Overview
The Turbo Timber SWS (Sport Wood Series) 2.0m is the largest E-flite Timber model yet! It's based on the design of the foam Turbo Timber 1.5m models but features strong, stiff and lightweight built-up wood construction. The balsa and lite-ply airframe arrives factory-finished with genuine UltraCote film covering and is mostly factory assembled so you can have it flying in almost no time - without the use of glue or special tools. A two-piece wing makes it easier to store and transport, and it's equipped with functional flaps for shorter takeoffs and landings along with improved low-speed performance. Plus you have the option to utilize crow and/or full-span flaperons for even better STOL capabilities.
The BNF (Bind-N-Fly) Basic version is equipped with six factory-installed digital and metal-geared Spektrum A6380 servos, a 4S to 6S compatible Avian 5055-500Kv outrunner motor, and a 100-amp Smart ESC that can provide a variety of power system related telemetry data with Smart and non-Smart batteries via compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters. It's also equipped with an AR8360T receiver that provides full-range, real-time telemetry data including overall battery voltage, current draw, ESC temp, and more - plus motor reversing for special ground handling and other capabilities - along with the benefits of AS3X® and optional-use SAFE Select technologies. Or, the ARF (Almost-Ready-To-Fly) version is ready for installation of the electronics and power system you prefer!
Both versions feature simple and durable aluminum landing gear with oversized tundra-style wheels and are also ready to accept the optional Carbon-Z Float and Mounting Sets (both sold separately). They also feature factory-installed LED navigation and landing lights along with transparent windows for added scale-like looks, and a convenient top hatch for fast and easy battery changes. And it all combines to make this a great first-ever “wood”, everyday sport flying and aerobatic capable, plus large-scale Timber model for intermediate to experienced pilots!

Overview
The P-51D Mustang is world-renowned as quite possibly the most iconic fighter aircraft of all time! Its unique design resulted in it delivering some of the best performance among all fighter aircraft flown in WWII. “Detroit Miss” is a history-making P-51D Mustang that was flown by Urban “Ben” Drew, and in 1944 he became the first USAAF pilot to shoot down two jet-powered Messerschmitt Me 262 fighter aircraft with it. The E-flite UMX P-51D Mustang is an ultra-micro sized model of the famous aircraft that’s a warbird version of the popular UMX P-51D Voodoo racer. It’s equipped with expertly-tuned AS3X and optional-use SAFE Select technologies, is 2S and 3S battery compatible, and provides real-time battery voltage telemetry to compatible transmitters. Because of its ultra-micro size, the UMX P-51 can be flown in more places and smaller spaces including many yards, parks, and sports fields! The fixed landing gear with a steerable tailwheel makes it easy to taxi, takeoff from, and land on smooth surfaces, or you can leave the landing gear off for more speed and vertical performance with easy hand launches over and landings on grass. It’s the most affordable, convenient, and easiest-to-fly replica of a P-51D Mustang yet!

@PetrincicBrosRC if you had a head tracking FPV system in the plane you could see how much fuel you have left in the plane but running a gas plane you might need to lengthen the exhaust to make sure it clears the windows, and flying it together with the electric version would probably be a lot of fun

Ohhhhh now we are talking !!!!! This really is a masterpiece bringing together the flying characteristics of a balsa model with the convenience of ready to fly. If they make an IC version now that would be really something !!!

Of course this Giant Timber is a balsa masterpiece, beautifully designed and made; and a 15cc 4 stroke engine would make it even MORE exciting, but I myself am SUCH a warbirds fan, and this P51 Detroit Miss looks so good, I mean it's INCREDIBLE how these things have developed over the years, having something like this, so detailed and you just chuck it in the air and off you go.. A stress free fun afternoon for not too much money. As I get older I love these little warbirds more and more, I'd like to see more of them, more variety of WW2 aircraft designs..
The Timber though.. HEY! I can't wait to see this one on the runway. Looking forward to some slow and sexi passes with those splat flips..

BIG WIDE WINGS Fly very nice, I just recently flew a scratch build plane that I built with a 12 inch wide cord and a 45 inch span, it floats like a balloon, and it fly's very slow, a very nice flyer!
I also love really slow birds to fly.

And you are considering converting it to a glow engine? That only can make it better.
I begin to stop missing the models of the classic big three from back then. There is very cool new stuff out now.
Especially if preassembled, back then RTF was pretty much useless, since you had to replace the cheap junk they put in there anyway.
We are really thinking about glow engine on this baby in the future.

I love this channel. Honest, and fun. How about a video for the beginners like me? Maybe show the basic things we need and how to set it up before flying.
Welcome - Largely depends on whether you go fuel or electric as to what you'll need. Elec is easier, less, requirements, and cleaner not to mention the noise factor. I love both and have flown both but with both it's nice if you can begin your flying with a simulator. Crash all you want and you don't hurt anything. Or if you have a decent club close to you visit them and find someone willing to teach you. It's an expensive hobby if you don't learn the basics first. First plane should in my opinion be a trainer such as the Apprentice. The main thing I always recommend to new comers is to ALWAYS keep the prop off the plane while setting up. This should be the last thing put on the plane before flying. Ask the multitude of RC flyers that have 9 or less fingers why that is. It's a fun hobby BUT one that if taken advantage of can bite ya. Good Luck. I"m sure others will have good advice as well. Many Utube's to watch for beginners.

I just looked at the ARF manual, I think instead of installing the motor box, I think if you fuel proof the firewall close it up with a piece of ply, and install the glow engine mount?

If you gave it to me I wouldn't fly it. I'm afraid of wooden planes. When they crash they're generally in many pieces and often beyond repair.
Usualy you really dont have much to pick if you crash balsa plane.
