Ah I almost forgot to mention that even though you cannot access your photos on your sd card while in your phone you may be able to access them by simply putting your sd card into a usb sd card adapter then plugging it into a computer. Don't know why this is but this worked for me several times with different sd cards.

Hi, do you know if this software would work if the file reads, "Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because either Photo Viewer doesn't support this file format, or you don't have the latest updates to Photo Viewer."? The system was preciously saying the files were corrupted, I tried to retrieve the photos and videos manually like you demonstrated in another video and now I'm getting the message I wrote above. My computer is updated.

#1 step to avoid corrupting your files. You MUST eject your sd card in your settings BEFORE you remove it from your phone. When it's in your computer, again you MUST eject it before removing it from the computer.

my sd card when put in my old phone (on which the photos were originally taken nokia 200) shows photos and videos, but when i put in a card reader and into my laptop it says it is corrupted, tho on the original phone (nokia 200) the pictures can be seen just fine.

It's possible yes, but bottom line - if your phone (especially modern phone and OS) cannot read the card and reports it as "corrupt" you are screwed.
a Format is the only way to fix it from that point.
Very small outside chance that your PC via a card reader would miraculously be able to read and recover your data...

I know a simpler way. First you need a rooted phone with CWM recovery and a flash recovery file manager to access your phone storage and the sdcard. If your sdcard got corrupted turn of your phone and go into recovery DO NOT FORMAT, then use the file manager to go into your scarf and check if anything has changed. My sdcard got corrupted 2 times and this method saved it and it is a 32gb sdcard. All my data is OK when I first discovered this method I know this will work for everyone on TWRP.

ILuvTrading yes you NEED them installed long before your sdcard got corrupted in order for it to work if your phone can use otg then that would be just as good. It work for me I don't know if it will work for anyone else. But it is recommended to flash a custom recovery after rooting your device IF there is a supported custom recovery for your device.

When I recovered a deleted images on my external hard drive using a recovery software, most images were not in order and in JPEG ( what happened to the RAW format) format. I'm pretty sure your so called Samsung SD card is non-genuine (Fraud product) like mine. Yes, it says it has 128gb (mine claims to have 32Gb) on PC and Mobiles; but the actual size of it, is Cunningly Hidden that only can seen & tested using various softwares such as "H2testw" on PC. My 32gb Sandisk card turned out to be fake after revealing the true size of the chips. It apparently has only 14gb full space, yet I already stored as much as 20gb files on it (so there was 8Gb free space left) and guess what! As much as 6gb of my files got corrupted and mysteriously disappeared (Were moved to Lost.Dir folder) and the card free space went back to 14gb again (14gb used + 14gb Free space). Tl;dr when the real fake card's size is reached then many random files stored on it immediately become disappeared & sometimes Corrupted (Changed themselves into Smaller size) after a while/reboot.
