Yup, I have changed the starer on my Avenger and I did NOT. have to remove the air intake. Its really easy to remove the starter . I guess its good to check the intake manifold and clean it. I rather check the and clean the AIC , MAP MAF TEMP sensors and the throttle body. And of course the spark plugs. As for no start, the starter, alternator killing the battery, battery and check for loose or broken wires. I guess he knew what the problem was. The start.
Why didn't you check the starter from under the car? Never seen anyone first assume the engine was seized up when there was a no crank no start. And checking all the fuses? Even the ones that have nothing to do with the problem?? Hope you aren't charging by the hour.
My dodge went out a couple of days ago. Motor sign came on checked with machine to see what it could have been. Crankshaft position sensor registered. Changed it out still didn’t start. Checked the cam shaft sensor as well. Changed fuses and pcv valve. Once you change the crankshaft sensor you need to try turning on a couple of times. As it’s reprogramming itself. Also make sure you release some of the pressure out the gas line.
