A few months ago I had surgery on my neck. Can't play yet so I'm golfing with you. Enjoying every minute of our rounds together. Thanks for inviting me along James. Cain't wait for the next round.
This video brings back great memories for me. I played Porthmadog Golf Club twice when I stayed in Portmeirion for 4 days. I hope to cross the pond again and play this course again. The views were fantastic on the course.
Playing there next year as our North Wales society tour, along with Nefyn, Royal St Davids and Conwy. Always great to see your videos keep up the good work and happy golfing
Great video James on one of my all time favourite courses, sadly you didn't have much luck on the greens even though you putted well, many thanks for the upload,it brings back many happy memories!
I played here in June whilst having a few days away playing also at courses you’ve videod at Nefyn, Abersoch and your nemesis course, St Deniol in Bangor. Your assessment of the course is spot on. The views are amazing, lots of blind & semi blind shots on the back 9. It’s the type of course I could easily be a member at if I lived closer to it.
Abersoch is a nice track too, I enjoyed my round there last year. I might try and play Pwllheli in the next couple of weeks. I've heard good things about that course 👍 👍 👍
Just a comment on your putting, your lag putting was very good as usual, although you did leave a few short but bang on line, to me you looked a bit jabby on your short putts, a tip I was given was to follow the ball into the hole with the putter head, which makes me putt much smoother, when I remember to do it !! Cheers.
Looks amazing! Definitely one to get a round in when I’m next in Wales. James - your chipping technique seems to work well for you but please for the love of god will you start aiming more to the left!! 😂
Thanks for a really enjoyable video James .. I think you played pretty well for most of the game when you consider those three putts that stopped on the rim of the holes .. I would love to see you take on Mold GC where I used to play with a golf society it's a lovely hilly course but quite a test. Looking forward to your next video
Beautiful course James, the green goblins were toying with your putts....What is the rate to play 18? I can see why this is one of your fav courses...As always i enjoyed watching, looking forward to the next video..Cheers! that pint looked refreshing mate.
Cheers Geoff, I would have definitely played and filmed at Criccieth golf club but it closed in 2017. This website has the full story: www.golfsmissinglinks.co.uk/index.php/wales-64/1839-wales-criccieth-golf-club Thanks for watching
Never played it but been on holiday around there a few times. Remember walking my dog on those beaches. Happy days! I do remember seeing some reviews of the course a year or so ago criticising the state of the greens. They looked fine here though?
No complaints here. I had an afternoon tee time so maybe there was the odd bump here or there but that's normal. Sometimes courses do essential maintenance including sanding or drilling aeration holes so it could have been that 👍👍👍
Always good when I’ve played it. Apart from hotest weeks in summer as they don’t have water irrigation so they get bone dry. Otherwise it’s always in great nick
Great vlog, I think you need to give your ball a ticking off, I felt sorry for your putter as it was working fine, but the ball just didn't want to drop, if they did I think you would find you played to about a 12/13 handicap 😊 It looks a great course and give you chances to score 👍
I’ve played it several times. Try playing it when it’s bone dry the ball bounces everywhere. It’s almost impossible. Stunning course though. We filmed our round as well 😂
It's a popular course and it was totally packed on this day with plenty of four-balls. I just checked and it comes down to £25 a round from November onwards 👍👍👍
Makes me smile every time i see a new video from you, good attitude and love of the game,
i agree. Working late and taking a break top watch.
Thanks for taking us with you! It's a pleasure to view these courses while imagining being there with you!
A few months ago I had surgery on my neck. Can't play yet so I'm golfing with you. Enjoying every minute of our rounds together. Thanks for inviting me along James. Cain't wait for the next round.
Wishing you a speedy recovery. You'll be back out there before you know it! 👍👍👍

Beautiful course James. Thanks for sharing as always. A video from you always brightens the week
Beautiful course James, long lag puts were great, couldn’t believe the 3 balls that end up less than a roll in. Another great day on the course.
Nice round mate. I'm lucky enough to be a member here and never get tired of playing it
Excellent lag putting, very beautiful course. Many thanks for sharing.
Well played James, fantastic course and a great video.
Lovely course 👍🏼 well played 👏🏼
What a gorgeous looking course. Really enjoyed that thank you. Would love to play there but it's a bit of a trek I think, I will have a look. Cheers.
One of my favourites was this James. Keep it up :) looking forward to the next
Beautiful course, good driving, lag putting like a mad man. Keep up the good work.
Cheers Kenneth, thanks for watching :)
Great video James on one of my all time favourite courses, sadly you didn't have much luck on the greens even though you putted well, many thanks for the upload,it brings back many happy memories!
Amazing isn’t it in summer
Stunning scenery.
Watched a few of your videos mate and you’re such a likeable genuine person. I’ve just subscribed! 👍👍
Great round, played here in the summer, not an easy course but an enjoyable course, well done 👍🏻

