Logitech G Pro Wireless Review by FPS Veteran

- Medium, ambidextrous with modular side buttons, top optical sensor, wireless and under 80 grams. Just those stats alone can get this mouse the number one spot. But combined with the quality and other Logitech features, it should be an easy pick as the top mouse for a lot of people.
That's of course if you can afford it and it suits your hand size. Either way, this is a huge step in the right direction and Logitech is just getting better and better with its shape. I still prefer things about the G403 and I think they might have played this one a bit too safe, but I'm not complaining, it feels great, performs brilliantly and is an exceptional piece of hardware.
Definitely worth a look, I love this mouse.

When are mouse companies going to start quoting you on their boxes?

"There is no such thing as the perfect mouse"
except they wouldn't put that on their box because thats a bad marketing term lol

See you on Crete - Invasion with it 😈
And the best sensor on the market...
until you find out its price....
DOI Central
You can use it intensive, still needing the PowerPlay? remember to plugwalk it in!
You can find this in cheaper mice too, $80 G703, not that pro?
well you can literally get two logitech g703 mice for that price.
150€ is really a bit too much for it if you ask me. and if you want the full experience you have to pay another 120€ for the mousepad @-@
hopefully the mousewheel doesnt have a failure rate of 50% after 3 months like the g403/603/703
if the mice company want to make a lot of money they should hire zy as mouse designer
They already made a lot of money tho... A LOT
Not a large say though
Well yes and no. He does do a thorough job on describing all the details of the mice he reviews, which is great. But I also found out that the shapes he likes are the ones that I absolutely hate. For example the Zowie EC1 and EC2.
I've tried many mice, but for me, the MX518/G400 shape is by far the best shape still to this day. Once you get used to that shape, you will find every mouse lacking in the shape area.
However I hate mice cables, since I noticed that they do influence my aim a lot (I use a high sensitivity).
So I'm still waiting for a modern G400 wireless :(

Zy honestly you make peoples lives so much easier with these reviews. Thank you.
Probably one of my favorite things about your videos is that you play Quake in the background and not whatever flavor of the month fps game is going around.
Sure you could boost your numbers by appealing to current trends but you're not really after that, you're after accurate reviews that give people the information they need to pick a mouse that fits *them*.
And even though you're playing Quake, the skill shows.
People can tell that the mouse can perform in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing, even if they don't play Quake. It's a game that one can watch and instantly tell if you're a skilled player or not.
And I think that matters a lot more than some people give it credit for.
I may have quit Quake, but is is still fun as hell to watch.
Keep up the good work.
Think it's cause Quake is a far more movement and aiming oriented game than the popular games today. It has all aspects of aiming, like leading shots, prediction shots, hitscan tracking, travel time tracking, hit scan shots, flick shots, rocket jumps, various forms of advanced movement that requires good mouse control. If it works in Quake, it works on all of them. Also, it looks impressive when someone is really good, even for people that never played an arena shooters.
This is my first viewing of one of your videos. I have to say im impressed, I've never seen such a in depth review of a mouse before! Good stuff :)
Damn dude, you're like the God of Mouse Reviews
Your videos are so organized and well structured. I knew nothing about gaming mice an hour and a half ago. Now I can confidently purchase a 150usd mouse. Thank you for doing this so well! It's so convenient and newbie friendly
Whenever i need a new mouse, i keep coming back to your RUclips page. You truly are the best mouse reviewer and i have yet to be disappointed when using your advice/ranking to choose my next product.
P.S. Forgot the most important thing which is to thank you for your effort and i hope it earns you good money by now.
Logitech G Pro Wireless Review > Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti Review
Your bank account ain't feeling it
@@Tim_593 Most people don't set shadows to high/very high anyway (many even turn it off for performance reasons), so no it's not the biggest step. It's great tech no doubt, but Jensen only mentioned that the 2080 Ti is 10 times (i think) better than the 1080 Ti in RAY TRACING. But he didn't even mention how much faster the new cards are in terms of traditional performance. It's not worth chucking $700 for a 2070 if it isn't even worth the price compared to the 1070 in performance without ray tracing. It's great tech, but I'll have to wait for the next gen of RTX cards for the price to be justified.
I actually just heard that the cards are 10 times better at everything from my workplace, I didnt know it was just for ray tracing, lol
@@Tim_593 Jensen was vague about how much better it truly is than Pascal in traditional performance. That's a good way to generate hype; being vague. If you saw the twitch chat during the live presentation, you'd see people being suspicious because Jensen seemed disingenuous. Don't ride the hype train until you see real results in various tests.
Tangela Merkel 30fps @ 1080p with an rtx 2080ti and ray tracing gimpworks. Pathetic.
Holy god this is the mouse I've been waiting for.
ye I always wanted something like the G703 but with more symmetry. This might be it! I already use the G703 with Powerplay and I love it, but there was always this wish fore a bit more symmetry
i've been using Razer Deathadder for 5 years and thought that it was the best mouse ever. I'm a CS:GO player with a low sens (eDPI: 800). after seeing many pros using G pro wireless and watching tons of reviews, i decided to bought this mouse. as many people say, changing new mouse will need at least 2 weeks of adjustment. however, it was not true, it only took me 1 hour to get used to this mouse. it was so light and no limitation of movement (really suits for low sens player). now my Deathadder feel like shit. this mouse was definitely worth the buy, thanks to this review for helping me deciding choose this mouse :)
It's great until the double clicking starts. The issue is still widespread and not fixed. Mine lasted 8 months. I thought I was lucky and would never get the double clicking issue. Nope, was wrong. Dealing with Logitech's customer service is a nightmare too. You will have to jump through hoops to get a replacement. Their replacements are most likely refurbished and likely will start double clicking as well. Still tons of negative reviews to this day on Amazon about all this. It's unfortunate too because I LOVED the mouse. Hopefully they 'll come out with an upgraded version in the future with switches that don't double click. Good luck on your copy though, may RNGeezus praise you.

