I agree. Both are fantastic for different reasons. I got the smaller Spin Master Batwing. And it’s fantastic. No mods needed. Could it be more detailed, yes. But the value for the money is off the charts. Just my 2 cents.

Dude you and I are on the same page. I got both and honestly the spin master is pretty decent for what it is. People will always complain about anything. Man people should just be happy that we're getting anything that's a new Michael Keaton Batman. Keaton's the sh*t!

Im so glad you made this video. 100 percent right about this community. Its embarrassing. I enjoy and collect what i want. I pre-ordered the mcfarlane batwing.
The Spinmaster is a toy. It is intended to be sold at mass retail for children to play with. It’s actually a rather nice toy for the price. On par with the Mattel Wrestling cars and trucks. For those more budget minded it is also a great starting place for customization. You can pretty easily turn it into a real nice 1/12 scale vehicle using a handful of plastic and some rattle cans. Heck I’ve seen some guys add lights and effects for less than half the cost of the McFarlane. But at a minimum by adding 2 seat backs and a control panel it looks great with 2 6” figures. (For McFarlanes 7” figs I’d do 1 seat with some mechanical details behind. ) So there’s lots of good stuff to be had there. But for the collector the McFarlane is probably the better beast. It comes 1/12’ish out of the box. Has some nice paint apps and is ready to display. It all depends on what kind of hobbyist you are.
PS for those looking for nice subjects to customize into 1/12 or 1/18 scale planes/starfighters. Those 2 nice big ships from Lightyear have been hitting the clearance aisles. The XL-01 and XL-15 I believe? They are designed for 4.5” figs. But can easily be customer for either 1 6” or 2 3 1/4” pilots. They make great GI Joe or Star Wars ships.
I'm 53 and I bought the Spin Master Batmobile with the two figures. I thought it was a GREAT deal for a vehicle I never had. I freaking love it! And it's more in my price range. Thanks for venting. I've spent more for one vintage SW figure so....

This is an awesome piece to customize. I wouldn’t touch the McFarlane one based on the price, but this one would be fun to paint and add the 3D printed pieces that I’ve already seen coming out

I have this as display and it’s perfectly fine to me don’t know why everyone’s complaining about this spin master batwing it’s pretty decent not like you can’t add or glue in seats to fit a 7inch figure. Love the spin master Batwing and all of the Mcfarlane figures both are good toy companies and can’t complain about either

I really want to get a few of these and use a dremel tool to take out a bit of the plastic inside, then design a seat and 3d print it to glue in the cockpit. Honestly I would probably use it as a concept Fire Bat design for my classified GI Joe figures. I think it looks badass, and for the price its a steal!

Here's Something not enough people say; That the 1/12th // 6" scale -- for whatever reason -- is the toy adult market place. Thus Hasbro knows this, and that's why sht like the _Buzz Light Year_ 1/18th scale ship vehicle & _Spin Masters_ BLACK ADAM Ship (w/ A couple jenky figs) is under $50. It's the kids market place. Cause people w/ Money & jobs mainly collect 1/12th scale stuff right, so Greedy companies (like Hasbro) jack up the price for 1/12th scale. Thus Taking advantage of that specific customer. Knowing full well that- That demographic of buyers has more $$$. E.g. There's no reason The 'Haslab Hiss' (minus the stupid cheap electronics) shouldn't of been on shelves all over the world for $100 w/ A driver. The reason it wasn't is because Hasbro would of rather had triple the money per unit upfront (so they can make interest off of it as well) & Not have any financial overhead risk. If All these idiot Hasbro's wouldn't of thrown down on the Hiss,, other decent sized Classified vehicles would be in stores on shelves. But now that will never be the case w/ CLASSIFIED. Because the models already been set. An It's also why Hasbro really tried to Scam the Planet w/ there _Legends_ "Engine of Greed" Hell charger.

It looks very nice. What sucks is that we didn’t know about this until the Macfarlane one was revealed. I think this is a great bargain. I just don’t want to miss out lol.
Yea, for me I love to customize on a budget! Ever since I got married, I went from buying hot toys to Mcfarlanes! I think my wife would divorce me if I dropped 250$ on a toy again 😂 she saw I pre ordered the Mcfarlane Batmobile last night and I was in the Dog house! So for me it’s spinmasters, & I’m lucky I got a Batwing at all! It really does look great next to my 6” Keaton’s! The SHFigureArts Keaton is 5.75” it’s perfect scale!

Too be honest, the Spin Master Batwing is a godsend. I can play devil's advocate because I've been on both sides of the coin. I never had the opportunity to get my hands on a Batwing because i started collecting late. The last Batwing was the DC Direct Animated Series. I missed out on it and I wasn't paying scalper prices for it. When McFarlane announced their Batwing....I wasn't crazy about the price but i considered it only because i need a Batwing and it was going to be the lowest i will ever have to pay for a figure scaled Batwing, or so i thought. Once i heard about Spin Master's Batwing and how it scales with my figures for a fraction of the price?, it was a done deal. Don't need a $250 Batwing now. Do i still want it? sure but Spin Master filled the void i needed. Now to play both sides. I really want the new McFarlane Batmobile that's currently sold out. Do i need it? No because i already have a $250 Batmobile. Will i still buy it? Yes because $60 is much better deal to add something extra to my collection than to $250.