That's a nice list of courses to play on a trip. I was chatting with a couple of Porthmadog members and they say they never tire of playing it... 👍👍👍
Great game James on a fantastic looking course. Well done.
Amazing views! Looked like a lot of fun! Great golf! Thank you!
Well played James on an interesting and beautiful course.
Looks a tough course, keep them coming.
It is in winter. Or red hot bone dry conditions
Played some good stuff there 👏
Love this one. Proper golf. What a stunning course. Shame some of those holes were slightly undersized, 😂
great video James, some great shots and some good putts...
What a great video mate! Those greens looked pure and beautiful scenery too. Really enjoyed this one 👍
Cheers Andrew, I definitely enjoyed the game on this day 👍👍👍
Unusual seeing you in a buggy! Great video, love your attitude to the game. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Amazing you kept your cool so well with the putts going just short and the chunks (which always really wind me up when i do them)👍
Another lovely course James 👌Some great lag putting there and some unlucky ones that stopped on the lip! 🙈
Golf really is a funny old game with putts are just refusing to go in by a hair! Always enjoy your videos and attitude!
Awesome video from a beautiful course. Keep up the good work!!!
Love this course. Enjoyed playing Abersoch, many years ago!
Abersoch is a nice track too, I enjoyed my round there last year. I might try and play Pwllheli in the next couple of weeks. I've heard good things about that course 👍 👍 👍
Great round and course!
Great attitude
Another great video mate. Enjoyed it.
Got a 2 on the 6th when we played it - and parred the 18th by hitting the path to the right and got two huge bounces down to close to the green!
The 18th is weird off the tee there's a marker post that I didn't realise was there way to the left... 👍👍👍
Just a comment on your putting, your lag putting was very good as usual, although you did leave a few short but bang on line, to me you looked a bit jabby on your short putts, a tip I was given was to follow the ball into the hole with the putter head, which makes me putt much smoother, when I remember to do it !! What a beautiful course.
Safe to say that the putting gods were not on your side.
Lovely to watch - Well done.
Great Video! 😍🙏what a great golf course near the beach! So beautiful! And you also played very good, congrats 👏
Cheers, I was pleased with the score at the end of the day 👍 👍 👍
Lag putting was good. Saved you-a bit quick from the top on your swing today front nine
Drive past this every few years when we go to haven on black rock sands. Always wish I had room in the car for my clubs so I could go play it.
Maybe squeeze in a half set and sneak off for a cheeky round? :)
Great back swing.
Played mate, getting better again
Good putting just a shade unlucky. keep up the good work.
Looks amazing! Definitely one to get a round in when I’m next in Wales.

Mold is on the list I will get there eventually... 👍👍👍
Great stuff, we are playing there next week hope the weather is ok!
The weather is certainly looking better than this week! :)
great video

Cheers Manny, it is normally very busy at Porthmadog. The green fee was £50 on this day in September. It's much cheaper out of season 👍👍👍
Happy DAYS
Try Aldersey Green and see how you get on , bit of a tip , take plenty of balls😊
Great video, only played this course once and as well as the nearby (now sadly closed) Criccieth ⛳️
Cheers Geoff, I would have definitely played and filmed at Criccieth golf club but it closed in 2017. This website has the full story: www.golfsmissinglinks.co.uk/index.php/wales-64/1839-wales-criccieth-golf-club Thanks for watching
Putting well today 🙂
The putting made up for all those fat shots... 👍👍👍
Never played it but been on holiday around there a few times. Remember walking my dog on those beaches. Happy days! I do remember seeing some reviews of the course a year or so ago criticising the state of the greens. They looked fine here though?

Great round ,but for the few miss hits and the short putts could have been single figures over par
Great vlog, I think you need to give your ball a ticking off, I felt sorry for your putter as it was working fine, but the ball just didn't want to drop, if they did I think you would find you played to about a 12/13 handicap 😊

Any hole on the back 9 can be a card wrecker but I stayed out of trouble for the most part 👍👍👍
Such a difference between the front and back 9. I’m just about to put my review up 👍🏻
Cheers, I think you are supposed to make a score on the front 9 and then hold on for dear life throughout the back 9. I didn't get the memo... lol :)
Yeah it’s a tough one! Any other recommendations for north west wales?
I’ve played it several times. Try playing it when it’s bone dry the ball bounces everywhere. It’s almost impossible. Stunning course though.
We filmed our round as well 😂
Yeah, I saw that vid it looked tough going. Loads of rain this year... 👍👍👍
Impressive putting. Just hard luck.
Some good golf james.. Unlucky to leave so many putts in the jaws and to lose that ball.. I think a fair reflection of your golf would have been 82-83
Good video. Quite expensive
It's a popular course and it was totally packed on this day with plenty of four-balls. I just checked and it comes down to £25 a round from November onwards 👍👍👍
@@notaperfectgolfer3489 thanks. Beautiful views make it worthwhile
Left foot forward a bit
They didn’t want to drop today James🤬
Next time... 👍👍👍
£50 and mats is ridiculous.
There is usually only one mat on the 2nd or third. It’s one of the best course for the money in that area.