Hello Zy!
I've been using FK2 for 3 years and now after having some issues with my arm I've decided to test around a bit so after a long investigation I decided to buy G Pro Wireless.
After using it for almost 2 weeks, I feel like it doesn't fit me well. I feel that the problem lies in the hump at the back of G Pro whereas the FK2 hump is very centered and it's flat. I decided to return it, but my question for you is: do you think trying out EC2-A/B would be a good idea? Cause IMO looking at the photos the hump is flat like in fk2, even though the mouse itself has a definitely higher profile. From your experience: do you think high profile is not a problem and the hump is, or maybe it's just that high mice will be hard for me to get used to after using low fk2 for such a long time?
BTW I use palm/claw mix, 19,5cm. Thanks in advance!

amazing mouse. Unfortunately the shape is awful for me as a palm grip :/ i've sent it back and bought an s2 and an EC2-B to replace my ec2-A ...
The day zowie will make a wireless mouse with the reactivity of the G pro wireless and the shape of the EC2 or S2 i would be ready to instapay it NO MATTER the pricetag !
Thanks for the review Zy , as always
Great review, I went out and got one based on this review when considering reviews by other on other mice.
Just switched to this from the G Pro. I just love everything about it : Lightweight, wireless and lesser travel distance on the side buttons. Seriously, the scroll button on the G Pro are extremely hard to press. If you want the best of the best, this might be it.
Brilliant mouse but i have decided to go for a different option after using it for a month, in the first month the left mouse button was faulty and kept double clicking randomly causing me to issue a refund and my 2nd mouses left and right mouse button are incredibly soft yes it has a snap but it is hardly noticeable. If you like more tension on your mouse clicks this is not the mouse for you as it has really light clicks in my opinion. Going to be getting the Zowie FK1 as its the same size width and length as this mouse but with more tension on the clicks thanks for making this awesome review of the mouse though Zy!

Logicae how is it?, how do you charge it? Do you plug it in to your computer and can you use it while charging?
Max Rax It’s the best purchase of a mouse I could have made. The way it charges is with a wire connected to it that links to your PC, this when not charging is how the wireless system works as you attach the sensor to the wite to detect the mouse. It has over a 60 hour charge so I’ll recharge it about once a week, it would be more if not for how it reduced energy waste when not in use for a minute and so shuts off but is instantly back when moved again. Charging to full takes less than an hour. You can’t use it whilst charging but they’ll never be a situation where you’ll need to with how long it lasts and the logitech programme reminds you when it’s low (about 20%) which is plenty of time.
Max Rax TLDR Great mouse, no regrets.
Logicae I saw something that said you can use it while charging are you sure?
Max Rax Sorry, yes the charger is also the wire I think, but I see no reason to use wired so I’ve never tried it
this is the perfect wireless mouse i will buy one as soon as i can

