I used to put cherry shrimp in with the eggs they seem to keep them clean. I like how you keep changing things up and keeping it interesting. Love the backwoods look too Bob. Have a great weekend. Thanks for taking the time to film. I miss these vlogs.
Corydoras content. I approve. You won me back as a regular viewer ;-) Greetings from Germany. PS: When you can, talk about your strategy to avoid interbreeding of different species.
I have multiple tanks with mixed species. And while i am not trying to breed them until i put them in tanks of their own. I have yet to see any interbreeding. They all school and spawn with their own species.
@@SteenfottAquatics My Corys/Aspis mostly spawn at night (some of my tanks are in my bedroom - I can hear them "playing") - so that is not a save thing to assume it won´t happen. you would not be the first with some weird-looking offspring that you can´t tell what they are. But some of your species are so similar, maybe you can not even realise it... But I understand, it is not a problem once you have a couple dozen more tanks set up (I have very limited space, I have to carefully mix species that are unlikely to interbreed by their genetics, e.g. C. habrosus and pygmeus).
I'm so glad that you've made a video. Lives are hard for me to get to watch because they're long. And I just can't sit and watch for that long. I do try to listen on the way back and forth to work (it's a 40 min drive each way) but it's just not the same.🤷 I don't get to see the fish you showcase.😢. Hey I really liked the yellow fish with the pink tailfin. What kind is it? I must've missed hearing it. Thank you very much. And yes, please do more 😊.
@@SteenfottAquatics Whew with a name like that, it's no wonder I missed it. I will look for the time stamp and get back to you. IDK why I didn't think about getting a time stamp.🤦🤦🤦
Definitely a ez catch with the one netting of the corys. Man mine did laps and made it a full obstacle course when I was gathering them to go from quarantine to their permanent tank. I kept saying i will win in the end but man my anxiety levels raised as i was like please don't get injured over this. ... Silly question, is there a video that explains the letter and number coding on corydoras and plecos? That's one thing I haven't been able to figure out.
If there is a video explaining the L and CW i havent seen it. The L is for Loricariidae and the C is for Corydoras. Then in 2009 they stopped using C because of species of Scleromystax and Aspidoras that don't start with C. So the website/publication Corydoras World started using CW from 2009 on.
😲 the C.Bleheri! What a perfect specimen. 🎉 Your red shrimp are really nice. Mine are sakura with a real dark stripe, these pop nice in the tank. But all those Corydoras... I'll need to watch again, too many are crossed out and renamed in my notes. 😅😂 Thanks, great video, looking forward to the build.
@@SteenfottAquatics Thank you very much. Can you please please satisfy my other curiosity. The pothos in your fry breeder box. Is it a Manjula pothos ?
Wow! What a fun video and you have so many cool corys! Be awesome to see the room when everything is finished! I’m trying to consolidate a couple tanks myself. Is it okay to keep 11-12 (total) Venezuela and adolfo corys in a 25G cube (18x18x18)? Thanks for any insight!
Bob love 💕 this video. Wow wow wow! Do you think you will ever be selling any fish online? From Buffalo NY here. Loves the gecko!! I have a fish/reptile room! (AKA jungle room 😂) stoked for more future fish room videos from u!!
its annoying how easy the fry go through the output in the breederbox. I use specimin containers with methylene blue, then move to ziss breeder box after they hatch for my corydoras
Love this content unlike u i myself have 20 gallon long it would be nice if u could put out a video of all DWARF SPECIES OF RAINBOW FISH SUITABLE FOR 2O GALLONS LONG AND TALL........

Welcome back bob we appreciate watching more fishes more often than watching seeing only ur face all day....... no pun intended!!!!!!!!!!
Easiest way I have found to get rid of duckweed, stop paying attention during a water change and let the tank overflow a bit lol no more duckweed.
I have tried this method, many times haha. Almost worth it too
But then its all over the floor!
@@wmarian5027 easier to get rid of when it’s on the floor than in the tank.
This was fun!
It was actually lol
Nice, Collecting 🐟 🐟 🐟

Awesome stuff!
Thanks, Bob. This was really cool 😁
Thanks for watching 😁
Missed your cinema verite videos. Great shrimp. Save me some C. robinae. You're getting there.

Nice work bob..keep the video s coming..cheers !!

Hmm, im not sure on the fish, do you have a time stamp that its at? Maybe the Melanotaenia herbertaxelrodi?

Congratulations on your eggs hatching!. Great update
Thanks Suzy
nice one, waiting for more. CYA Bob

What sand are you using for your Cory’s and where did you purchase it? Also. Is that a Manjula pothos in your fry breeder box?
I got it at homedepot. Its called sakrete medium commercial sand.
@@SteenfottAquatics Thank you very much. Can you please please satisfy my other curiosity. The pothos in your fry breeder box. Is it a Manjula pothos ?
@@christophergonzalez6290 Thats pothos Njoy =)
@@SteenfottAquatics oh I see. It’s beautiful. If you get a chance. Google Manjula pothos. The pattern and coloration on that one is amazing
love those Cory Robinae's. As pretty as they are shy :)
I have to sneak up on them all the time haha
Where do you get all your different corys?
Various online vendors, Local fish stores, breeders, and wholesalers/importers.
yeah... if you could hurry up and breed the Amanda corydoras, I need some, so that'd be great... thanks! 🤗 LOL... Have a good one!
You got it dude
Those are some of the chunkyist cherry shrimp I think I've ever seen.
What cory has the bright shiny spot on or right above its head I don’t know if you have it
I am not sure which one youre referring to.

Anything i breed i hope to sell on my website =)
That Chilatherina bleheri is really pretty! How large do they get?
They are a bigger species. I’d say around 5 inches full grown
A piece of filter foam in breeder box keeps the fry in!!
I usually use filter floss but had a brain dead moment

Ill probably be switching to the ziss breeder box myself.

Why his eyes were like
Corydoras in the thumbnail 😂😂
I think you are the first person to notice lol
If I were you, I'd keep up on the water changes in that quail tank... looks a little overstocked for a 10 gallon. 🤪
They do actually go through a lot of water lol
