I enjoyed this video very much. My grandkids have enjoyed the dog and cat that you video last year. They will enjoy the baby elephants that I will turn next. Thank you for sharing. I hope I see you on the next one

Hi Albert i hope your grand children get as much enjoyment from them as my grand children do, they disappear from my house pretty much as soon as i make them

This one trumps the rest of your menagerie! The red cedar was an inspired choice - looks really great - well done you!😀

I think this baby elephant is your best animal yet …. They are all great, but this has that extra “cute” factor 🇨🇱🤠

Thanks Chris, My youngest daughter has taken this one already, she has a shelf at her works with all sorts of my stuff on. I think she is quite proud of her dad and wants to show off my skills

Hi Mauro, I really don't keep them long enough, if my daughter doesn't take them one of my grand children usually does

This is the first video of yours I have seen. Great project, and I love the way you put it all together. Can I ask, though, about the technique you use at about 6:00? You seem to glue the head into the sacrificial ring to sand the back, but within a few seconds you have it free and clean again. What is the glue, and how does it clean up so easily, please?

Hi Richard, I hope you enjoyed the video, What i used was a hot glue gun which manages to hold the piece firm but just peels away when you are finished with it, i also used this in my #104 seal video around the 8 minute in mark

@@thehampshirewoodturner Thank you! My experience of hot melt glue is nowhere near that runny - but I was using a small craft glue gun, which probably doesn't get hot enough. I bought a new one a couple of months ago, but not yet given it a run out.
