I bought the spin master as well and was considering the McFarland Batwing. I'm not a huge fan of his figures but for 200 the thing should have lights and sounds. There is a you tuber that customizes the spin master batwing with lights and guns. He charges 150 to customize it so still cheaper than McFarland. The detail on the McFarland batwing is cool but over priced in my opinion. I would also add that the spin master version is a toy and the McFarland batwing is not. McFarland is more of a collectable and meant for display.
@@Scro10mThe new Batwing has a huge 35-inch wingspan which means it can seat a 7-inch scale DC Multiverse figure. The spin master is 27 inch and fits a 16 inch figure in a coffin like position but you can customize it to fit 7 inch figures and still come out cheaper than the McFarland batwing.
I paid up for the animated Batwing and Batmobile years ago... Worth every penny. McFarlane has always been good about quality at a good price point... I feel like he could've sold more at $100-125ish, made it an online exclusive with a retailer and it would've sold out
I still have my 90’s Batmobile from the animated series I was surprised it lasted this long & hell I even found the original 89 Kenner batman in the driver seat my dad had bought me when I was a kid 😂
I bought one for my brother who is a huge fan. I agree 100% that it was underwhelming and felt a little cheap. He loved it, so that's all that mattered as a gift. I'm glad I didn't buy myself one. I was happy with the $40 Spinmaster on my shelf.

This is a hard pill to swallow especially seeing how not too long ago Mattel released that amazing 6" scale Justice League Batmobile that came with a fully articulated 6" Batman figure, had lights and sounds, could adjust its ride height, was a FULLY functional RC car with smoke effects AND had a built-in camera for POV video streamed to your phone and all that was for $250. Wow. Even with inflation, $250 for this Batwing looks like a crime. My Lego Batwing was $200 but you pick that up and even though it is Lego it solid, has some weight and feels like $200 worth of material. Sorry man. Thanks for the great review and thanks for taking one for the team...with that said I might end up getting one anyways because it does look cool LOL!

I hate remote control vehicles that have to be controlled with an app. They usually don’t work that great and app support ends quickly. My batmobile like that is just sitting on a shelf wishing it could drive around

You made a damn good point and I am now glad I didn't pull the trigger on the bundle.. 250 for a big hollow piece of molded plastic is outrageous. I actually thought you could at least pull out the gun turrets on this thing. It does NOTHING. It's basically a plastic wall poster. I don't understand the price now. $150... tops. $250... Man you had me rolling because you're right. 1 No panels for guns because DC won't allow guns on anything DC related. I got this too and yeah, it is underwhelming. I also have the Spin Masters and the mat black of the Spinmasters looks better. For $80.00 you can get two Spin Masters, take the wings of one to make a complete wing and the rest can be used as a customizers start on a bat boat. The reason you can still buy the McFarlane one is that Spin Masters really F'd up their sales projections. I don't mind it being a one seater because the original 89 batwing was a one seater. Also a true scale batmobile for the 7" line is 1/10 and is supposed to be 28" long not 22" (Just youtube 1/10 Iron Studios 1/10 batmobile.

My $250 Batwing is still on the way..already paid for. My reason for getting it is I made sure I purchased every single thing from The Flash movie simply for my favorite Michael Keaton Batman. Had I gone without the Batwing I'd always felt like I was missing something in my collection was a little empty. I knew right off the bat I was paying too much but I couldn't go without simply because when I collect I try to collect it all. Repeating myself here but still absolutely love your honest reviews and I'm with you if I got screwed all say I got screwed but the screw job is worth feeling empty later so to speak LOL😂

I’m so glad I got the spinmaster batwing for $44 with taxes and didn’t pay $275 with tax. That’s $231 I saved. Good video cause I was still on the fence about getting it but at that price and ain’t much better then Spinmaster version.

My 250 went straight to the 1/18 kitzconcept rathalos. Its massive, articulated very well and has a light up feature. Can never go wrong with a big ass dragon
At first glance it looks cool but it kinda seems cheap and those landing gear seem weak but I guess its not a meant to be played with. My thoughts its meant to hang on the wall probably why its cheap hand hallow to make it light enough to where it wont fall off the wall. Doesn’t excuse it there are ways to make it heavy duty feel like its worth the price and fasten it to a wall mount securely. Thanks for mentioning Neca I couldn’t remember the name and was thinking of that Turtle van the whole time haha. Only McFarlane I buy is Warhammer and I might switch to Joy Toys for that. Acid Rain figures are pretty nice to if 3 inch if a thing you like.

I refused to accept Todd's interpretation of the Batmobile. This seems to fall in line. He cut corners so it can be wall mounted. It's not a toy, it's 250 wall plaque

We told you!!!! 4:10 I'd be upset about the color alone. The Batman inside, the picture of the Batwing and box behind it all are blacker than the actual Batwing. It's grey and it's not even due to your lighting either. That's messed up. Was always happy with my Spinmaster decision. Yep.
Thanks for an honest review. For this money you could have ordered the 12 foot home depot skeleton or 9 foot werewolf. The only sad thong is McFarlane will feel justified charging this much because of reviewers taking the bullet for us. BTW, did you know Todd sold out about 5 years ago, and closed the whole NJ development offices? Everything is done by a Canadian company now, and Todd is just a figurehead.

My 250 went straight to the 1/18 kitzconcept rathalos. Its massive, articulated very well and has a light up feature. Can never go wrong with a big ass dragon

At first glance it looks cool but it kinda seems cheap and those landing gear seem weak but I guess its not a meant to be played with. My thoughts its meant to hang on the wall probably why its cheap hand hallow to make it light enough to where it wont fall off the wall. Doesn’t excuse it there are ways to make it heavy duty feel like its worth the price and fasten it to a wall mount securely. Thanks for mentioning Neca I couldn’t remember the name and was thinking of that Turtle van the whole time haha. Only McFarlane I buy is Warhammer and I might switch to Joy Toys for that. Acid Rain figures are pretty nice to if 3 inch if a thing you like.
Finally - an honest review for that Mc-Kenner Batwing - i have the DC BTAS Batwing and this doesnt even come close - great vehicle comparisons too
Ouch … some cracking pieces there but that batwing sucks, that’s a lot of money to spend on something as hollow as that compared to what they have been offering

Real talk I'm glad I passed on this 💩 and I got both of the Spinmasters batwings, $250 + tax and shipping? Not worth it, should've been $85 like the Batmobile and no lights or sounds, mcfarlame is slacking and scalping us

I refused to accept Todd's interpretation of the Batmobile. This seems to fall in line. He cut corners so it can be wall mounted. It's not a toy, it's 250 wall plaque
😂 I’m loving the straight honesty. I use to have both the animated batwing and Batmobile. I can’t understand the price point with no light up features. I mean he did the hazmat Batman with light up features.
Still...the best consumer-based, high-end collectible Batwing comes from Jazzinc Diorama. Although, it is so expensive than this.
We told you!!!! 4:10 I'd be upset about the color alone. The Batman inside, the picture of the Batwing and box behind it all are blacker than the actual Batwing. It's grey and it's not even due to your lighting either. That's messed up. Was always happy with my Spinmaster decision. Yep.

Thanks for an honest review. For this money you could have ordered the 12 foot home depot skeleton or 9 foot werewolf. The only sad thong is McFarlane will feel justified charging this much because of reviewers taking the bullet for us. BTW, did you know Todd sold out about 5 years ago, and closed the whole NJ development offices? Everything is done by a Canadian company now, and Todd is just a figurehead.
