Thank you very much , very informative and helpful . Good luck and God bless to everyone who has any of these problems. I myself have several disc bulges and its a painful situation , fortunately i can get into comfortable positions and the cramping seems to not be as bad as it was but im still 40% my best , 10 weeks in i feel that rest and meds are very slightly making it better but in my heart i think im going to havd a small operation to take the bulges away ,im an optimist at heart and im trying to get a positive out of this and for sure ill never take my health and comfort for granted again , all the best everyone , mick.
I had an MRI a week ago that shows I have three bulging discs in my lumbar but the worst one is a diffuse disc bulge with broad-based central disc protrusion and bilateral facet djd, moderate bilateral lateral recess stenosis with contact of the descending nerve roots bilaterally, and mild bilateral foraminal stenosis. That’s the L4-L5. I feel like surgery is on the horizon because so far none of the conservative treatments have helped at all. I’ve had chiropractic adjustments, TENS unit, cupping, stretches, gabapentin and mobic. I’m somewhere between 40-50 days of miserable pain and discomfort. It never goes away. A constant pain level of 5 if I’m not moving. Movement brings it up to 7-8 and the wrong moves bring it up to 10+, unbearable pain. It’s all in my leg from my hip to my foot. I can’t perform sciatic flossing exercises, fail the slump test, positive crossed sciatic sign. It sucks bad. I gotta wait two more weeks for a follow up appointment with the doctor to see what’s next. Injections or surgery I suspect.
Really sorry to hear you're in pain. I'm in a similar position myself. Had an MRI scan and the results show I have minor disk bulge in L4-5 And L5-S1. I've had it for 3 months now and doesn't seem to be getting any better. Do you have any recommendations for exercise or stretches that might help? Going to a Ostiopath next week privately, see if they can help. I pray that your condition gets better, I know it really sucks. Don't give up hope.
@@rajeevsinghal6439 I’m having surgery in two days. A microdiscectomy. Hopefully it will end this misery but we’ll see. The doctor is going in on the left side which is the worst side but really the disc is encroaching on more than just that one nerve.
I have this, tbh I’ve treated it by doing loads of exercises, every day, tennis and Pilates. You either put the hours in which is good for your overall health too or you deal with the pain and self-medicate your way through it.
@@martin0paz The only thing you need not to feel pain is a very strong core strength. Everyone thought exercise was bad for arthritis because it caused pain, but now they say you just have to manage the pain in the beginning and it starts to ease up after enough exercise.
