a tip for this deck that can win you the game! - I found that Rosanne's Backp is a very helpful card as you can get your max belt , stadium , energy etc back from your discard and in your hand right after you lose it using that and your Thwackeys . up to 300 damage each time :)
Goldeen is so important in this deck just to make it more reliable to help thwackey to use his ability, i also like colress tenacity to get an Energy + Festival grounds
I don't know if it would end up on bad deck Friday, but when Hydrapple EX comes out, it'd be cool to try mashing it together with festival lead somehow.
Doesn't work. A Festival Lead deck plays few energy cards (6 at most) and Hydrapple ex relies on having a lot of energy cards attached to it to deal big damage. I see Hydrapple ex being in its own deck with Ogerpon and a couple of one-prize attackers as support.
@@rizkyperdana3066 "Doesn't work" That's why I said it could show up on a bad deck Friday. Festival Lead does not play a maximum of 6 energy, that's just some arbitrary restriction you're placing on the deck. I already play 8-9 energy in mine, and it's definitely not bricking on energy. The reason the decks are played separately isn't because of differing energy counts, it's because of bench space. Hydrapple wants to spam Ogerpon EX, while Festival Lead wants Thwackey. But if we pick a strategy to focus on, it's possible to incorporate the other in a smaller amount.
@@Gatchu137 agree with you on the energy count, it was just an arbitary number. I do think though 6 energy is plenty enough in a Festival Lead deck, while a Hydrapple ex deck would need at least 11-13 energy for its big attack to be worth playing. Even being a late game attacker in a Festival Lead doesn't really compute with me. I'd rather have a one-prizer Dipplin' that can hit 160-200 damage with only 1 energy requirement (and useful Thwackeys on the bench ready to pick any cards that I need from the deck) than a two-prizer Hydrapple ex that needs 4-6 energy to hit comparable damage and useless fodder Thwackeys on the bench. I would love to be proven wrong though.
14:49 If you get counter catcher there and KO the Thorns with 4 energy on it, you make them have to also have an energy attachment in their small hand to even attack.
Miriam is an underrated card in the dipplin deck. It shuffles 5 pokemon back into your deck and draws three. That is enough to "round out" a game with all the Dipplins that you need.
We’ve been saying it forever. Dipplin is an amazing deck. The only match up we really have issues with is regidrago but we play a DTE on the golden and hope to force at least one energy discard which usually either forces them to burn through resources, or stall for one turn. And with this deck one extra turn can be mean victory
been using this deck for a while as it's a fun one to pilot....struggles against drago and bolt decks, but takes down zard/moon/ancient box.... I run a rellor/rabsca instead of the manaphy.
How do you feel about spending 1 extra turn to evolve into Rabsca but being able to shield damage counter from Dragapult / Regidrago / Sybleye, vs just puffin Manaphy but could only block Kyurem? I'm on the fence but leaning towards easy setup / consistency with Manaphy
I’ve tried goldeen with double turbo to knock off up to two energies on the active per turn. Mixed results. Also run Swirlix instead of goldeen, same difference but with a luminous energy you can occasionally fix the math with 4 damage counters on the bench. I also like having a Rotom for early game drawing and Thorton to remove it and keep your bench 1 prizers. Also helps with quickly building attackers in one turn. There’s so many ways to play this deck, that’s why it’s fun!
If Roaring moon is the plague, then the grassers is the answer. I don't know why I saw too many roaring moon in the ladder lately (both ex and the singles) and I only got only a few losses against it?🤔
Insanely, I haven’t come across a single roaring moon on the ladder, I’ve been playing Toedscruel/Ogerpon and I’ve come across raging bolt, control, many many charizards and even Alolan Vulpix Vstar (which was an auto-loss because its attack makes it immune to cards with abilities) I have not had a good time on the ladder haha.
Been using this deck for a while, its hard to set-up, needs to start 2nd given the amount of turn-2 attackers. Coleress is also quite useful for the stadium and energy
TM: Crisis Punch and Lost Vacuum (so you can remove your own existing tool card) is a fun addition to a Festival deck. As long as you can have an attacker in the late game, you can usually win from a 4:1 price deficit. And they never see it coming.
Fun fact, because of the Stadium, we can't even try weirds shenanigans with poison to make it work with the Mochi 😢 As a side note, great idea the Goldeen, but I usually play the Swirlix better since you can use it to fix some math
Ya, I have found a Swirlix/Rescue board combo with one luminous energy has allowed for the possibility to fix math to be a great option. Usually you don't need it, but 40 damage anywhere on the board can sometimes make a huge difference.
I'm not a fan of the cuts in this edit. It's not egregious like some other channels, but I just noticed it more in this video than I do in your others. Still legit great content, this is a minor nitpick. Just can be a bit distracting.
Have you ever considered taking highlights from your matches and compiling them? I know plenty of people who make highlight/fail comps of their TCG videos, and they always turn out well and perform great!
Irl i have a amalga deck with torterra ex. I use thawkey dripplin as a setup engine and i added the growtle for extra help getting grass types also torterra as a late game attacker. I haven't used it yet, but i feel pretty confident in it
You are playing grass so you counter Roaring Moon. But they can destroy stadiums with their attacks so they counter your deck. Surely that evens out to a 50/50.
I have been playing lead for a few weeks now. This video confirms how good it is. Eats up the thorns zards and regidrago. Only effectively lost to future hands but the rest winnable
i do swirlix over goldeen and 1 psy energy for placement it fixes math. And no, belt isnt the best acespec until rotation. its useless vs vstar decks. ur better off with aroma or stamp
Have you tried a Luminous Energy? I run one of those and it works for both Swirlix and Dipplin. Then you can't "wiff" an attack if you happen to have the wrong energy.
Now is a terrible time to play this deck. Dusclops, Dusknoir, Radiant Alakazam, Munkidori. Too much out now to spread damage. Plus devolution??? Just seems bad.

