie.
You said it yourself! 😁 There were so many other interesting places in Clanwilliam and time ran out before we could figure out the what and where of the station. Stations are just one of the things we enjoy exploring though and we were thrilled at what we did get to see in town. Time, as always, ran out and we wanted to get to the Klein Boschkloof before darkness fell. I drink rooibos tea every day of my life while at home, so I welcome the chance to break from routine a little and enjoy some coffee while on the road. ☕ My camera and my drone will always show a place just as we find it on the day. All the beauty, and the litter if there is any, included! No oranges for Sonia this time around, she was already travelling with a healthy supply of lemons. 🍋 I'm glad you enjoyed Clanwilliam. 🚙🤩
Thank you the trip was so relaxing, just what I needed. Loved the overnight stay in " The Barn " 🎉😂 It is really lovely there, so sad it's up for Sale. May she be blessed wherever she goes ❤ I loved the Oranges hanging from the trees 🌳 and loved the Horse 🐎 galloping down the rode Yahooo 😅 Take care until our next trip, Toodle Dooo as my mom used to say 😂Thank
The last time I drove from Wupperthal to Clanwilliam I was shaken to bits by the corrugated dirt road. It seems that road maintenance in that area is lacking. Did you perhaps find it better?
The road was certainly corrugated in places, but we were in a sedan and didn't find it that bad. It was completely passable. You can check out our episode on Op-die-Berg, Eselbank and Wupperthal in Episode 490 if you like. 😁🚙
I also love my rooibos. Bossietee we used to call it. I can get it here in NZ too . Yes, we all have a tyre story. Do you remember the days when milk was delivered in those funny electronic vans that went wheeee dop? Well, one of these had an accident in Bloemfontein and we drove right through all the broken glass before we even saw it and it cut a tyre to pieces so we had to look for a tyre place and get a new tyre much to my dad's disgust. Not a nice thing to happen when you are on holiday
Yup, a flat tyre is never a fun thing. 😣 I do remember those little milk trucks, but my memories of them are fond ones. They used to bring the bottles of Dairy-Belle milk and orange juice with the foil tops. We put the coupons outside the front door with the empties early and when we looked again, the refills had been delivered. Fun times those were! 😁🍶 Rooibos has taken the world by storm and I'm not surprised. I remember when we lived abroad we were also able to buy rooibos. I do love my rooibos. ☕😍
Thank you kindly! We travel and make videos for fun and treasure our time together when we do get away from the routine of our everyday lives. I don't think we'll make for very good tour guides, we don't chase the touristy sights. Instead, we love exploring and finding the extraordinary in the most mundane. That is super exciting to us! 🚙😁

I've driven through the Cederberg region / Clanwilliam on many occasions. I hadn't realized the Rooibos Museum. My favorite tea / bush.
Birth place of my late husband John Hankey. He loved to talk about Clanwilliam and I will be visiting there soon❤

It seems to be a beautiful peaceful place - love this channel!
Thanks a lot, lots of history and information, and it reminded me those times of tv1, 2 and 3 with Oom Tolla and Baie Dankie.

So many old buildings! Would have loved to also see other attractions besides this
We will always include in our videos what we enjoy and old buildings certainly fall in this category. You should visit the town yourself! 😁🚙
We just did! 2 nights we stayed and I was searching on your travel site for things to do there! Thank you.