Mcfarlane gets too much unwarranted hate. i love what he does for the fans. i hope he never decides he's tired of the crap and quits making toys.

That was alsome review, I ordered the McFarlane Gold Label Batwing, when it arrived I was so happy. I opened the shipping box up and rhere it was. I opened the McFarlane Gold Label Batwing box , guess what?? It was the large Spin Master Batwing, I was pissed off. I paid $312.66 for a $45.00 Batwing. I have the Better Business Buerrue on them. I want my full refund, this wasn't by accident. It was done purely on purpose.

I was loving this review. If Jeweles from Pulp Fiction reviewed toys you'd get this. I ordered the $712.00 1/6 batmobile (don't know where you got a $1000.00). I also ordered the $250.00 batwing then canceled it and got two of these. I like both. I got this specifically to customize
You get two and you can make the wings complete on the bottom and take the extra body and make a bat boat.
I know I was just being facetious. And to be honest if it were smaller, I would still pay the same price for that new Batmobile and Batman. It just would definitely not fit anywhere in my house lol.

I just got my batwing today I love it I can't afford the $250 one I think it's way to expensive in my opinion but this spin master is awesome and amazing it looks great next to my custom Keaton Batman Figure.
They complain cause they are too lazy to see the potential in modding this thing.. even if its a detachable cockpit that is attached with velcro.. its simple... the figure is a bonus.. Honestly I am glad this thing exists because that one for the 3 inch figures is way to small to scale and this i can add seats from a freaking model kit and be more satisfied with the scale.. its so simple it aint even funny.

I love my spin master batwing sorry I did not want to spend the money on the McFarlane one to me they are both cool but the spin master is displayed serving it’s beautiful purpose and like you said paint it if you want and I like buying figures so if I got more cash versus a 1000.00 Batmobile I’d rather my cash it’s all good and I got the first batmobeast I love it too

I don't know how old you are, but back when the original Batman movies first came out, Kenner had the license to the Batman movie toy lines for the first four films, and let me tell you, they are definitely some of the best movie based toys, and that was like 25 years ago or more! For starters the McFarlane does look like Keaton. Any complaints on that is misguided or blind or retarded or all 3. Next, Jordan and Air Max comparison makes no sense, brother. And yes, there is a difference. Both in construction and quality of build. Both use Nike Air, until the Jordan 12 came along and used the much superior zoom cushioning set up. This is coming from somebody who plays basketball, owned the originals, understands the performance technology, also has owned Air Max (probably the most over priced sneaker that is neither quality performance or great casually due to a visible air unit when Huaraches are more comfortable casually and different zoom runners far out perform them) but, also a Jordan collector to go along with being an action figure collector. The rest of your video I absolutely agree with. Oh and the Spin Master stuff looks great for its price. Both the 4 inch figs and vehicles for kids (the Batmobile one especially which looks amazing and more accurate than the McFarlane one) that can fit the Mattel 89 4 inch one from around 2014. And the 12 inch figure even if made out of cheap toy plastic actually looks quite good and a lot like Keaton. A good customizer could add a superior cape and add paint details to make the good sculpt pop more and you got a high end looking collectible at the fraction of a price for a Hot Toy.

With the Mcfarlane batwing the price isn't just about plastic (though they are definitely using better plastic than spin masters), or even the limited production numbers. It about detail, there is far more tooling than went into the mc-batwing. The people complaining probably aren't used to the "detail" premium. If mcfarlane brings an 89 batwing at that same size and attention to detail I would gladly pay $350.
McFarlane Batwing is half my rent, Spin Master isn't and I can get 3 SM batwing and still not approach the $250 for one Batwing and I can customize the SM to my specifications.
I am so happy McFarland has done the bat mobile and the bat wing. I had an back in 1991 through 1994. I bought pretty much all of the vehicle before the Batman movies from the Batman returns. Batmobile, the Batman, forever Batmobile, the Batman, forever, fat wings, and the water cruiser along with all the fingers and everything back I am very happy McFarlane is making a $60 Batmobile, I was not able to pre-order it because I waited for more than an hour because I was too busy looking at the figures and deciding if I wanted to just entire order in the way by the way I did and I got a bat cycle but I was not able to pre-order the Matt mobile which sucks. I’m sad but I will find it. I’m sure I’m definitely not paying $300 one and assholes on Mercari are doing.

Also Mcfarlane was too big because I live in a condo the wall I am putting that is perfect. Not to mention 40 bucks to practice customizing is a steel. Thank you
I appreciate it that you didn’t take it offensive. I’m just happy that there are various options for everyone so everyone can enjoy the hobby. We all love. Some people have to opt for the V-6 while others will pay the extra 15 to 20,000 for a V-8 but they both get a Mustang.
