The knob (silver plastic part) is broken on mine. The crank works but the whole assembly feels really fragile. This confirms that I need to look for a AV-1 specific rewind knob spare part! Although as noted by the presenter on this video, the rewind knob part number for the AL-1 is different than that of the AE-1 Program, it is, however, identical in fit, form and function. I have just fitted one. The AL-1 knob can therefore be used as a direct replacement for the AE-1 Program. Broken complete AL-1's can be found cheaper than the knob alone for the AE-1 Program on the second-user market!!