Not complaining
The g305 is still the one for me but I do appreciate the design changes and improvements
depends on the shape that you want. This is more like the Zowie FK's market destroyer
zowie is more low profile, more similar to g305 than this.
I really wanted to like the g305. I hate the shell material though. I found it too slippery
G305 life the 250 hour battery life is also nice. But just keep a battery near by as the logitech software seems spotty on being able to tell remaining battery for some
+Zymon Ramirez For me the shell material has rubbed off on the contact points of the G305, and the plastic underneath is pretty grippy now. If you liked the shape, just using it alone would reduce how slippery it is.
I've bought that mouse in January. By march, I needed a replacement because my left mouse button startet to register double clicks instead of single clicks. Now it's may and my replacement (different batch) starts having the same issue. It's really a shame :-( I hope my next replacement lasts longer...
wow..its not a year yet but got double click? damn.. i read on this comment section, a few said that their mouse (this mouse) has the same issue with u.. hope u new replacement has no issue.. btw i still stuck with g400s..
I dont care for the mouse much but goddamn this is a fucking well made video
Zy, I love and watch your videos quite frequently. You're by far the most well organized and professional voice on this subject so you're always my go to when it comes to mice.I would like to as you a question. In your opinion, what is currently the best mouse sensor out on the market today?
Hey man, amazing video, can you compare it with a normal, wired Logitech G Pro? I have the wired g pro (bought it cuz of ur review) and im thinking about switching to this one.
It really wouldn't make much of a difference performance wise. The only question that is important when discussing these two mice in particular is whether you want a wireless mouse or not.
Spencer Carruth Hm I was also thinking shape wise cuz wired g pro fits me perfectly so I’m kinda scared to experiment with expensive mice
if you want the G pro shape you should go for the G305 instead ;) And get lithium batterys. Exact same shape as the Gpro, about 85g with 1 lithium AA battery
i have a g305 and am loving it, plus i haven't had to charge the battery once yet (i'm using a 1300mah rechargeable battery)
If you like the gPro shape don't get this mouse! If you want wireless go with the g305.
I bought the g pro wireless and I'm regretting it. It feels huge
i just bought g304 (305) and i love it! perfect size for my 17/9 hand and surprisingly good shape for claw grip.
i use regular dry cell battery to power it as it is lighter than the included alkaline battery.
Haha we have a similar hand size and I also have the g305, my hand is 17 cm by 9.5 cm!
@@drake5423 me too, even smaller 16/9 switched from g603 to g305.
Nice!, I switched from ec2-a to g305, Its such a different mouse, i like it because i can use a lithium battery and take off the cover so its 81 grams
Im torn between getting a g305 and a zowie ec-2a, im kind of leaning towards the g305 tho cuz i have a 16/8 hand and i palm grip
I personally suggest getting a g305, The ec2a is great but i ended up switching to g305 because i aimed a lot better, also i suggest using a lithium ultimate energizer battery and taking the shell off if you want to, I used the ec2a for a while but after using the g305 i aim a lot better because it fits my hand size better (17/9.5), And it gave me more mobility to aim, I use a variety of grips i normally claw or palm tho but i also fingertip and everything works good with it. Both are good options but i personally suggest the g305

I've been a Deathadder disciple for an eternity, but when I built my new PC earlier this year (after a 5 year no-gaming-PC break) I went with the G403 on your recommendation and gotta say it's really great. Now the mousewheel gave up on me so I had it returned and got a Deathadder again for the hell of it. I feel like my worldview is shattered, like I'm betraying an old friend. I can't go back to the Razer. It's too large for my hands, something I had never realized.
The G Pro Wireless seems like a good alternative, but I'm not sure about ambidextrous mice. Only ever tried the FK2 and didn't suit me that well, but could've been the shape.
tl;dr there are too many mice to choose from
Hello Zy, I've just got the mouse very recently because before that I was using the G903 but the shape of it is not good for my hand, it hurts when I use it for a long time. With this mouse, it's a completely different story. I used to think this mouse looks super ugly on the outside, now I've realized how stupid I was. Using it is so comfortable that I always try to look for things to do on the computer, apart from gaming. Also, the weight is so light that I almost feel nothing when gaming. I always hated the ambidextrous designs but this, again, changes my mind. And, I had to turn down my DPI settings a bit because this mouse is so light weight my flicks and aim are affected lol.
I'd instantly buy it when they release a version of this that is less wide...

