Just made this hat. It was so much fun and easy to make. I left the pom pom off. It's for my Grandson not his gig. I used "I Love This Chunky" yarn #5 in Black Marble. It looks so nice. And soft as well. Thank you so much! 🖤
OMGOSH!! I can hardly wait to make this. I have left over yarn from the chunky scarf I learned from you with the cute tassels. So now, I will have a hat to match. THANK YOU❤❤❤
When I crochet my hats, I do the first roll with the back bump and I stitch together with the from loop and the other side the back loop. That make the hat look finished braided look.
You are such a great teacher. Love this easy hat. Thank you so much for always bringing such great crochet 🧶 patterns. Stay safe & be well. Happy crocheting 🧶
@@lisal8529 I went with a purple heather I found on etsy. Doesn't really keep with the theme, but these relatives are LSU fans, so everything has to be purple. 🤣
Hi. Could you please give the approx stitch count measurements in cm or inches as we use diff types of wool and the sizing becomes a challenge. Thank you.
@@lisal8529 Yep I did click on that and it took me to the monthly box option. I didn't see this yarn in the search. Did you happen to find it? Thanks so much for your help!
@@lisal8529 Yep... that is where my search led me also. I wasn't sure if I was right though cause like you said designers don't usually use yarn you can't get. Thanks for backing my search! 😊
Very pretty hat Jennifer! You couldn’t have picked a better yarn to match the beautiful fall colors! With regard to substituting yarn would you classify that yarn as a chunky 5 weight or. Bulky 6?

Very pretty hat Jennifer! You couldn’t have picked a better yarn to match the beautiful fall colors! With regard to substituting yarn would you classify that yarn as a chunky 5 weight or. Bulky 6?
In the written instructions, Jennifer mentions a Super Bulky/6 with 9mm hook.
That is a great question! The yarn is called "chunky" but when I used it, it was feeling much more like a super bulky/6. Hope that helps a little. :)
It definitely does! Thank you!
Bledsoes Thank you! I haven’t looked at the pattern. I will do that!😄
Love it, thank you!
