This is a Captain Hero Class tier list video for Heroes of might & magic 3: Horn of the Abyss.

Love the portraits in the corner. I know the secondary skills of all heroes, but not the primary ones so it is nice
I love the portraits and I don't even know the secondary skills. Last time I played this game like 5 years ago, but these videos want me to play it again :) BTW this is the first time I hear about Cove faction

@@rasmussten1206 I have like a trillion question mark in my head! Last thing I have heard about the whole series is that HOMM 7 was shut down and no more content is coming out. Compared to that you are saying we might get another faction this year??? OMG My mind is blown out.

I really like the way you do the tribunal now. There's still room for you to explain your entire thought process and then we get a bit of a dialogue to give more nuance to the conversation. It's also good to see that different people prioritize different aspects of a hero.

I think the main thing captains have going on for them is that they were added so late into the game that all of their secondary skills make sense. There are no broken captains on a concept level, which you would see for original faction heroes like Piquedram, Gerwulf, Eagle Eye specialists, Heroes that start with Learning, heroes that start with scholar and without a spell book etc. This makes them so much more consistent in my opinion..

I would consider it to be a little minus, as imbalance is kinda also the feel of this game.
I really dislike that. Sorta gives the. This vibe that they don't belong in the game as a new class.
Part of the charm of older games is their flaws. Everyone is a winner, there must be no bad choices a player can make in games anymore.

Today i came back to H3 and fought that it is sad, that lexiav haven't made tier list for cove heroes yet... so basically u made my day :D

I really like the Tribunal portion of this. Very cool.
I agree with Miriam's placement, but in my world (I mostly play single player, big maps, presence of strong non-player AI's for a good challenge) she is God-tier, like on par with Tazar. The is no way to properly explore huge maps without her, I would take her as main or as a second in any town. She feels so awesome to play.
And Lina is maybe an S tier just because you would grab her every time you see her, just for the money. And with pathfinding she can run around picking up things. Not many heroes can be this useful on level one, if any.
17:00 if you didn't take that into consideration for Cassio then Shakti should be A tier

Leena might be my favourite hero in the game as I do love economy. But I have to admit I usually get her as a tavern hero... as I can't say no to Jeremy's Cannon.
I was so confused when the list was done but half the video was remaining. I was half-convinced he would go into a rant about the wonders of skill share or something.

Bro Jeremy is the most cost-effective hero in heroes 3 cmon he should be S tier he literally saves you money for the canon and is an ok hero

It can be done by editing templates to have him. I am not very experienced in this, but have played a few that had him.
I think you put Leena way too low - she's (imo) the best secondary hero in the game, for any faction. And even if you'd prefer to see some other side hero she just returns the gold you spent on her in couple days anyway. Considering all other captains are really good you might even like to start with her and then main any faction hero that comes to your tavern.
Bidley? Can anyone help me letting me know who this is? I have the latest version of hota but I don't see this Bidley hero anywhere?

Corkes is so similar to Neela. Even with the perfect stats moving forward, you can never really shake off the disappointment to have a less wanted skill by default.
In my view Jeremy is much better than Derek. Canon is a power stack that we get for free. It is not easy decision for enemy to focus canon in first round. Furthemore it is easier to buy a new canon than look for more army. 4k gold is nothing after early game.
When it was mentioned that it can kill 3 archangels Lexi stated that they could just 1 shot the cannon anyways. It's not like the archangels can just yolo across the battlefield and kill the cannon on the first action anyways, it would get pummeled and they likely have much higher priority targets than a cannon anyways. Lastly, a cannon is an 8th "powerstack" which no other hero has access to, which comes with the opportunity cost of 1 skill. Lexi definitely knows much more than I do, but I can't help but feel he undersold Jeremy a bit as well :/

Point is for viewers to be able to hear multiple opinions, rather than only my one. :D Even if we don't disagree, hearing other people adds to it in my opinion.

I cannot agree with you. Leela, the gold specialist, is by far best hero in the game. Lots and lots of gold means more creatures, better upgrades etc. And you can hire more powerful hero anytime. So it is great to start with her, get some experience and take another great fighter - or simply continue using her as a main hero. Best heroes from captains: leela, cannon specialist. While i velieve Derek is not that great...
Of course the Cove Heroes are all going to be great...they were created by die-hard Heroes fans and Modders. These guys created the Cove faction lol. So of COURSE every Hero they design is going to be solid and useful in some way...
One of the good things about Cove is that none of their heroes are completely dogshit.
Because they have a bad examples when creating Cove

If cassio is S tier, because of starting army, same with Shakti, or any other hero with tier 1 specialty are S tier, but they were not put there, so Cassio is A tier too.