4:36 Binaural Mouse Button Clicking ASMR for Sleep and Stress Relief
So I have owned this mouth since October. I can honestly it is worth its price. When I think about PC purchases I make. All I think about is how great the mouse is. When I first started playing with the mouse. I only used left 2 side buttons because my pinky would always hit the other 2 buttons by accident during FPS games. After about a week or so. I figured out how to hold it and now I play with all 4 side buttons. I really do believe I can use it to its full potential. Also I take off the bottom power play thing to make it lighter. You can actually tell the difference in weight. Hopefully in the future they can make it cheaper. My only constructive criticism is better grip, but it is smooth like holding God's thumb.
They need to add the Hyperscroll back. Also add back the 2 little buttons below the mwheel from G900.
It must feel real good knowing that a company like Logitech cares enough about what you think to include you in the design process, even if it is just a minor role. It's been awesome to see what they've done over the last couple of years to push wireless and sensor technology. I picked up a G703 with the powerplay mat a couple of months ago, and it's so nice using a wireless gaming mouse with a quality sensor and zero lag.

I've had mine since a week after release and I love this thing if you set the polling rate to 500hz with lights off battery life is at 83 hours. Also I don't even turn mine off the sleep mode is awesome the effect on battery life is negligible. My biggest complaint is I think it's a bit slippery and that is my only real gripe about this mouse.
Very nice review, that's what I was looking for and it's nice that 150K people got to view Quake Champion so that could bring some new people as Bethesda is just aweful at marketing the game. I asked the biggest local store today if they had an ETA but nothing. Will you have Amazon links for Canada or only for US/UK/AUS? If I get the possibility I will obviously support the channel for sure.
The side buttons seems so small compare to the G403 Wireless I have, and it's been the only mouse with a claw grip where I've been able to just barrely hit the closer thumb button without moving my thumb, so I hope those new buttons aren't too high so ur thumb can still rest on it rather than completely below it as when you play QC you don't have the time to move ur finger on the mouse, it must already be over the button. I wonder how much gram it would have added if they kept the light on the wheel as it was nice looking and if it was only 1-2g they should have kept it imo.
It's surprising these feets are faster even though they make more friction, I thought it would had been the opposite but being a high-sens user at 3000DPI, that could be good for me. I still feel it's nowhere worth near 200$CAD and should had been 50$ less but I prolly still will get it as it's not just a little better and I was about to buy a (Ultralight) mouse so that came in just in time. I just feel that Logitech BS us with their "Best wireless ever, 1ms blabla" while I'm pretty sure it was already just as good on the G403. Anyway if it's going to be ~25g less with 5x more battery life I'm all in already. Oh I forgot... RJN didn't say if the side for the thumb was the same as the G403 or slippery plastic like the top bottom part of the G403 cause looking at it it seems like basic no-grip plastic :/
What if my hand size is 15.5cm by 10cm FeelsWeirdMan
Zoe Zachary then you get Zowie EC2A
fragilities wtf is this hand
Is the LOD adjustable?
No, but it has surface calibration.
Nice video ! What should i do , wait for g pro wireles or buy the g305 ?
depends on your hands
G305 is anazibgv
Depends if you want to charge the battery or just swap out the battery. I use the g305 and 1 AA battery life lasted me for about 3 months(that is still with 15% left, the led on the mouse will light red if you reached 15% battery). The mouse will turn off itself when u idle about 10 mins or shut down your computer. What i have to complain about the mouse is the logitech logo. Because it is spray-painted. So it will fade over time. My logo is already gone. Other than that. Everything is excellent.
depends on your hand size.
Depends on
Hand size
Grip type
AA vs lithium ion battery
Budget
Gpro wireless or the ec2b I play competitive csgo PUBG and occasionally fortnite
Depends on your hand size, Zy gives a lot of info about finding a mouse using your hand size. You will also need to know your grip style. If you use palm grip the most then I recommend EC2b for sure, its awesome, but not that good for a different grip like claw/fingertip; which are the perfect grips for the GPW, but it still depends on your hand size.
Damn, our hands are the exact same length and width. I've decided to pick up this mouse, it's coming in Wednesday to replace my broken G900 :)
08:08 Are there two different versions of the G Pro Wireless?
no there are 2 versions
@@badtrap9720 ?
Finally!
Joeyjo70
Finally! ??? you need those lefty buttons? G903 to weird?
What u use now?
It may be a wireless G pro. But it’s not a g pro wireless. It’s a wireless fk.
the FK dips down further in the front so your fingers are more at an angle. Logitech seem to make all their mice lifted in the front (which i don't like).
but G pro is completely different not even one similarity. G305 is more g pro than g pro wireless.
I agree the name is stupid. Why not call the g305 the g pro wireless, and call this the g305
Hopefully they carry the straight side shape over to the G305. Also, can we please have a TKL wireless keyboard Logitech? We have the mice, now we need the keyboards.
How I wish they make a small version of this. Since I have small hands and uses fingertip grip, it's so hard to get a good mouse that's wireless.
Damn the price, I must have this mouse.