That seems like the perfect inclusion. Use Grookeys to get Applins and Dipplins on the bench and Roseanne to confirm the attack every turn.
Roseanne's Backup is ideal
Oh great idea! Running out of Festival Grounds doesn't feel good in this deck, you're right, this could be a life saver.
What did you take it out for though?
@PokiLee can you post your list?

I could see it. Any deck is possible as long as it has synergy. Hydrapple evolving from dripplin means helps as a late game attacker.

Sounds fun
Devious putting this up after you Ancient box deck 😂

We getting the fish involved too? Okayyyyyyy 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I use double turbo for its ability. Can flip to discard an energy. Attacks twice with festival lead.
I’ve been playing apple deck since the release of maskarade. So far survival brace has yield the best results.
I would like to see a decidueye deck with the new decidueye
Well see what i can do!
Been playing a the Swim Deck with the thwacky engine, as you can have goldeen in the active, use your thwacks and then evo to seaking and charge up 🙃

I did a tournament online with hybrid diplin and tortera. Won some and lost some but it was a fun deck to play, glad you made a video on it
I’m
Converting my festival leads deck to Hydrapple next month
The intro could have been contemplating decks to beat moon while eating an apple

Now that Ditto is fixed, I’d like to see another video on lost wings. I love that deck!

Do you go first or second with this deck ? Most festival using arven use tech.evo but not this one, so maybe you are going first ?
I would take out an iono and put in an irada to help get either the goldeen or manphy
I love this deck! I'm in it too! 🐒🍎
Wow! Loving that Intro! Nice LDF
I tried combining thwackey with swim freely seaking and fineon. I thought it synergizes well.
You should try that seaking deck that made top 16 in the silver squad tournament
love when i shout my self out in the live and it make the video.
I love this new intro to the video

Why not counter catcher the second Thorns to KO it with all of their lightning energy on it?
NOOOOOOOOO I have been running this deck and LOVING it so many rage quits lol...but now everyone else will play it

Yee worse green on purpose 🍎

venusaur ex with Teal Mask Ogerpon

Just a shame the other big deck is quad Thorns. As soon as you come up against it then you lose.
Why? i haven't lost to them once
Thorns' ability doesn't work against one prizers. I love playing against thorns.

What about rabsca?
Eh i tried it its very mid
