I would LOVE a remake of Digimon World 3, personally. It's one of my favourite games of all time - I still have my original PS1 disc of it and still play it sometimes. A few QOL improvements would go a long way, e.g. constant backtracking got tedious after a while, maybe fast travel to previously explored areas? Sadly it feels like digimon dosnt think it can compete with pokemon outside japan. So it just dosnt seem to even try and instead is slowly giving up on franchise only making enough content to keep trademarks or copyrights and make a bit of money of it.

At this point ive given up on new and good Digimon games. Just port the PS1/DS games and let me relive my amazing Digimon childhood since Bandai doesnt give a shit about the future of the franchise
I'm replaying Digimon cybersleuth and the amount of effort they put into all of the digimon models and how all 351 of them have a signature move with a unique animation (excluding the baby digimon) is a breath of fresh air after training a team in Pokemon Scarlett. If Pokemon was allowed to reuse 3d models for 4 gens. Why doesn't Bandai just have those 351 be the baseline and add another 100 digimon and make an open world digimon game. I think cybersleuth is great, but whenever I'm in the mall, I'm bored. And when I'm in Eden, the environment is uninteresting and seems copy and paste.
We know that they are working on another Cyber Sluth game, which is really cool as thoey are really great digimon games. Also, would be nice to get another Digimon Survive style digimon game, as yes i did really enjoy it and tbh, its not that much more talking compared to the fire emblem franchise.. Plus there is a fan game called Digimon New World, that is basically Digimon World but with pokemon style battles and types. and its pixel art.
The only thing Digimon needs to do is continue being Digimon. Which it is. It's sad because the few people who are asking for a Digimon game are asking for Digimon Story games and sorry to say, as much of a Digimon mega fan as I am, those games have never been that entertaining imo and they most certain don't sell well. Bandai Namco barely cares that Digmon exist. They aren't capitalizing because they straight up aren't allowed to. It's fun and all to have these big dreams and hopes, but we can just watch the company that owns Digimon, we can watch how Digimon has been treated since it's inception, and we can realize begging for what you need from the Digimon franchise is a fools errand. It's a boy-targeted spin off of Tamagotchi.
All what you said apply only to the west. The franchise is very successful in Asia and financially is doing good, it's just that Bandai don't really care about going big in the west with any of their franchises unfortunately.
@MatanelCation not true. I straight up read the Japanese earnings calls for bandai. It's not just the west. Bandai simply treats all their properties as toy. Hence why vpets are still made. I order vpets from premium bandai often as I'm a collector. I'm just saying Digimon is not seen as a game franchise within the company. I really want another Digimon World game as those are closer to vpets gameplay but the chances are low they'll put any money into developing a game. Even Digimon Survive seems like it may have been cut down to something far more simple like a visual novel as they don't requires massive budgets at all compared or full fledged RPGs like Story or World game. I hear they're working on a Story game but time will see what comes of that
Okay before you read this lemme finish : I don't HATE the World formula, HOWEVER.....we do not need more games with the whole tedious dying mechanic. I'm sorry but I got sick of the whole having to retrain my Digimon every few hours, for ANOTHER few hours just to fight a couple of battles then have to redo it all over again. HELL. NO. Look I'm not saying how I can't see it being fun for a niche audience but the world games are waaaay too much of a time sink for an auto battler (yes it IS an auto battler with next to no strategy). The bonuses for rebirth are not enough to justify the dying mechanic. Digimon needs a revamp of their combat/ progression system if they want to retain my interest and get a bigger audience. They also NEED to dive further into their aesthetic of it being a DIGITAL world and incorporate into the gameplay. Maybe like you collect data parts and can build your own digimon. So far it's not really utilizing a digital aspect and it's stuck in the V pet scene.
I never played any of the games not my thing really and whats happening to pal world I don't support pokemon anymore I now care for palworld id hug grizzbolt

I hear they're working on a Story game but time will see what comes of that
More world games
I hope its not like survive, i dont like that kinda gameplay 😂 please release something similar to Sleuth and next order
We need actually games!, We need someone who actually likes money and doesn't hate the west to step in at the company and push for products in the western market. Mobile games , broad games, push dub releases for the anime.
