I've always thought of Bokutachi as a very happy, smug, and confident character, but I see now how he's broken just like all of us. I see now that all the jokes he's cracked was just to mask pain, shame, embarassment, and who knows what else. This video was very eye opening and I hope Bokutachi-kun and Hitoshi-kun are doing well. Thank you for letting me see this side of Bokutachi-kun. Adios tomodachis~

@@starchaser777 yeah, even in the older episodes you can see some techniques a complete beginner to art wouldn't know right away. During the festival sequence they shade with cooler colors and the light is with warmer colors, and sometimes the animation is actually decent like when hitoshi kicks the doctor's door down and when he takes off his shades.

Honestly I can see they are actually a good artist under all the irony of making it bad. There animation was too fluid and also some angles and proportions were drawn too well that it becomes obvious that they can really draw if they aren't drawing for this series
@@sadcena7204 oh definitely. At 0:50 when he’s typing at the computer you can definitely tell that they genuinely can draw but make it crap for the bit. Someone who genuinely didn’t know how to draw wouldn’t have drawn him hunched over with his arms bent like that, they they would have him sit awkwardly and his hands would go straight forward to the keyboard. Even if it’s crudely drawn they have improved so much they can no longer truly hide their talent.
Notice how Bokutachi’s eyes are blue? I have been keeping up with the Nyan~ Kawaii Sugar Neko Girls lore for many years and remember in the very first airing of this anime in 2010, what color was the sky? That’s right, it was blue. That could only mean that Bokutatchi was watching over the gang the entire time. And in reference to this song that he is covering, Dream is also the “god” of his own universe. Could Bokutachi-san perhaps play a bigger role in Nyan kawaii sugar neko girls than we originally thought? Bokutachi-san is actually God

As a long time enjoyer of japanyase, I noticed when he wrote "daijoubu" next to "not normal", it made me feel so seen and wholesome

The funniest thing about this whole channel is that you can genuinely see the animator becoming better at animating. At first we had basic frames played with the same time distance between them, no animating in twos or threes or whatever. And the that one 22/2/22 or something came out and despite the artstyle still being in wonderful mspaint the animation actually got so damn good?? And then this mask video where you can GENUINELY see the talent of playing with frame timings and angles and lightning and what not

When looking at Raku's college flashback during the NNSG Finale, you can see that their outfits match! The neko girls went to college with Bokutachi !

The ironic thing is, the animation is quite good… as is the person who is singing. Don’t get me wrong, they’re SUPPOSED to be singing badly and off key… but if you’re not professionally trained and you’re already a good singer, it’s REALLY hard to sing “convincingly” bad. I can hear it in the small moments where they’re on key and quite smooth!
