This video doesn't have the standard Germany ball in it. The reason behind it being RUclips demonetized my last Hoi4 video for "Hateful and derogatory content" due to the swastika in the ball. This was however undone as RUclips recognized it was an unjust demonetization as the German flag during WW2 literally has it in it. Anyways this video was edited on the basis that I wouldn't be able to monetize in the future with that in them. This will mean it'll be back next video again! :)

I am actually kind of annoyed that you can nuke the core of an ally without consequence. Repeatedly nuking Paris would never have been allowed by the free French government. If it had gone ahead anyway Free France probably would've left the allies all together or face a mass mutiny.

This was honestly one of my favorite livestreams in a long time. Using a feature like forts that have been in the game forever and giving it a breath of fresh air was awesome to see. Also the way everyone in the Axis got behind this and pitched in was so wholesome. 10/10 content
It gave me the worst flashbacks to eu4's fort system.

turning ww2 into ancient warfare of mostly sieging cities, the script was good in this one
There is the argument that something similar sort of happened during the war in cities such as Leningrad and Sevastopol, only in the reverse positioning

@@alect525But in history too - most of the french port cities were heavily fortified. Americans tried to take Breast. They succeded but
1. They took heavy losses
2. They didn't achive total victory. After securing the city and port the Germans retreated on small isles making each of them small fortress so they could distrupt any supplies transport
3. Fights took too long
4. Port was cometly devastaded and it would take too long to repair it. So all of that operation was in vaine.
After that Allies just gave up on taking city ports in France because it made no sense so acctually those holdouts kept fighting up to 9th May 1945

Jesus, how much armor can the allies pump out? Twenty tanks dead in 43, another twenty in 45, not to mention those lost in the d-day pushed out off-screen in 44. Freaking wild
That why the axis really have to achieve an insane level of success early on, so by the time the allies can just pump out an endless amount of tanks, the axis already have a very large force of their own that can out kill their production while minimizing their loses to manageable numbers. If the axis don't achieve that kind of success, often they have to hail mary on an insane barb in 1941 or even 1940 to finish the game quick and early before the allies' production outpaces theirs.
Thats what happens when Japan died. Usually they at least distract the Indian garrison and the canadian and SAF tanks there

There’s not a single civilian left in France at this point sadly, the axis soldiers in Paris were futurama mutants fighting from the sewers and still holding. They say if you hang out by a lamp post in Milan in the middle of the night, you can still hear the whispers of fallen waifus, and the broken echoes of Presidential campaigns.

Ah yes, the fabled counter attack by Steiner to relieve the fortresses and throw the Allies back. What do you mean it threw them back into the channel not once, not twice, but thrice?
There was honestly probably like a half dozen ddays, but only the bigger ones are really shown. After pushing them out, the germans were too busy reorganizing the eastern front to set the atlantic wall up again, so the allies were free to just reinvade basically unopposed, so they did a few times. They would quickly halt at the fortress cities and then get pushed out by some tanks.

The entire reason why the retaking of Paris was an accomplishment OTL is now gone. It's just a series of craters around what used to be the Eiffel Tower (German AA Site). Italian craters exist too. France over all loses like 5 million people from the nuking of Paris and the fallout on the surrounding cities.

@@tinchorb1340I’m aware, but they didn’t really help the German war effort, outside of having to maybe have a couple hundred men in reserve for them. They were basically all on islands and the Allies essentially determined that they just weren’t worth wasting manpower on capturing lmao
