- Finally i have a new video for you. Changing the engine oil on my 2015 A45 AMG. Filmed with my new GoPro Hero 8 Black. Sadly i had problems with the lighting in the Workshop so there was flickering in the video. I tried to reduce the flickering at the expense of in-motion unsharpness. Hope you enjoy it anyway.

As much as i love any car mecanic related video i cant say how much i aprecciate a video like this, so clean, methodical, silent with great love and attention, with almost no mess and great order on the tools, amazing, just as i love to do things! Great video and great car, my mom actually have the basic version of that model, beautifull car.

What do you think about not draining the oil but instead using suction pump?
I use Loctite 242 ( blue ) on the threads of drain plug with no problems of leaking , another good video !
Thanks :) Yes, Loctite is a good sealing for a drain plug.
Iam looking at buying an 2013 a45 amg just scared of problems with them like transmission what should I look out for when buying and are they pretty reliable to own

Sorry for the question, i can be wrong too, but can i put first the oil filter and then the engine oil? Cause it looked like you took the oil first and then the oil filter

why didint u use oil on the inside of ur seal ring from the filter? u can brace the ring and it might break.

It's called a strut bar or strut brace
Where do you see the torques? What platform do you use if you use the workshop manual?
I use the WIS (workshop information system) from Mercedes-Benz.
why dont you use the genuine AMG oil 0W40 ?

What is the purpose of marking the drain plug?
Adhi Prabowo to see if it bolt has loosen up due to vibration
it’s called witness mark to see if the bolt has loosen up after a period of time
It's also called a tamper seal if your a dealer or some kind of organization marking the drain plug makes sure the oil change has been done already so it doesn't need to be drained and more importantly it prevents the customer from draining the oil after the service and coming back claiming theirs was no oil in the car or claiming the bolt was not tighten.

Wenn man das getriebe Öl wechelt muss man da etwas neu kalibrieren oder irgendwas anderes beachten? Oder kann man einfach altes Öl raus und neues rein und alles i. O. ohne weiteres?

Nach dem Getriebeölwechsel muss mit dem Diagnosesystem der Getriebeölstand gemessen werden. Ich werde bald ein Video dazu machen.

Is this oil is good enough for AMG ? We are using 5W40 Motul 300V for turbo engines.
This Shell oil is MB 229.5 approved. So its suitable for this engine.
shell oil is absolutely wonderfull, I found out it is easily burned but it is a good thing.
Nice video as always. You can fix the flickering by going to settings on the GoPro and change the video from PAL to NTSC or NTSC to PAL 😉

Hi WaveCeptor! what's the correct amount of oil that is needed after an oil change? It looked like you refilled 6L, but I wasnt sure it looked like one 1L bottle was already opened.
I remember it was 5,5L, but not sure.

You're right. It is 5,5 liters.
Hi! Could you explain,what do you use red paint for?
Its an indicator, so that everyone can see that the screw was tightened with torque. And you can see if the screw gets loose by itself.

Since Mobil changed the "New Life" to "FS", yes.
Why did you mark the plug after draining it? to prevent from leaking?
Its an indication for an tightened bolt or screw. With this marking you can also see if the bolt get unsrewed by itself.
